Current thinking on best oil filter

Purolator and Mobil make cartridge filters for the 1st gens??? -
I dont trust Harbor Freight Electronics. I barely trust their hand tools. I use a Schumacher battery companion http://www.modifiedelectricscooters.com/forum/userstuff/gameboy/200791113418_200771616327_schumacher_companion.jpg

Denser, colder air equals more power AND better fuel economy. I'll echo the goose and ask, How many miles were on the tank of gas?
-
the wear bars are those little cross hatch things that show up under the rubber!!!
-
You mean like this? I just took the picture 10 minutes ago, just for this thread. This is my current front tire, I have no idea how many miles are on it. It was on the bike when I bought it and I've put 10,000 on the bike since June. Hoping to get another 3 or 4 thousand out of it.

Current thinking on best oil filter

The 1st gens use the same filter as my XJ1100 and I always used the fram. Never had any oil related problems. -
My brother has been insulin dependent since he was 12 years old when his pancreas shut down. I guess that is type 1 and type 2 is when you become insulin resistant. You still make insulin, but you're resistant to it. Most likely, cutting the carbs and doing some exercise would take care of most of the type 2's that I see.

I want to see if I can take a shock off a warrior or a roadstar and put it on the Venture. I would then replace the standard spring on the assembly with an 1100lb spring. I would have less than 120 bux in it and a more gooder shock!!! I need to know the measurements on the shock for eyelet to eyelet while it's off the bike.
-
Anyone have a blown rear shock off a 2nd gen laying around? I'd like to get some measurements off of it. I'm trying to replace the weak rear air shock with a standard spring and hydraulic shock.

You're anticipating the shot and pushing down and to the left, I do the same thing.

Yeppers, Here in Texas, you CAN shoot someone for taking your stuff without permission. I like it, I like it alot. Hell, here in Texas, you can shoot somebody for taking your neighbors stuff!!!

I thought they were already in charge!!! Heck, they've been in charge since the mid 1800's.

Im sure you're not running BIAS ply tires on your pick-up though. There's a reason why everything is steel belted now. I really wish that they would come out with some 16 or 18 wheels that will run a low profile steel belted radial.

After reading about Squidley's accident, I was wondering the same thing. I think these little 15 inch tires with the tall sidewalls aren't working too good. My Roadstar had 16 inch wheels, and I was always riding 2 up pulling a trailer at high speeds and had NO problems with tires. My Roadstar was very comparable in weight to the RSV. Add in the fact that the tires are under the saddlebags and have hot exhaust right next them, could be very restricted air flow for a tire.

In my little shed, I use my turkey fryer burner turned WAY down low. Makes A LOT of heat!!

One of my instructors at Nashville said "Diesel fumes won't kill you like gas fumes, but if breathe enough of them, you'll just wish you were dead".

I should reiterate and say that the amount of CO produced from Kerosene is very small compared to Gasoline. Kerosene heaters should not be used in a small, sealed room. It sounds like THIS particular heater is to be used in a garage or shed. We burned a kerosene heater in our garage for years with no problems. I can't stand the smell of gasoline exhaust or cigarettes, but I can't smell Kerosene burning.

Avon Venoms are a favorite, I like Metzlers but you're not allowed to say that on this site because a couple have come apart on folks. -

They just seem to get the wiggle cup a little sooner than other brands. It happens on these big tires from a lot of straight road riding. Many on the forum refer to them as "Brickstones". -

I bet you have Bridgestones on there and I bet they have started to cup. Maybe not enough to see it, but enough to feel it when the bike is layed over going through a turn. -
Oh yeah, it's just a 20 year old heater, burn the old stuff, it'll be fine.

I bought the last laptop listed on Dell's website listed with XP. Vista bad.

Im going to assume that you have just graduated to the 2nd level of bike ownership.

Diesel and Kerosene doesn't give off Carbon Monoxide. I'm a diesel mechanic.
