  1. Thoughts & prayers for the family. Larry
  2. Sorry to hear this Joe but at least we know now she no longer is suffering as she will be with past loved ones and our Lord in Heaven. Peace to you and family. Larry
  3. Have a safe trip Joe. Thanks to your sons service as well. Without people like him in our services this country wouldn't be what it is. Hope he enjoys his semi-retirement too. At least now it appears he'll be earning a nice income and hopefully safer doing it. See ya when you get home. Larry
  4. Been down that road with both of my folks and it certainly is a very trying thing to do. Saddens one to no end even thou we know it's in their best intrest to do it. Add my thoughts and prayers along with everyone else for Mom, you & family. Larry
  5. True there but I did have the bike on two wheels a couple/three years ya know. Lowering the front does create about the same effect as going to the 130 series tires. I did give the 130's a try thou and with my style of riding prefered he stock 150's. Currently on the trike I'm running a rear 150 Dunlop for the extra rubber. So far it's holding up quite well I might add with just a tad over 10 k on it. Larry
  6. You'll find many of us agreeing to Craig & SilvT's statements. If most of ones riding is in the twisties and mountains then they will like the 130 series better. Larry
  7. Congrads to the soon to be grand parents. Let the spoiling begin. Larry
  8. Yep you nailed it about that floating caliper dragging thus causing excessive wear. The real cure would probably a set with pistons on both sides like the fronts use. What would fit I have no idea there. Perhaps someone with more knowledge in this area will have an answer. Larry
  9. Another year gone by already?? Well Happy Birthday just the same. Hope it was a great day for ya Diane Larry

    Hockey

Back to Boston now. So next Wednesday the VC best take that game cause if the Bruins win their home game the Canuk's might be sorely embarrassed to lose game 7 in their building. All it'll take is one mistake as we saw in Fridays game. I except that the rest of the series will be pretty tightly played. Larry
  11. Yea been thinking the same thing here so you just may have some extra company there. Larry

This years Cup Finals is certainly one of the best series in years. At this point it's hard to tell who wants it the most. The Bruins have taken it up a notch or two while Vacouver seems to be stalled. Fridays game may give us an indictation of who's going to claim the Cup. Larry
  13. That was a great write up Randy. One of the best ways to travel the country is doing it much like you did. Sometimes we get in a bit of a hurry and don't take the time to smell the roses so to speak. It was great seeing you again and your new lady friend. Hope we cross paths down the road sometime, until then enjoy all life has to offer. Larry
  14. 20,000 on mine but then that was due mostly to having added a trike kit. Even then it never really slipped unless really getting hard on the throttle. I didn't want to have it develop problems down the road so installed a PCW upgrade kit. No problems with slippage since and now have over 43k on the clock. Larry
  15. Beat me to it Don. Larry
  16. Heck he even did a good job of hiding from me. Never got the chance to say hi to him. Seen him coming and going a couple times but was tied up with other folks then. Someday perhaps, Larry
  17. Yep he had the truck, no trailer thou, but at least he was able to stop by for a bit. Larry
  18. Arrived safe and sound about 1:30 as well. What a great weekend meeting new and old friends. Don's MD just keeps getting better and bigger every year. At the Friday evening Steak & Lube dinner there was nothing but a sea of Yamaha's in the parking lot. For once they out numbered Harley's and Honda's there. Staurday at Don's was a repeat thou I do have to admit it seems more of our ranks are flipping to Wings and H-D's. Can't blame them none since Mother Yamaha doesn't seem interested in improving the RSV's & RSTD's. Anyhow I would also like to thank Don & Ellien for opening their home to all of us. With this event growing each year it has to be a lot of work just prepping for it. THANKS for your willingness to do this for our club. Even thou there were some folks who didn't show by looking at the number of name tags left over we surely must of have exceeded last years head count. Later, Larry & Joyce
  19. I have seen one Venture trike with a "leading link" set up but have never seen any advertised anywhere. Basicly they will do the same thing as raking the forks and that is changing the trail. Maybe it would be a custom made set up and ya Condor the pic you show is what Hawque is looking for. Larry
  20. While I haven't seen nor head of ayone doing this to a RSV about all you could put inside the bars would be the elecrical wires and even them it'd be one tight fit if you could get them all in there. Keep in mind one reason the customizers can do all that is the size of the bars they use. Larry
  21. [Quote "I saw nothing there that indicated that they even did or do the RSV,,, From what I know ( which is limited ) the only kits available for the RSV is Hannigan, and Tri Wing. " quote] This is true from my researches as well for any current companies doing conversions on these bikes. I do know that Motor Trike had also done conversions in the past on Ventures. I'm guessing they don't anymore due to the low volume of doing conversions for them. Profits ya know. Anything else out there would be very limited or one offs. Larry
  22. Just stick around till at least Sunday. Been wanting to meet you for a while now and having problems making our paths cross. With all the Mrs. has endured what's another couple days? That dog house better be comfy for when you get home thou. Larry
  23. We'll have to get us another get together some time soon for the Michigan/Ontario riders. Maybe a ride to Hell and back would be in order. Larry
  24. "What did you find out about Joyce and who will ride with Deb in car?" Joyce will be going providing she's feeling better. Been under the weather a bit these last few days. Also the trip with the grand daughter was cancelled. Jay's wife, Jeanie will either ride with Deb or Joyce, choice being hers of course. Larry
  25. That's cause I know I'll be the only one with a trike there and won't have to worry about kickstands. This was for the two wheelers who haven't gotten as smart yet about such things. :stirthepot:
