  1. Usually if I know in advance I add what I call a safety bar to the adapter. It simply a 1 1/4x 1/8" flat stock bolted to the left side of the adapter. This then abutts up against the frame ensuring that the adapter is centered on the frame. I'll post a pic after I finish the one I'm building now. Larry
  2. If memories serves me right I think someone who road with @Dragon Rider had one. Could be wrong thou.
  3. Rob while not in the market myself for a trailer like you're building I do enjoy following your build. Same for the hitch you just built. As you know there's always differences in opinions and ways of getting a job done. Anyhow well done so far, Larry
  4. Only one of two laptops would log on thru the modem. Nothing thru Ethernet. No idea why the previous router wouldn't boot up, even with the install disk. Plugged in the replacement router and off & running.
  5. Update But 1st Thanks to all who offered suggestions & help. After several starts & stops and a whole lot of :smash2:and finally I have a good pc system again. The solution was to replace the router. Thanks again everyone, Larry
  6. Yea from pics it looks good. BUT that "T" Top cool will step you back 3k according to their website. Ouch that'll pinch the wallet. Hey Gary glad to hear your enjoying your slingshot. Looking forward to seeing you guys with it sometime. Larry
  7. Prayers offered up for all in the family. Wishing full recovery for Chris. Larry
  8. Bypassed the router. No connection for Ethernet shows on screen. Doing a diagnosis results in a driver problem. No results on auto fix. Where is the driver located? In router or desktop?
  9. Haven't had a chance to hard wire the desktop yet but wouldn't the router be ok since the two laptops are functioning normally?
  10. On the routers I did unplug all cables including the power cable while checking their connections. Even hit their reset buttons a couple times. All nice green lights as they should be. Same at back of desktop.
  11. Looking at my network adapters. Will disabling the nic card work as well as removing it? My pc shows 3 cards--- 802.11n wireless lan card, AARIS touchstone device, & Realties PCle GBE family controller. Clicking on them shows drivers up to date .
  12. Ok today logging in on my desktop all seemed normal but no internet connection when trying to open a web site. Keep in mind the desktop is showing connections at the task bar. The router shows connection with a No Internet above that. Opening my network settings I'm seeing the router connected for my wireless network. Scrolling down to Ethernet network shows no internet. I did a troubleshooting service and got 3 possible fixes to follow. Driver(s) for Ethernet adapter, local area connection adapter, & wireless network connection. I checked all of my pc, router connections. Both mine & Joyce's laptops work fine. Clues anyone? Larry
  13. Heads up for anyone planning on getting a landscape type trailer (or any other type trailer for that matter) for a Hannigan trike. I had a 6 x10 for the Tri-Wing trike but had to replace it with a 6 x 12 when I got the Hannigan trike. Larry
  14. Nice. Have a fun & safe trip.
  15. My desktop is down now too. However it's the monitor that's died. So off to Best Buy this evening for a replacement. Larry
  16. Sorry to hear Eileen's having trouble with aches & pain. Good suggestions from the guys here. Joyce & I did 210 comfortable miles today on the Slingshot. We were in the same situation on our bikes too before making the change to the Slingshot. Larry
  17. My desktop crashed yesterday. Nothing on startup. Hate dealing with this latest problem.
  18. Health issues & the resulting Doc appointments seem to be getting in our way this year. First I cancelled the Root Beer run cause I had my ear operation just 4 days prior and now today cancelled the Ontario Rally due to a Doc appointment Joyce can't miss or reschedule. Also like some others we're retired and have the time but not enough funds to go everywhere we'd like to. Especially this year due to replacing my furnace and ac unit last spring. A double edged sword for sure but such is life. Larry
  19. Best be careful Puc or we'll have to be bailing ya outa jail. Glad the had a sense of humor too. Tweek's sis is a whole nother amanial with that strong 2nd gear and Barnett clutch, hey? Bet them Hog drivers were schooled good thou as looks can be deceiving. Be safe brother. Larry
  20. I just knew I was going to miss another great Hot Dog Meet Puc. We were thisclose to going too. Mama just wasn't feeling up to tripping all day so stayed home and went into town for a car cruise. Lot of fun checking out peoples cars of all makes and models. And spending quite a bit of time talking to people about the Sling too. Next time buddy. Larry
  21. Bummer I'm just now seeing this post. Next time maybe. Larry
  22. Very sad story to read. Wishing you the best during the rebuilding of your life and the bikes. As noted they'll give you some purpose going forward. Enjoy your trip and know the members here will have your back if needed so don't be afraid to give a holler if in need. Larry
