I put the Caswell Plating epoxy stuff in my auxiliary tank when I built it as a rust preventative. Good stuff that is. Its been 2 seasons now with it in there and no problems. As you guys noted once you get rust inside its impossible to stop it unless you do a tank clean and sealing. Larry

quote: its just a dream. but hey it keeps me going. as tough as it seems right now for you you still have the right attitude as in your last sentence. Without dreams or hope life can get pretty dull in a hurry. Hang in there and if you get down too much we'll be here to lift you up. Larry

While that may work pretty good on occasion I'm with Monty on this one. Open flames around bike is a bad mix. I feel it's much better to use the proper tools, whether that is an electric soldering gun or a heat gun on shrink tubing. Larry

Had a decent group there while I was there tonight. 10-11 members stopped by Larry -
Nice trip Rick. Glad to hear you made it home safe too. Larry

I for one will accept this apology. Like you've said this topic is & can be a heated subject for which there is no 100% right answer. We all must make our decisions on gear for what we feel the risks are worth and what the area requires where we're riding. Larry I

Need a part number for vacuum plugs.

I always replace them about every other carb syn. By then they are showing begining signs of cracking. The heat will cause the smaller thickness caps to crack sooner then the factory ones. As cheap as they are I just replace them. Never have used a clamp either. Larry- 10 replies

TWENTY DOLLARS On their wedding night, the young bride Approached her new husband and asked For $20.00 for their first lovemaking Encounter. In his highly aroused state, Her husband readily agreed. This scenario was repeated each time they made Love, for more than 40 years, with him thinking that it was a Cute way for her to afford new clothes and other incidentals that She needed. Arriving home around noon one day, she was Surprised to find her husband in a very drunken state. During the next few minutes, he explained that His employer was going through a process of corporate Downsizing, and he had been let go. It was unlikely that, at the age of 59, he'd be able to find Another position that paid anywhere near what He'd been earning, and therefore, they were financially ruined. Calmly, his wife handed him a bank book which Showed more than forty years of steady deposits and interest totaling Nearly $1 million. Then she showed him certificates of deposits issued By the bank which were worth over $2 million, And informed him that they Were one of the largest depositors in the bank. She explained that for more than Three decades she had 'charged' him for sex, These holdings had multiplied and these were the Results of her savings and investments. Faced with evidence of cash and investments Worth over $3 million, her husband was so astounded he could Barely speak, but finally he found his voice and blurted out, 'If I'd had any idea what you were doing, I would have given you all my business!' That's when she shot him. You know, sometimes, men just don't know when To keep their mouths shut Women are like phones: They like to be held, talked to, and touched often. But push the wrong button and your ass is disconnected!

What Gary said. Run a tap into the hole 1st. If that doesn't fix it or the hole is sloppy then it's time to install a Helli coil. Larry -
Just an FYI for anyone shipping something from US to Canada
Carbon_One replied to SilvrT's topic in Watering Hole
Yep to what SilvrT says. I haven't actually shipped anything vie UPS to my Canadian customers but know well the pitfalls doing so. Thus all my shipping across the border is thru USPS. Still every once in a while they will have to pony up some money in either taxes or brokerage fees. Marking the packages as a gift helps as well. Whatever it takes to help the brothers across the border to save some funds. Items are almost always received within a week too, regardless of whether it's Ontario or one of the western provinces since they go by priority air. Larry -
Seriously I didn't see the post you refered to. I was just teasing a bit here. A little play of words if you will. Whatever it was I hope it has been taken care of to your satisfaction. No foul no harm Larry
