  1. Adding the Stebel horn, my bracket and wiring harness, crash bar braces. Custom Dynamics LED tail light cluster & under trunk LED light for more light in back. Change out the reflectors for LED lights. Accent lighting on the bike. Service the bikes rear wheel drive pins & drive shaft. Larry
  2. Can't advance if you don't catch the ball. Packers beat themselves today. Larry
  3. Jaybird does some great work at very reasonable prices. Larry
  4. That's a neat idea you have there Mike. Most likely you'll have to come up with a custom box but ya never know , you just might luck out. It would help to know the size of box that'll fit there so we could offer up suggestions. Larry
  5. 2nd that. I too someday will probably doing the same as my knees are complaining already. Larry
  6. We booked our room today at the Quality Inn as well. Laura says the phones been busy so far with VR members calling. Larry
  7. Well its good to have choices. Each have their + & - points but I'm going to side with Patti for pretty much the same reasons. We'll be booking our room tomorrow at Quality Inn. Larry
  8. I don't need one either as I replaced my ClearView with a F4 wide & tall last fall. I do want to tip my hat to Dave at F4 for offering someone a great opportunity to get a new windshield thou. Larry BTW the couple thousand miles I've put on with the F4 has been great and Dave offers excellent customer service if it's needed.
  9. Don't feel bad Lew. Besides reading your post here I've seen the same article both on tv and here on the internet news so I'm sure a LOT of folks may have read it before seeing your post. Just the same thanks to you for bringing it to our attenion here as someone may not of seen it otherwise. Larry
  10. Just curious but what's his intentions for the truck? Restoring it or perhaps swapping good parts off of it onto one he already owns? I too like to see the older cars & trucks rolling down the road. Larry
  11. Well spoken Goose. On my bike I experienced the popping occasionally on deceleration. My solution was to adjust the fuel mix screws, bump up the pilot jets 1 size, and do a carb sync. Problem solved. The bike runs great and requires much less choke on colder mornings then before the changes were made. Larry
  12. No snow on the ground here either. But I'm sure we'll be seeing some soon enough. Larry
  13. Ain't that the truth. I already spend enough with stuff from here without being enticed more. Larry
  14. Made the show but have to say I wasn't really inspired by much there this year. There were a lot more custom bikes on display this year that were cool looking. As for the bike manufacturers not much has changed either, except prices. Of the touring variety the Kawasaki Voyager & Yamaha Venture still gave the best bang for your money. With the Voyager having updated styling, abs brakes , electronic ignition, etc it was $2-3k cheaper depending on options then the outdated Venture at $20k. Bottom line is if Yamaha don't get their heads out of the sand they're going to be losing a lot of loyal customers. I did get to meet a few VR members there and one other biker friend. Randy & his wife Mary, who I walked with thru most of the show, Eddy, Big Mike & his son Willie, MiCarl , & friend Jeff who's looking to get a RSV in the near future. Larry
  15. I should be at the show about 10. Larry
  16. Looking great Mike. Nice work there. Larry
  17. Should pull straight whether empty or loaded. As the other posts suggest check wheel bearings and wheel alignment. Larry
  18. I think it'll be a roll of the dice on whether values hold or drop. News claims that the unemployed numbers are falling now to 8.5%. More folks are being called back to work now. Still I think a lot of people will still spend conservatively, while keeping an eye on the economy. just my .02 here Larry
  19. Yep retirement is a good thing. Sure am enjoying mine. I don't miss those early am alarm clocks going off either. I keep busy enough piddling in the garage or riding if weather is good. Getting to spend more time with the family too. Grandkids in high school with the oldest graduating this spring. Time flys so enjoying them as much as we can. Larry
  20. It's tough seeing your Dad in this condition but hopefully he'll make it back to normal in due time. Thoughts & prayers continued. Larry
  21. Umm not quite. LOL Cassette went in the trash can. This was just one of those projects I've put off for a while and finally gotten around to doing. I did this part time over a 2 day period but in reality it can be done in a day easily. I'll update with more pics the next time I have the front fairing off. Larry
  22. Didn't take any. Should of during construction but .................... I'll drop a couple tomorrow. Larry
  23. I'll offer up some of my products as I have in the past as well. Most likely I'll just bring them with me to the rally. Or maybe hand them off at Don's MD if that works for you. Larry
  24. Well I finally did it. I took out the cassette deck & gutted the box of the inards. Then cut out some sheet metal to cover the bottom and added a backstop that goes back about 3". Did that since you can only get your hand in just so far and wanted to be able to reach whatever ends up all the way in. Also covered the inside with some nice black vinyl material I had on hand. I thought of saving that cassette assembly & build a box but who would want one. It was just easier altering the exiting box and not having to fabricate something for the door. For sure now I'll get some use of that part of the bike. Larry
  25. So sorry to hear of Braydons setback Lew. I to will keep Brayden in thoughts and prayers. Larry
