  1. I can only imagine the amount of corrosion inside the bike as well. Even the frame. So in the end is it going to really be worth the trouble and expense of doing a restoration? Myself I'd just write it off as a loss and go from there. Larry
  2. Here's the type of relay to get as per Bob's suggestion -- http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/Dorman-Conduct-Tite-4-pin-30-Amps-12-Volts-universal-relay/_/N-2659?itemIdentifier=203873_0_0_ They can be found at any auto supply store. Larry
  3. Prayers for you and family. At least now you know she no longer is suffering from that dreaded disease. Larry
  4. How well do they light up the road? Are they a wide scattered pattern or are they like spot lights with some down the road reach? Larry
  5. Interesting? If propane is a cheaper and better coolant then why don't the manufactures use it instead of the others normally used? Larry
  6. That was one cool video. Larry
  7. Did you check the fuse? It's located under the left side cover below the seat. Larry
  8. Sorry to hear Brad. Hope things turn around sooner rather than later for you guys. Larry
  9. Other then the chrome on them they are the same size , etc as stock electric horns are. Larry
  10. Currently I have mounted a pair of the Stebel electric Magnim horns like those under the left lower in place of the stock horn and the other under the fairing next to the radio box. Prior to moving the one horn to the left lower I had both horns under the fairing, Here's a pic of where I had them when both were on top. Yep they're still almost as loud as the Stebel air horn outside the right side of the bike. Larry
  11. Hair or not it does say your head will be cooler. Larry
  12. Congrads to you Dan & the Warden. You're half way there now . LOL Boo my wife & I celebrated our 45th this last week too. Keep em coming guys Larry
  13. DJ thanks for pointing out the differences between the horns. You are right too. My bracket is made to work with the Stebel and Wolo air horns. They might work with other types but I have no idea if they will or not. Larry
  14. http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showcat.php?cat=500&ppuser=161 Here ya go for the link to my ads Larry
  15. Nice job. There's many of us here who have done that to the cassette deck area, myself included. I sometimes forget it's there since I never used or opened that door before. Larry
  16. Well Bob you sure have been have a fun time with this brake conversion. At least by the time you get around to the auxiliary tank conversion things will have settled down for you. At least that job should be a piece of cake compared to what you've been going thru with this project. Larry
  17. Replace the relay.
  18. I can see it now, a relay M&E with Jeffs coming outta the woodwork. Scary hey? Larry
  19. Normally you need to start at the battery and work you way down to the horn itself. Power from battery thru the fuse to the #30 post of the relay? Good ground at the 85 post of the relay? Does the relay have voltage at the 87 post when the horn button is applied? Will the horn sound if direct battery voltage is applied to the + post of the horn? If yes to all of thise there may be an open in the circuit of the bikes wiring. As noted check the horn button and the stock horn wire connections at the Steble to be sure you're getting a good contact /connection there. Larry
  20. 2nd that as well. Like others here I've added some personal touches too. Would love to see what you've done to your project. Larry
  21. Well that might be just the cure Jeff needs. Certainly would for me. No way in h**l would I pay that much for that 6 gang relay set-up. Larry
  22. Might be nice but they sure are proud of them. Larry
  23. Thanks Jeff. But really all of these requests for relay info was by your own doing ya know. Don't blame the messenger, but can I help it if its become addictive to you. Larry
  24. I always do mine in Feb now. Used to wait like some folks till the bitter end but hated all the frustation at the last minute, besides worrying if I got it all right. Now I just take my time working on it when I feel in the mood. Oh Don taxes are never pretty. It seems as the years go by we're getting the short end more & more all the time. Larry
  25. Sorry to hear of your Mother's situation. Never an easy decision to make regarless of who does it or whom its for. Peace to you and family. Larry
