So, bit the bullet & will join th Hannigan group!

Congrads on making a fine choice by going 3 wheeling. The cost of converting it will be a distant memory after you've had it for a while. Oh and once your Mrs. enjoys the ride she won't even complain about the cost. Enjoy the new wheels and report back soon. Larry -
Looks just like the one Joyce had up until last year. We sure enjoyed ours while we had it. Larry

Easy lanyard setup for slip on mounts
Carbon_One replied to Snaggletooth's topic in Poor Man Tips and Fixes
Just keep those ideas coming. Larry -
I would think any decent radiator shop should be able to fix it. Not sure if these radiators use a plastic/aluminum case or not. That type can be tricky to fix. Larry

Both nice bikes and a real toss up as to which color I like best. As to the blue lights it depends on the state you live in for the most part, maybe even region. As long as they don't flash you will probably OK. Larry

I'd say its time to replace that fuel filter thou it could be serviceable for a while since it seems you may have blown out whatever was plugging it up. But why chance it and be stranded somewhere unexpectedly? Larry

Yep used them in the past myself and will be using one again tomorrow. I have to insert 3 of them in the rear brake pedal mount since the threads in the aluminum bracket are stripped/partialy stripped. I don't trust the remaining threads by using a longer bolt so going to do a proper fix. Larry

Maybe but how long would it last IF it even got that low to begin with. Can't see the oil companies going along for that to happen. Larry

Congrads to you for your years of service. Hope you really enjoy your new found freedom. Larry

Allstate has really been pushing their safety programs in the last couple years. Good for them I say. One reason I have them for my bike insurance plus the discount I get for having my other vechicals and house insured with them. They also have good stuff to read on their Face Book page and a monthly news letter sent out vie e-mail. Anyhow I feel the're doing a pretty good job getting the word out on safety first. Larry

Good that life is taking a turn for the better for you Old Goat. Like others have said take your time checking out all the various models, but don't disregard other brands either. Prior to getting my RSV I owned a 01 Suzuki Volusia. Great bikes and very light weight with a shaft drive and water cooled engine. The early bikes up to, I think, 04 were carbureted and from 04 or 05 had fuel injection. They are a very affordable bike as well. Larry

Just under 4 millon bucks for everything. Even more amazing was the fact the bikes brought in more money than the cars did. Larry

Unfortunate that the rider got hit like he did but in his defense I doubt even if he did look right he would of had time to react due to the cars in the turn lane blocking his view. As sever as his injuries were I'm thinking it could of been worse if he hadn't been wearing a helmet. Looked like the light had just changed cause the cars on the right were stopping but the woman wasn't paying attention for whatever reason and nailed that guy. Hope the law throws the book at her. Well the up side of all the rain you folks are getting is that the water reservoirs are refilling. It wasn't that long ago when some lakes were as much as 15-20 feet below normal. Have they come back up to anywhere near normal again? I remember at the same time farmers were hauling hay down from the northern states for their livestock. Larry

Dooder with all you been thru these last few months life surely has to make a turn for the better for you guys. Praying you'll have a trouble free time now. Larry

I have one of the more expensive ones from Sears but also have a couple of the cheap Harbor Freight meters like these - http://www.harborfreight.com/7-function-digital-multimeter-69096.html One I keep in the tool kit on the bike and the other in the garage tool box. Most times it seems I grab the HF one as often as not to check stuff. Another one I'll check out soon is the 2nd one. http://www.harborfreight.com/lcd-automotive-multimeter-with-tachometer-kit-95670.html Larry http://www.harborfreight.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/i/m/image_20360.jpg http://www.harborfreight.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/i/m/image_13487.jpg

Dulop 404
Carbon_One replied to hunter 1500's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
My bike came with the 404's. Better tire than the Bridgstones that some have came with, thou the Avons seem to be the tire of choice for replacements -
