I can understand your absence Kent but sure am glad to see your back too. I guess we all have to be like a duck at times and let the water run off our backs and not take things too seriously. Hopefully folks will think a bit more before hitting the send button. Larry

Yep J-Bird does excellent work and very reasonable to boot. Love what he did on your scoot too. Larry

Clutch bleeding problem? HELP!
Carbon_One replied to cc4600's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I installed speed bleeders all around on my bike. They make the job of bleeding the clutch and brakes so much easier. Pumping the lever with it cracked open till all bubbles are gone. You just have to make sure you keep fresh fluid in the resvoir so you don't draw in new air. Larry -
So tragic. Prayers for everyone and that no other deaths are reported. What is hard to understand is you have a full line of bikes with lights on (I'm fairly certain they would be anyhow) yet the car drivers still fail to see the bikes. Larry

I have a Capitol One card and was going to close it out in the near future. During the last week or so I get announcements from them that they've bought out the Best Buy and a Union Plus Master Cards I have. It seems now that with all their sudden wealth they have money to spend. So far they'll continue to have the card holders using & paying the same cards as in the past but who knows what the future holds there. You can't win. Larry

aux. power coming on with key off
Carbon_One replied to evans's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
That's deffineately a new one to me (the problem that is). It's almost as if you had a mercuray switch installed to power it up. Must be a switch or loose connection somewhere. Or maybe the level/kill switch is messing up? Larry -
Same place Joe. Just a name change. Larry

Last week while at B2Dad's M & E I lost a concho off one of my mud flaps so had to look for a replacement. Couldn't find anything matching the originals so ordered some online. I went from a plain concho to a star with engraved ring and also changed the black fringe to red, then found some red vinyl material as a backing for some nice contrast. Minimum order was a 10 pack & since I needed 6 to have a full set of matching that worked out OK. Once I got the replacements done and having a few extra I decided to get creative with the air cleaner. Larry

This is a good post to bookmark. I've been going to B2Dad's place vie I-75 thru Cincy and west on I-71 for the last couple years and truth be told I just dread driving thru from Dayton to I-71. Traffic is just plain horrible. Time of day or day doesn't seem to make much of a difference either. And I thought driving thru Detroit was bad. No comparison. I'm deffineately going to use one of these alternate routes next time even if it does add extra mileage getting around that area. Larry

Good to hear you had an awesome weekend. You'll soon be finding more excuses to take trips or just get out and ride. Enjoy the ride on 3 now. Larry

Same thing that was being posted for B2Dad's M&E. Weather was prefect all weekend till Monday evening Larry

Considering its condition and size/shape I would simply tag it and ship it as is. Of course that may depend on the shipper used but I'm fairly certain UPS would accecpt it that way. No idea what the Postal service would say thou. Larry

I'd say that if the resell market is killing them then their retail pricing is out of whack. Serioulsly these bike trailers really shouldn't be costing 2k let alone 4k or more. Larry

Well his profile does show a 2nd gen so once again assuming ..... Larry

This M&E is one for the record books for sure. Don & Patti- What can we say about such great hosts who open up their home and hearts to all of us from VR? You guys are great. :clap2:The M&E's huge success is a tribute to your open heart. And of course those family and friends who spent time doing the cooking, food preparations and all that go hand in hand making events like this the success it is. Certainly I'm sure many more will return next year and bring their friends to make next year even better. Larry
