  1. Other than knowing Russell thru the site here, I did met him a couple of times at rallies. My memory is foggy on which ones. Cody International I think was one. Great guy for sure. He'll be missed by many of us here. RIP Black Owl. Larry
  2. Just booked our room. Had to cancel last years attendance due to a conflicting doc appointment so really looking forward to being there this year. Larry
  3. First off Annie I offer my condolences & prayers for your lost family members and of course to you and Al as well. I know well your grief as we have gone thru the same over the years, the latest our sister in law last fall. We don't know the Lords plans for any of us but we can be sure he'll receive us at the end of our days on this earth. Whether we cross paths or not in your travels this year we wish you and Al a safe and enjoyable trip. Looking forward to your travel reports & pics. God Bless, Larry & Joyce
  4. Fixed it for you, Carl
  5. Good to hear you'll soon be on the road. Sorry you won't make the Root Beer Run or International. Have fun and be safe. Larry
  6. New info regarding the BRP https://www.facebook.com/groups/554011954652294/permalink/1246773298709486/ URGENT CALL TO ACTION--The National Park Service Plans to resurface 150 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway with "chip seal" asphalt Following is the text of an email that was sent to VP Mike Pence, Sens. Burr & Tillis It refers to a plan to chip seal 150 miles of the Blue Ridge Pkwy. in NC. This would be an absolutely terrible plan for motorcyclists and the tourism industry in NC. I could not email the US House members, they won't allow emails if you do not live in their districts. The districts affected are Dist. 5, 10 and 11. Dist. 5 is Virginia Foxx, Dist. 10 is Patrick McHenry, Dist. 11 is Mark Meadows. You can get to their info at: Members of the U.S. Congress Profiles of U.S. Representatives and Senators that include their legislative activity. http://www.congress.gov
  7. Joyce & I are now booked at the Hickory Hill Motel. We also booked for the Root Beer Run the weekend before so we'll run up after we attend that. Going to be a great week. 🙂 Larry
  8. Nice to hear Buddy. Looking forward to seeing you & Peggy again. Larry
  9. Toady we received a call from someone representing (supposeably) Citigo bank saying we were arrears on a Lowes credit account. I knew for fact my Lowes card had a zero balance owed with the card last used Feb 2016. They wanted us to pay $77 using our bank card. NOPE NO Way we're giving out that info over the phone. After hanging up we called Lowes to verify the accounts info. They informed us we didn't owe them a dime and also said Citigo isn't used for their billings. Lowes thanked us and are going to follow up with their anti -theft units. They, the scammers, were trying to get our bank info to skim off the funds there. Moral of the story here is NEVER give out your info over the phone , especially if they're the ones who called you. Can't ever be safe enough from these dudes. Larry
  10. RIP Rick. Prayers offered for family and friends.
  11. WOW Amazing
  12. Substitute bike for tent poles. You'll get the pic.
  13. Sorry to hear of this Dan. Of course prayers up for everyone especially your niece. Glad the law got the shooters first and they serve life or more in the big house. Been a rough couple years for y'all so hopefully the future looks better. Larry
  14. Prayers & Condolences to Rick and family. Larry
  15. I've owned two RSV trikes, one was a Hannigan & the other was a Tri-Wing conversion. The Hannigan was the nicer of the two both in comfort & features but at a higher cost. Like the difference between say a Cadillac and a Chevrolet. As stated the auxiliary fuel tank & reverse are nice add-ons to have on the Hannigan. I had both on mine. I built & offer a 5 gallon system for after market Hannigan trikes for those don't have the factory system. Any questions just ask here or pm me. I'll be happy to offer insight or info on three wheeling Larry .
  16. Russell sorry to hear about your medical issues and praying that the Doc's can fix ya up along with our Lords blessing. Hopefully we'll see you at PIP or maybe even the next International rally. Peace for ya Owl. Larry
  17. Congratulations grandpa Puc & grandma Tipp. Enjoy spoiling that little guy. 😘 Your officially an old fart now Puck. 😆 Now I've been a old fart for a few years but last December my granddaughter gave us our 1st great grandchild. Woo there, if that didn't give me a wakeup on feeling way over the hill. 👴 Larry
  18. Prayers up. Hope Doce's can find a reason why grandson is having this recurring problem.
  19. I like having a rally shirt but unless we have someone who's willing to take on the job then Pucs idea sounds good too. Larry
  20. Thanks Stott & Dan. A few other members gave their b-day wishes over on F B as well. All are/were appreciated too. Feeling very blessed by those who took time to think of me today. Larry
  21. Don take care of your family first. We'll manage here just fine. Continued prayers for your brother in law & family. Larry
  22. Might of had better luck towing with a steady pull from the opposite side of the car. Larry
  23. You're in good hands Punster. Wishing & praying for the best of outcome. Larry
  24. Wishing all fellow Venture Rider members a safe & happy new year. Hope to see a bunch of y'all this coming riding season. Larry
  25. You need the gauge sets with adjustable valves to get fluctuations steady. Jay / Ragtop did several carb syncs at Don's MD last year using my gauges. Thought your bike was one of them? For what its worth IMO gauges are still better than sticking sticks. Larry
