Good to hear you and Becky had a safe trip Bob. Welcome home Larry -
You could run both switches off the same relay depending on the load of both circuts. Most auto relays will handle 30 amps. In your drawing one thing I would chance is rather then taking power for the switch from the battery (green line) I would use a key on circuit so those lights can't be turned on until the key is on. That will prevent a dead battery if someone was to toggle your switches. Why not just run both front and rear running lights off the same swtch . Those bulbs don't pull that much in amps? Use the 2nd switch and a 2nd relay to turn on/off the low beam headlight circut. Larry

Good to hear you, wife, & daughter are doing well again. I know 1st hand about that panic mode feeling after being out of work a year asnd half like you all have been. Not a comfortable feeling at all & can be quite depressing at times. Anyhow good luck for all of your future employment. Larry

Gonna be a cool project Gary and if anyone besides National Cycle can do it it'll be you. You really should consider getting "Tweety" into one of the mags as it's a deserving build in its own right too ya know. Larry

Jay does may a good point there. Or maybe another NY member would be willing to give up their relay till you get back. I'd even loan mine if you could get here. Larry -

Looks like there already is a collar air bag for MC's Thou not advertised as such yet - Quote from the web page: "The gas inflator that inflates the airbag is placed in a holder in the collar on the bicyclist's back. Hövding's gas inflator is a cold gas inflator that uses helium and it's one of the smallest gas inflators on the market. A similar inflator is used in a motorcycle helmet with airbag system"

All what the others have said is true. While you will give up some performance you won't be left in the cold either. Keep in mind that the extra weight of a trike will be compensated with lower gearing in the rear axle. Hannigain uses a 3:73 gear ratio ( same as the V-max differential) that'll move the tachometer up about 500 rpm's at 70 mph. You will keep up when running twisties with your 2 wheeled friends too. In fact most times you'll be able to run thru curves at 5-15 mph over the suggested yellow speed signs. Larry

I would call that safety chrome. As Dragon rider says ya can't have enough light front or back. And we both know Don's got plenty of lights on the sides too. Larry

parking brake for 2nd gen
Carbon_One replied to 54chevybelair's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I use both methods when parking my trike. Especially if there's any sort of slope. Larry -
I have Allstate as well and my trailer is covered. I'll have to double check to see if its covered if unattached to the bike. But no extra fees for coverage while hooked up. Considered an accessory. Larry

2 gauge carb syncronization
Carbon_One replied to djh3's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Should work as Mike says. You'll just have to play with hoses back and forth to get it all done. Larry -
Don't look too stable to me, even with those dual wheels. And passenger is sure to get a lot of road derbis throwns their way. Good for the novelty thou. Larry

So John when are we going to get together and compare our 1st gen rides? Yours is deffinately loaded with more bling. Larry

Don't remember his name either but remember seeing his rig at Don's MD a couple - 3 years ago. Larry
