Thanks for the order Thom. I'll send it out tomorrow. You'll be happy to be getting Steve K's wiring harnesses too. Itll sure make hooking up extra lighting or trailer connections a whole lot easier. I love that it acctually hooks up into the factory plugs. Larry

RSV fork spring, stock or aftermarket picture
Carbon_One replied to dingy's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Looks like stock springs to me. Have a pair looks just like those taken out of my 05. I just checked them and they too measured 22 1/2" long. Larry- 4 replies

Replacing brake lines per maintance schedule recomendations.
Carbon_One replied to dingy's topic in Watering Hole
I replaced all of my hyd lines with SS and it only cost under $222 including shipping from http://www.pashnit.com/product/galfer/brake_lines.html#yamaha. That included the clutch line, rear brake, & complete front lines for a 2nd gen. Also at that cost I had to add $10 for an extra 2" for the front brake resevoir to Tee & clutch line due to adding Flanders bars. So a standard line change would come out to a couple "C" notes Larry -

You're so right there. I just don't see how they ( management & players) can expect the fan base to grow by not getting this stuff resolved. Are they so blind they think it'll be back to normal once a settlement is made. Like you say it may well take a while to fill those seats again, especially in the southern markets. Larry

I too wish a Merry Christmas all of our VR members . If I've met you or whether we meet for the 1st time I wish all a safe and happy Cristmas. Larry

So true Karl and like many hockey fans I sorely miss the sport but am enjoying collage and other levels of the sport, including my grand son playing with the under 16 age Midget A I think they're at. If this keeps up much longer it may well be the knife to the heart for the fans, especialy if costs rise beyound the average famlies budget. Larry

Merry Christmas to you Don and family. Without this site I wouldn't have made the many friends I have today so I feel blessed that you do continue this website. Keep up the great work. Thanks, Larry

It is with a saddened heart I 'm passing along the following news. Jay/ ragtop69gs's Father had passed away yesterday. I know what he's dealing with due to the timing of his Dad's passing as my Father had passed away several years ago between Christmas and New Years day as well. Prayers going out for Jay, Jeanie, family , and friends during these trying times. Jay will be providing further news and info after tomorrows meeting with the funeral director. Thanks, Larry & Joyce

Hannigan Steer-Lite, EZ-Steer, Rake Kit
Carbon_One replied to First_N_Last's topic in Trike & Sidecar Talk
Oops Looks like I didn't read the question good enough. I'm sure you'll get the right info anyhow. Larry -
Well I know I probably have a couple pics of ya but I'm sure others have some better ones. I'll dig thru what I have just the same. You know just going thru all of my pics looking for one of you might take a while cause I'll be reminiscing all the good times I've had attending the various functions with the VR folks. Larry

Hannigan Steer-Lite, EZ-Steer, Rake Kit
Carbon_One replied to First_N_Last's topic in Trike & Sidecar Talk
I think Bongobob is on track. I know Tri-Wing recomended 25ft lbs on the steeering head bearings. I don't know what Hannigan recomends with their set up but I'll be asking them when I get my trike done by them. Anyhow with my Tri-Wing set at 25ft lbs steering was good with very little wandering at low speeds. Larry
