  1. Thanks for that info. I'm going to replace the OEM windshield soon with either the Baggershield or 4F shield. Had the 4F shield on my 05 and really liked it a lot. Just looking at all of my options here is all. Larry
  2. Sometime Saturday Richard. I'll give a call when I have a better idea of time. Larry
  3. Thanks Bob. I'll let you know.
  4. My adapters won't work with any aftermarket center stands but I've been told that they can be easily removed and then use my adapter. Preform the needed work, then reattach the centerstand. Alao I've made several improvements to the adapters since that link Motorcycle Mike has posted. http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=3729&title=carbon-one-freestanding-lift-adapter&cat=24 Even thos pics in the ad don't show the upgrades. Larry
  5. My question is how well protected is the passenger? Will a tall adjustable model help the passenger any at all? Larry
  6. Ya the quarter car wash did a decent job of cleaning car and bike. You're probably right about us going home too. :-( Larry
  7. Same from here too. Hope things look up sooner rather than later for you pmelah
  8. Too bad you didn't see em clean Wrench. They look 100% better when not covered in salt spray and road grime. Mike I'll send some better pics with the cut fins on my 09 after its done from Hannigan. Larry
  9. Don't know what grips you intend to put on but I put a set of these on my 09 and love em. -- http://www.ebay.com/itm/AVON-Metric-Cruiser-Air-Cushion-Chrome-Grips-for-1-Bars-with-Throttle-Assist-/130840888260?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e76b983c4&vxp=mtr I had a set of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/AVON-HAND-GRIPS-CHROME-AIR-CUSHION-HANDGRIPS-FOR-METRIC-MOTORCYCLE-HAND-GRIPS-/160958963373?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2579e6dead&vxp=mtr without the throttle boss but like the previous ones better. I had run Kurykyan grips for years too but prefer the Avon's Just my , Larry
  10. I'm another Turbo Taxer. Been using their programs since being retired. Like Ragtop I verified with an accountant a couple times when first using it. As he says next to nothing in different results and the money saved is in my pocket. Good luck Karl on resolving your problem. Larry
  11. Bad link?
  12. Glad to see you're about done there and can finally enjoy riding the trike. Looks great cleaned up. Larry
  13. That's a very very good example of why I stay on land. No thanks. Larry
  14. Would love to BUT we're leaving outta town mid afternoon after the grand daughters Adrian collage hockey game. So going to miss going this year. Have fun. Larry
  15. Probably was eating em outta house and home. Later, Larry
  16. Good luck tomorrow Carlos. Drop me a message or call after you get home. Heal well my friend.
  17. Great idea making a pull out tray. When I did the storage box mod on my 05 I realized I couldn't retrieve items in the back so built an internal wall. I'll do this mod again on my 09 later and most likely use your tray idea. Larry
  18. My guess is that the factory uses that bracket to hold the frame during production. Larry
  19. Wrench & Twowheelsforme it does seem a lifetime ago don't it? Had my 01 Vol until about 08 or 09 and finally sold it due to not riding it. I still have some folks I see from the Vol sites but rarely post much over there any more. Checking in once in a while is all, looking to see what's happening. BTW: as far as wetter additatives and the like I prefer to let the engine reach operating temps controled by the thermostat. But IF I had a bike or engine running at high temps a lot I would add in some like Condor did his bike. Larry
  20. I've seen a few of them and even test drove one once. They're definitely a different animal thou still classed as a trike due to being a 3 wheeler. Don't know about the Fusion engine ( new ones could be) cause the older ones used a Ford Ranger engine trans combo. But since Rangers have gone out of production Motor Trike (parent company) have switched to another Ford 4 cylinder engine. Price of them isn't really that out of line either cause buying a new Gold Wing and having it converted is right up there in cost as well. Same can be said with most other new bike /trike packages. If they had of had more passenger room I might of bought one at one time. I do like most of the features and looks of them. Larry
  21. Did it snow last night?
  22. Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone. Having been in the wreck last Sept gives one time to realize just how short life can be. So I'm most thankful to having seen another B-day and hope there's a lot more coming too. Wishing all of my friends and members here a safe year of riding this summer. Larry
  23. Getting her back together sure will put a smile on your face. Especially when you're finally able to hit the road. Larry
  24. I had a VW back in the early 70's. The setup you're describing sounds to me like there's more rake needed to create more trail which will civilize head shake thou as noted there's always be some at certain speeds. Normally low speed. If the front wheel is of the spoked type make sure the spokes are tight and the wheel runs true as that can create problems too. Another soure for info is with the Brothers of the Third Wheel. Here's a link -- http://btw-trikers.org/uploads/home.php These guys thrive on home builts and will help you. Larry
