Dick has a point there to some extent. Being retired now my taxes aren't as high as they used to be so I pay in less but generally get back less as well. I try to have just enough deducted so I don't have to pay yet keeping the refund low. For a few years I didn't even have to pay State taxes or even have them deducted from my income. That changed last year but lucky me I still got all I paid in back due to being under the basic income deduction line. Next year who knows. Oh yea filed my taxes last week. State cleared and now waiting for the Feds. Taxes the only thing besides death you can be assured of. Larry

On 2nd gens they're used to attach the lower fairings on. No idea where they would be used on a 1st gen bike. Larry

Verdict from the dealer is both rear coils dead. Trying to get Yamaha to replace them under warranty but so far they're refusing to do so because they want a reason for why both would go out at once. The shop hasn't an explanation as to why both would go bad at once so anyone here have any ideas? Looking back thru past posts on this subject it does appear most failures have been with cylinder #3 - right rear. If we can't find a cause then the repair bill is going to be my problem. Larry

Got on my pc this morning and was checking my mail. Saw the renewal request for VR so first priority of business was renewing my membership here. Having been involved in accidents in the past myself I always hate to hear of fellow riders going down. Only good thing in mine was they were never as bad as some have had to deal with. Do like the guys say and take your time healing. Larry

Yep that'll be a much cheaper alternative. The flip top caps I order are stainless steel and a bit pricey but IMO well worth the cost. A quality trike deserves a quality cap. Just my humble opinion here. Larry

Kid my tank system will work with any of the Hannigan conversions and their optional equipment as the other guys are saying. I did have to cut off a small bracket on the left side of the frame on my bike thou. It was for mounting the fuel pump they use. I don't think all of the conversions have that bracket either. I know Ragtops didn't and as far as I know no one else has mentioned it having to be cut off . So I'm guessing only the newer conversions will have that bracket or maybe only those that requested an aux tank in their build sheet. Larry

Anyone have a pic or know how the cap is attached on the Hannigan aux tank? If it's a normal sized 1 1/2" or 2" hose coupling the cap to the tank then its an easy swap for a flip top style cap Larry

That info will determine which way to go in looking for an alternative cap. Pics would be helpful too. Research marine fill caps as well. Maybe you'll find a replaceable cap to your liking that way. Sorry Jay, nope its for the coils to mount to The coils have a separate bracket that then bolts to the bracket Gary shows. Best keep it there Gary Larry
