  1. Wishing I could but just have to much going on now and need to save for the International trip coming up this next month. Larry
  2. Sent Gary some funds. Larry
  3. Being a grandparent with grand kids playing hockey too I can relate to Joe's enthusiasm as well. I can remember several times the granddaughters team got as far as 2nd place in the Michigan State finals. That 1st place trophy just seemed a bit out of reach but regardless we all were very proud of them getting as far as they did. She's playing college level hockey now so we'll see how that goes. The 16 year old boys are doing ok on their level so far. Summer break for them all now. Wishing the boys the best of luck and have a great game Joe. Larry
  4. Update on the one I got from Ruffy. Like Mike G it pushed me forward some too but also raises you up a bit as well. Being on a trike that wasn't a problem. My co-pilot didn't care for her portion of the seat and we all know if Momma ain't happy guess what?. She'd gotten to used to that soft pillow top seat. LOL . Anyhow the one I bought from Ruffy is on its way to Chuck/Slowroll as he was next in line from Ruffy's ad. Hope you guys fair better. They are nicely built seats too. Larry
  5. I not only moved back the trunk on my Hannigan trike but also up a bit in order to clear the back lip of the body. I don't have pics of what I did but if I remember correctly I raised the entire trunk up a 1/2" to 3/4" using some steel spacers I bought at my local True Value hardware store. I also moved back the trunk about 3'4 ". I made extensions with flat stock and nuts welded to the bottom to secure the trunk to. Need more info send a e-mail to me so I can either make a more detailed drawing or maybe send pics to you. Larry
  6. Relocating that main fuse is even more important if one has a Hannigan trike. The trikes body hangs over the plastic cover enough that its nearly impossible to get to and take off to access that fuse. I'll be relocating that fuse the next time I'm in there. Larry
  7. Like everyone else who have met Don it was my pleasure to share time with him at a couple of meets. Once you met him he was your friend for life. Another great loss in our VR family is about all I can say now. Don will be missed. Prayers for him , family, & friends. Larry
  8. Yea I saw that on the pipes too but the bike is within their budget and could be changed later back to stock probably. Tri-Wing kit on it as you say, same as I had on the 05 I had till last fall when it got "T" boned & totaled. Larry
  9. Have him check out this one Jay -- http://www.cyclecrunch.com/ForSale/Yamaha/Royal_Star_Venture/374668?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=Feed&utm_campaign=bike374668 Might well be worth the trip Larry
  10. Let us know how you like that seat after you've ridden on it a bit Larry
  11. Happy Anniversary to both of you. Wishing many more too. Larry
  12. It's for Jeanie's trike. Larry
  13. Don't forget your poles if you come.:rotf::rotf: Hope to see ya there Larry
  14. You guys will enjoy Chocolate Town. My sister lives about 3 miles from there. We go there every time we visit. And always bring back too much goodies. LOL Fresh stuff it is too. Larry
  15. If there's any consolation here it is the fact that they canned you before your trip rather than when you returned to find out you're out of a job. Larry
  16. As all have said do get it checked as soon as possible. Keeping you in thoughts and prayers Scott. Larry
  17. Randy. Hope it works out for you. Larry
  18. I'm just west of Detroit/Windsor near Metro-Airport. Give a date and time when you think you'll be in the area and I'll try to hook up with you guys. Either a short M&E or maybe even ride with you for a ways. Larry
  19. Oh he'll like it. A lot in fact. LOL. Good job Jeff. Looking forward to your write up. Larry
  20. Cool Craigr. You won't be disappointed with your plans. We'll be in the area the weekend of the 10 to 13th. Meeting up with the B2 folks then riding with them & the Aussies on to the Vogel rally. If you're having the trike done during this time period we'll meet you. Or maybe after returning from the Vogel rally on the 18th. Larry
  21. I'll go along with Freebirds statement.
  22. "Seriously I think Yamaha will take the Stratoliner Deluxe, add a few morsals and call it a touring bike." If they do that they'll be messing up big time for sure. I do think they'd be on the right track if they offered an improved V-4 configuration even if it was a fixed fairing bike like the 1st gens. Either way it'd have to be a big improvement over my 09 before I'd swap bikes. Who knows for sure till Yamaha brings out their line up in the fall. Larry
  23. Yep that's what I do when attaching these racks along with the painters tape. Larry
  24. Snooze you lose guys. :rotf:Cut it close with Chuck thou. Only beat him by 2 minutes. Whew. Larry
