  5. Something sure isn't right there. Bad seal? Roughness somewhere causing wear? With a new seal and yoke it should last a long time. Time to revisit the installation process with another new seal. Larry
  6. Wow that just might be a record for total mileage. Hope the owner enjoys anther 35 k + to top it out over 400k miles & still keep going. Larry

  8. My experiences thus far with the reverse matches Jeff's report above. After giving some thought to eliminating the resistor pack like Jeff did I decided to do a temporary bypass of the system to see for myself if I liked it or not. Folks I think its a keeper. The bike will move a lot more smartly now than it ever did before with the resistors engaged so you do need to pay attention when hitting the reverse switch. I find using just 1 or 2 short bursts gets the job done quite well. The trikes roll so easily it really doesn't take much anyhow once moving unless you're backing up on an incline. I'm only using the original battery and haven't had any problems with battery life but will keep an eye on the volt meter. I don't anticipate any problems in this matter either thou. Having the running boards on my trike does make it much more awkward pushing back the bike while mounted, or even having to push it out of a spot before mounting it,so having the reverse is a welcome feature. For me having the reverse is right up there with having an auxiliary gas tank on these trikes. Larry
  9. What the guys have said so far it true. I've owned both, a Tri-Wing 05 RSV converted by myself and currently own a 09 w/Hannigan converted at the factory. After it's all said and done the Hannigan will cost 2 to 6k over the cost of a Tri-Wing depending on options with either company. I love the ride of the Hannigan as does the wife. A solid axle will jar you more on rough roads. I believe handling is better for the Hannigan as well as the lower, wider & longer wheel base hugs the roads better in twisties. I did put over 35,000 miles on the Tri-Wing up until last fall when I got "T"boned by a cage and enjoyed ever mile I had it. I've got a whole bunch of pics of both conversions with the bodies off I can send to your e-mail if desired. Larry BTW: I'm a retired mechanic as well and did build the Tri-Wing doing it all but paint. for the same reason you mention.

  24. No shame there Joe. The boys gave their all so you can't ask for much more then that. Heck who knows if they were to replay the same team the outlook could be reversed. My grand daughter lost two years ago to an Ann Arbor team for the state finals getting silver but the following week beat them in a district championship. The teams are so close at time results could go either way. Congrads to the boys getting as far as they did just the same. Larry
  25. Somebody had a brain fart?
