  1. These "P" clamps work well on the crash bars. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/3/13/123/37203/ITEM/Kuryakyn-P-Clamp-Mount.aspx?WT.ac=SLIsearch Larry
  2. You'll like them for sure. Larry
  3. Looking forward to seeing your project finished. Yep smart decision on hiring the concrete work. Larry
  4. That's a possibility. http://gapmiatas.com/ This could be interesting providing it's not during the International Rally. Have to check dates. Larry
  5. PM sent
  6. We'll be in attendance as well. Larry
  7. As far as I know currently only Tri-Wing is offering trike kits for the 1st gen bikes. http://www.triwing.com/ Hope this helps. Larry
  8. Back when I was in my late teens I flew control line planes . I've got a finger tip that was reduced to hamburger cause I got careless trying to adjust the needle valve. Apparently instead of going back and up I swung the finger forward putting into the prop. Busted the plastic prop and killed the motor but not until it chewed me good. Another one of those life lessons learned you could say. Larry
  9. Be careful playing with your toys guys http://www.mrconservative.com/2013/09/23966-boy-dies-when-toy-helicopter-cut-off-the-top-of-his-head/ Larry
  10. Or drawing air in during hot weather. If you get them mounted up post some pics of the final fitting. Larry
  11. "A dumb question, you still liking the trike?? " Yep still loving riding the trike. It's not going anywhere but with me on it. The car might cut into some of my riding time but then that's no different than say someone who also has a boat. For sure I can go out in the car on those days the weather isn't co-operating for bike riding. Wrench I hear you on getting in and out of that car. The first couple times I wondered if I made the right decision and I thought the previous Mustang we had was low. Hahahaha Actually getting in wasn't much of a problem ( just plopping in did the trick) it was the getting out that was tough. Technic gets it done. Larry
  12. If I'm a good boy I might get lucky. Initially we were just going to test drive and shop around but another couple came up while we were talking deals with the salesman wanting it. We had dibs since we got there first. This car was the only one in red with an auto trans within 100 miles of us so if we wanted it we pretty much needed to seal the deal. Joyce preferred red so the rest was history. Comparing it to the 07 Mustang we had it runs as good but has less room being that it seats only 2. That was fine with us too. Larry
  13. No need for more power. That 4 banger is rated for about 130-140 mph. No way the trike can keep up. Larry
  14. After B2Dad /B2Mom posted about wanting a 2 seat sports car Joyce and I debated on whether to get her one of the Thoroughbred Motorsports Stallion trikes or a 2 seat sports car. Not being able to see a Stallion up close enough and test drive one to see if fitment was good for her we started looking at cars. The end result was getting the following Mazda Miata MX-5. It's a 2011 retractable hard top model. Some folks here may remember Joyce having a red 07 Mustang for a few years a couple years back. She drove it to the Arkansas VR International and to on of Don's MD weekends. Jaybird did some pin stripping on it for us then. Other folks may remember DenDen and Vicki buying one of these cars after giving up the bikes. Seeing his current 02 Miata car helped in the decision making too. Don't worry none as I have no intentions of giving up my trike anytime soon. Pics of the his and her rides as follows Larry
  15. With that much height I would make sure to save a place for a car lift, either 2 or 4 post type. Congrads on a fine looking shop too. Larry
  16. Condolences to you and your family Heather. I like many here not only have purchased one of his grills but spent some time chatting with him during a Vogel rally. He was a good man for sure and taken from us way too soon but God has his plans and we don't always know why or when he will call us home. Do remember all the good times you shared with your Dad. God bless him and family during these trying times. Peace to all, Larry
  17. I'd say that's what one normally finds to be the case. Goose gave an excellent explanation. Larry
  18. Carl I sent you a PM. I'll be willing to lend a hand if possible. I'll keep an eye on this thread to see which way you end up going. Larry
  19. Great idea Craig but I think he can only afford 1 toy at a time. Personally I think Don is doing this now and when Yamaha comes out with their new touring Venture replacement he'll pounce on it , then put it into a 3 wheeler. Gets his late life crisis over with now then later. Here's a solution for Don wanting a 2 seater sports car plus still being on 3 wheels ---- http://www.motortrike.com/trikeThoroughbredStallion.aspx Larry
  20. Thoughts and prayers for everyone . Larrys
  21. As the guys here say it does seem a bit heavy so the only way I can see towing it safely would be if you were towing with a trike. Those having better brakes and with the wide rear less danger of pushing the bike out from under you. Still you'll be knowing you've hung some weight behind you. Larry
  22. Don't feel bad I am in the same boat after attending both the International rally and Vogel. It is what it is thou and no regrets. Maybe next year I'll attend the Trike Talk rally. That looks like a fun time, i'll have to check out that web site. Yep a pretty good all around site for us 3 wheelers. There's a ton of info for just about any make and model you can think of. Larry
  23. Did you try removing the bolts on the side of the head light adjusting knob? two sizes there. Allen head 4 and 5 MM I believe. Larry
