Don't know the cost but paint departments sell a traction type paint used on garage floors or entrance steps for homes. I have used some on my porch and entrance steps and has served very well for a number of years now. Larry

I'll 2nd that. Welcome to the 3rd wheelers here. Larry

Ya where are they? Can't be out riding all this time. Can he? And while you're at how about a ride report too? Larry

Nice pics & wished we could of been there to share the experience. Larry

There never has been any reported heat effects since mounting these air horn by the exhaust pipes. There is a bit of space between the heat shields and horn plus even more space between the actual pipe and shield. What brand are those horns and where did you get them? Larry will you be making mounting brackets? Nope no intentions of making any brackets for the Rivco trumpet horns. Sorry Larry

I'll 2nd alwrmcusn's statement above. I had a 05 Tri-Wing conversion (lost due being totaled last year) and now own a 09 Hannigan trike. Never have lacked for power with either one thou the 065 did require down shifting sooner in the mountains due to a taller gear ratio. The Hannigan conversion uses a 3:73 axle ratio so keeps the rpms in the right rang on the freeways. If by chance you do decide to buy B2Dad's trike you won't be sorry. I've spent many a mile riding with him and know that he's taken good care of his baby. in your search for a bike to suit you. Hey John so you've gotten your ride back hey. Take some time getting familiar with it and we'll get together before long. Larry

I can attest to the horns effectiveness as last weekend Carlos and I were ring along on a multi-lane road when a cage with a younger driver started switching lanes without either a signal or even looking. Carlos hit that horn button and there was an immediate reaction from the driver. Being behind Carlos and seeing the whole event transpire was enlighting to say the least. Frist the guy litterly jumped out of his skin with the jerking of the car back into the he was coming from. Must of thought there was a semi coming at him. :rotf::rotf:As we slowly passed by he wouldn't even look at us. Later his lane of traffic got up ahead of us and I saw he was looking and using his signal for a lane change so I would venture to say he learned something from the days drive. I thought I mounted the compressor behind the neck cover but see in Carlos pics its under the air filter housing. Larry

That sure looks good Woody. Welcome to the 3rd wheel world. Take it easy for a few miles and enjoy the ride. Larry

I'll 2nd Jonsey's opinion on it. I had just over 55k of which 35 of it being a Tri-Winged trike on my wrecked 05. The bike in question does seem pretty clean so someone may well be getting a great bike. Larry

I mounted a set of horns on Carlos bike in that spot. It was a bit tight but do able. He used the trumpet style of air horn . I mounted the compressor just behind the left neck cover then run the air hose to a "T" for the horns. Maybe he'll post up a couple of pics once he sees this post. I'll let him know about it. Larry

WOW. What a amazing story you've shared with us folks. All quality parts of life - both happy and sad. Certainly sad for the bear and especial your personal connections to those grand animals but ever thankful you survived with minimal damage to you and the Venture (Bear). Thanks for sharing , Larry -
Didn't drop the bike did ya? Larry

Playboy has the right wiring colors posted up. Also his suggestion of getting one of Steve's wiring harnesses is a very good idea too. I have one of his on my trike . Works great and makes wiring up the convertor a snap. Larry

May have a pair. I'll take a look when I get home later. Larry -
Unlike the body changes of the newer Wings I don't think anything has changed on the Venture / Hannigan trikes except for them upgrading the brakes during the last year couple of years or so. Not sure when Hannigan first started making the conversions for the Ventures but I know they had them available in 07 when I did the 05 I had with a Tri-Wing kit. Larry

All good reminders. Also one needs to be aware of wet leaves on the roads as they'll be slick too. Larry

It's been our pleasure as much as yours having you folks visiting with us all. Glad you had such a wonderful vacation this year and adding more memories along with the tour you took 2 years ago. Regardless of wherever you are you'll be in a lot of folks minds and hearts. Till we all meet again, God Bless you both with many more happy years to come. Larry

Lewis sorry to say you'll have to scratch our names off that short list. Joyce has a foot specialist Doc appointment early in the week and not having enough time to relax during the trip is a bummer. We'd be rushing to and from the event so have decided to stay home. Hope you do get a few more members to attend thou, as it is one heck of an experience to be a part of. Larry

Sorry to hear you lost a family member Bob & Becky. Been there ourselves too many times too. Earlier this summer we lost our toy fox terrier, Lady Bug. Never gets any easier no matter how many times you go thru this. As said they're family. Larry

Makes sense.

Going by the number Mike posted it looks like Yamaha actually shipped more than the 1,000 bike to the US after all as posted by Hobscotch. Larry

These "P" clamps work well on the crash bars. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/3/13/123/37203/ITEM/Kuryakyn-P-Clamp-Mount.aspx?WT.ac=SLIsearch Larry -
You'll like them for sure. Larry

Looking forward to seeing your project finished. Yep smart decision on hiring the concrete work. Larry
