  1. About as bad as it gets. Looked more like a junk yard instead of a highway.

  7. In all seriousness we did miss those who couldn't make it. It's always a question mark on attendance to gatherings this time of year due to weather. I guess we've been spoiled the last few years with relativity mild winters here in Michigan. Keep an eye out for our next M&E towards winters ending. Larry.
  8. Sorry if I scared anyone off with that weather report, Yes it was fairly nasty out there till about 1pm then it cleared up and roads became dry. By the time we left the house around 4 it was business as usual on the freeways. Bone dry roads all the way there and home again tonight. Posted a couple pics on BongoBobs post http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?threadid=84015 Anyhow we had great food and greater company to share it with. Larry
  9. We were having such a great time together we went back to Bob's hotel and then shared more tall tails till about 10:30. Here's a pic of our group. plus myself and Joyce ( she was just out of sight on a phone call in one of them). Then in the other pic was the no shows. Larry
  10. Wishing Jeff a speedy recovery but don't rush it either. Listen to the Doc's. You probably won't get away with much anyhow cause I'm sure Mini will keep you on a short leash. Larry
  11. Chris thanks for sharing your pictures and video's. Looking forward to seeing more of them. Larry

  16. Fascinating post here. Brings back some of my memories as a youth too. Had a couple of these poppers as you call em too but down to just one now. Local sportsman's club has a regular air gun league during the winter months. Larry
  17. It's something new that's been added to their backrests. I don't have that feature on my bike but did with a Suzuki I owned previously and enjoyed the option of taking it out of the way easily when I wanted to. This was on a Mustang seat. Larry
  18. Thanks everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday. Yep I survived another year here so no complaints on that. Don't think I'll be riding anytime soon though cause of being in the middle of a deep freeze here in Michigan. Puc you need to do a better job of sending that warm weather, and none of that lake effect snow either thank you. Larry
  19. Prayers sent up to our creator. peace from our house to yours
  20. Congrats on getting all of your benefits. Too bad about the medical issues you had to have to get it thou. Anyhow good things come to good people and you do deserve what you're getting. Larry
  21. Looking forward to seeing you Bob & Becky. If I'm free Friday night I'll try to hook up with you guys. Send me some more detailed info on the hotel location please. Larry
  22. Short Hijack Ok I don't understand why you're having problems shipping your harnesses into Canada. I ship my horn harness there with minimal costs and never have had a problem with the border folks. I use USPS exclusively, mark the form as a gift, along with the description of the mailer contents. Costs are generally somewhere between $3-$5 if I recall. Larry
  23. I'm enjoying reading you guys experience's which confirms what some friends have told me over the years of theirs. Like Lewis I was dismissed the day I went in for the draft physical (hearing loss) thus missed having to go thru the Vietnam era war. As many have said some gave some , some gave all with their lives serving our country. I attended The Wall in DC a couple years ago and reading the names of fellow high school students who gave their lives there brought tears to my eyes. I for one certainly appreciate everyone who have served or are serving in any capacity in our military forces. Larry
  24. Looking good girl. Reminds of another Annie. Orphan Annie if you will. Larry
  25. Wishing Wes a speedy & successful recovery from his operation. Larry
