Yep you'll be liking those new wheels. Too bad your buying experience wasn't as satisfying. We have had a couple of Kia's now and really like what the company offers. First had a Sportage we put 60 k on before trading up to the larger Sorento. Between the two we put on over 105k trouble free miles. Nothings been done regular maintenance, oil & filter changes on them, 1 brake job on the Sportage and a set of tires on both. Speaking of tires the original tires on the Sorento weren't snow friendly either so last summer I put on a set of Goodyear's. Doing so made a world of difference this winter driving thru snow. Lots of power from the V-6 as well. The son has had a couple Kia's as well, currently driving a Soul back and forth to work. Same experiences for him so far. Larry

My son had both wrists done a couple months ago. He's doing ok now but it took a while to get back to semi normal. Still not 100% but much better then before he had them done. Larry

I too like them and did look at a couple when we were car shopping but prices kept me away at the time. We love this hard top convertible with auto shift Miata we have now. Larry BTW: Nice car

The US girls went from offense to playing not to lose defense. Thus allowing the Canadians to make the plays that allowed them to tie the game. It was a good game none the less.

I generally don't need work done on the bike but for me the MD at Don's was to share time with my fellow VR members. I just enjoy attending M & E's, Don's MD, and the International rallies sharing time & rides, & seeing & enjoying different parts of the country. I could be persuaded to attend an M&E or MD if near enough like Wisconsin or west Michigan. Larry

I haven't added any cruise controls to any Royal Stars but have used the AudioVox systems on numerous other brands of bikes. The Rostra electronic cruise control looks good too thou it's twice the cost of an AudioVox unit. It does appear to be smaller in size so would be more readily hidden or tucked in on the bike. Personally I prefer an electronic cruise control over any throttle lock when riding and I've used a bunch of different types over the years. Larry

Looking forward to the product report once installed. Jay I've used mc inner tubes on the front brake lever and if getting the right size they work good. Currently I use a male/female Velcro strip. Just pull back the lever and then attach the Velcro strip. Larry

WOW what an interesting story you've shared with all of us. So many wonderful memories you and your family have done over the years. You are truly a blessed man even when you've gotten into minor troubles. :rotf:That's just part of life friend and what makes it interesting for sure. I have had a 05RSV / Tri-Wing trike (totaled a year and a half ago) and currently have an 83 Standard and a 09RSV / Hannigan trike. Larry

Sorry for your loss Lewis & Charlene. Yep you loss a family member there and will require some grieving time to come to terms with his passing. Never easy making that decision at the vets either. Been there a few times myself. Peace. Larry

Good post Puc. Reminds me of the 68 Sportster I had for a few years. when I was in my twenties. Kick start with a mag hung on the right side. I could "usually" get her started within the 3rd kick. But boy if I didn't that puppy sure could throw your leg into a fit. Fact is to this day I still have problems with my right knee from that machine. Loved riding it just the same thou. The previous bike was a 66 650 BSA. A kicker too but no where the beast the Sporty was. Ah to be young again eh? Larry

Wow what a years time has made in the difference of Justin's recovery. Considering the seriousness of his injuries he has done remarkably well. With continued progress on his part and all who have him in his thoughts and prayers he'll make it back. Time is his friend. Larry
