  1. I think if Puc was to get a smaller single wheeled trailer he'd be in heaven touring. He could still hit those two tracks easily. Those type trailers track the same as the bike and as far as I know handle great. Maybe someone who uses one can comment on this. TX? maybe? Larry
  2. While I haven't ridden a Harley trike to be able to compare the differences between it and my RSV/Hannigan trike, my trike doesn't handle nowhere near like what's been described by those who have ridden the Harleys. It's a very stable machine due to the wide rear axle, longer wheel base, and raked tree. The independent suspension also contributes to as smoother ride. The only time I've only experienced "head shake" at slow speeds going over rail old crossings at an angle. I have ridden a Suzuki Volusia that was triked. No raked tree, solid axle, short narrow wheel base and couldn't wait to get off of it. That trike probably compares with a non raked Harley. Bottom line is not all trikes are created equally. As for those folks who lost their lives I grieve for them & their families as I would for any fellow bikers. Larry
  3. I've painted the back side of the wind deflectors black for a dark effect. If you spray with a very light touch you could get the smoked effect you're looking for. Larry
  4. Sorry to hear of your loss Bob. Will keep you and Becky in our thoughts and prayers. Have a safe journey to and from Michigan. Larry
  5. Got it Bill Sending the order out Monday. Larry
  6. Got it Earl. Sent it out this afternoon. I e-mailed you the shipping info as well. Larry
  7. I'm back. I hope. This past week I've been without my desktop and no e-mails were getting thru to me from Monday till this evening. Thou I managed to get online a few times it was only on either the tablet or laptop, but still no mail getting through from my server. I even took the desktop into a PC shop and they did find and remove a virus but that really doesn't seem to have been the cause. Bottom line is if anyone were wanting to contact me during the week they'll need to do so again. Sorry for any inconveniences folks. Larry
  8. Happy Birthday Patricia. Hope you have a great day today.
  9. Puc, you & Tippy have a fun filled, safe trip. Looking forward to seeing yours posts. Larry
  10. Congratulations to the both of you, Annie & Al.
  11. And DO NOT use any Loctite on any of those screws on the fairing. Larry
  12. Or electric shift. Larry
  13. Jeff's suggestion of using the appliance cardboard is a good one. I used to use that stuff myself till my source dried up. Now I buy 4x8 sheets at a commercial cardboard supplier and just make all of my boxes. Larry
  14. Keeping Skid in thoughts while waiting for his latest test results. Hoping for great news in the next day or 2. Larry
  15. Having ridden toe shifted bikes for years and now using the heel toe shifters on the last 3 bikes, since "01", I too prefer the heel toe shifter models. Wonder which class of clown I fit under? :confused24: No matter, to each his own. Larry
  16. I've had two of each on two different bikes. Both are of good quality. One of the Clearview's I had was the tinted and vent which helped with sun glare and headlights at night. The last two shields I've used which includes the current one are F-4's. I love that they're more scratch resistant and very clear looking through them. No tinted shield now but I still use the vent which I also like for that bit of extra air. Oh yea all were extra tall models. I prefer the F-4 but you can't go wrong with either choice. Larry
  17. That'll work. Just give me a heads up when you're wanting to get it done. Days or weekends should be OK too. Larry
  18. My 05 TRi-Wing/RSV had both the Flanders bars and the easy steer raked tree. The Hannigan has both as well. I think the rake on it was 4 1/2* . The Hannigan uses I believe 6* For me there was a noticeable difference in steering effort. Hannigan being much easier to handle but you'll still be tired after a day on the twisities if not used to riding them. Another difference is low speed front wheel wobble with the Tri-Wing having a lot more. The longer wider wheel base coupled with the extra rake on the Hannigan is simply just more stable. I do feel your pain in the wallet as I went thru that as well when I first went with the Tri-Wing saving myself about 6k. Good luck on whichever way you decide to go. Larry
  19. You left? Good to see you're back. glad you enjoyed a ride this last weekend. Hope you get more. Larry
  20. Nice pics. My guess for non-entry would be the gun in the gun boot. Larry
  21. That nut really doesn't tighten the steering head down. You still need to get to the steering head nuts under the top triple tree. The chrome nut on top just locks down the top tree against the steering head nuts. Thus it still has to be loosened . Larry
  22. Sent you a PM John Larry
  23. Leaving for towards home in a few minutes. We'll do an over nighter by Indy then finish getting home tomorrow. We had a great time with our friends from VR and especialy the B2's. Thanks Don & Patti for all you do. Larry
  24. Geez Annie that hurts way too much to be doing that stuff . Unbalanced or not. Hope it heals as quickly as possible but know it takes us old folks a bit more time. Least ways that's been my experience. Carry on best you can Annie. Larry BTW: Thought you was always a bit unbalanced so did you fall cause you got balanced? Love ya just the same.
  25. Yea you get it broke in for you yet? Hope you're enjoying some many miles on it. Larry
