  1. Behind the right side horn. Its under a 10mm hex bolt on the engine case. Larry
  2. I was faced by the same thing recently. My Nissan Titan crew cab, v-8, 4x4 averaged 15-16 mpg no matter how I drove it. Checked out a Chevy 2014 crew cab, 2 wheel drive and realized I could save a bunch of money at the pump and elsewhere. Fuel mpg on the Chevy, 1st 1k miles averaged 20.5 mpg, since then I've gotten between 21.5 & 22.5, depending on speed on the freeways. I'm actually saving $20 a month on insurance for the new truck too, but offset that with a $10/month increase in my monthly payment. For me it was worth switching. Larry
  3. I was just thinking a dolly with casters and a small hydraulic or scissor jack would work too. Bing in a confined space going straight up & down would be a plus. And probably safer. Larry
  4. Had a great time visiting with both fellow members and touring St. Jude again. Even learned some things that we didn't know of from past visits. What an awesome place there. Larry
  5. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Vacuum-Carburetor-Synchronizer-carb-sync-Gauge-Yamaha-XS-XJ-1100-1200-/380901309371?pt=Motors_Automotive_Tools&hash=item58af7cbbbb This is what I use and recommend. I feel these gauges are more accurate than the carb tune most people use here. Cost is about the same too. Larry
  6. It's always tough to lose a family member and you know our pets are family. Prayers for you all. Larry
  7. Copied this post article from yesterdays SilvrT's post -- http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/09/17/coming-soon-when-a-cop-points-his-radar-gun-at-you-it-could-detect-more-than-just-speeding/ Hopefully something like this can put a dent in the number of these type of accidents happening. Larry
  8. Ok you do have one of my adapters if it has legs. The copy cat dude on e-bay doesn't make the removable leg version of my adapters and uses the older version of my Standard lift adapter. He also paints his red so you can tell if it's his or one of mine. I've upgraded my design for both Standard and Freestanding model a couple of times since first making them. Send me a pm with your address and I'll send you a bolt on safety bar. This bar will allow you to butt up against it with the lifting arms thus ensuring you have full contact under the far side. Larry
  9. Don't do that anymore. Seriously you'll give all of us heart failure. Does your adapter have the added safety bar for the shorter jacks? Is the adapter one of mine? Let me know more on this so we can prevent future problems. Larry
  10. Add Joyce & I in

    Sad day

Sorry to hear of your loss Buddy & Peggy. May you always remember the good times you had with Dakota. I'm sure those good times out weigh any bad ones by far. Prayers to you both. Larry
  14. Congrads to the two of you, Puc and Tippy. Wishing you both many more years sharing this special occasion. God bless the both of you. Larry
  15. 911 is one date in history of our great country that never will be forgotten. Thanks Venturous for your story. I was at work as well and it was very eerie for me to not see a plane anywhere in the sky as we live near an airport and its flight paths.
  16. Guess I'll eat some crow now. I know at one time there was some talk between Suzuki and Kawasaki doing projects together. Nothing came of that I think. Oh well
  17. Don't feel bad Joe. I swiped that link off FB after Mike "The Diamond Cut guy" posted it. Larry
  18. Anybody see this post before? Thoughts? http://motorcycles.about.com/b/2012/04/01/mega-merger-announced-by-japanese-motorcycle-manufacturers.htm?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=shareurlbuttons One paragraph of the article -- The new organization promises to be a technological tour de force. "We will usher in a new era of motorcycling," said spokesperson Soichiro Genichi Kojiro Michio, speaking on behalf of the manufacturers. "Using our new collective of racetracks which now includes Fukuroi, Motegi, Autopolis, and Hamamatsu, we will engineer a bold new breed of four-cylinder superbikes that will beat the best from Germany, Italy, and beyond." "By bringing together our collective powers, we will deliver a world class 200+ horsepower, 1,000cc sportbike for under $10,000, a 100 cubic-inch cruiser for under $5,000, and an eight-cylinder touring bike for less than the price of a maxi-scooter." Interesting times may be in the near future. Larry
  19. Got an 83 maroon colored one available as well. Reasonable offers accepted. Will take a pic tomorrow if interested. Larry
  20. Congratulations on your anniversary. It sounds like she is definitely a keeper. Wishing you many more years together. Larry
  21. Sad news no one wants to hear. Prayers for Joe & his family. Larry
  22. A very beautiful bike Jonas and you're rightfully entitled to be proud of how it turned out. Love the seat combo and once you get that bib that'll be icing on the cake so to speak. Awesome detailing there. Larry
  23. Happy Birthday Lewis. Hope you have a great day today.
  24. I believe its a 12 mm sized Allen socket. Hannigan provides a tool with that size on one end and a 3/4" hex head on the other end. Length is about 2 7/8" long. You could purchase just a Allen socket in 1/2" drive and use an extension to clear the rim. Larry
  25. Know how you're feeling having seen our trike depart for its new home last weekend. yea a bittersweet moment bit then you have a new ride too. I'm still waiting for my replacment to come in at the dealers. Larry
