Sometimes it helps to cant the wheel so that the caliper being bleed has the bleed screw at the highest point. If the wheel is left straight there can be air trapped yet still pump fluid out. I've even gone so far as to take a caliper off to bleed them on troublesome bikes. Larry

Best look into the master cylinder then, You surely don't want that to fail completely when needed most. Of course you still have the front brakes but why risk damaging that beautiful 09. Larry

Puc you're right about the low angled hood on the Slingshot. Heaven forbid anyone plays tag with them deer. I don't think the outcome to be very pretty. It has been mentioned on the slingshot forum putting a taller windshield with the roof top would help in that regard. Not sure I want a taller shield thou as I can look over the stock one fine. F-4 offers a +3 and a +5" taller shield. A +3 would put the top edge directly in my line of vision while a +5 would force me to look thru it. With the stock shield in place there's 9" between it and the roll bar. I will get a F-4 shield eventually as they build in a curved lip near the top to direct air up and over the driver/passenger. I've yet to see the SL Limited orange model. My dealer has sold over 20 of these machines so far. Getting them out the door as soon as they arrive it seems. Yea I'd equate capacity of the storage bins to about the sizes of large saddle bags. You lose the trunk space but gain a bit back having the glove box. So totals are smaller than a RSV. Here's a couple quick examples I found. One guy even had bags twice the sizes of these. Hey FlynFool you just know Ole Puc would utilize that roof to lash down his gear. Larry

I looked for a capacity rating but couldn't find anything other than storage will fit standard sized back packs. I did a rough measurement of the storage bins (they're behind the seats) and got approximately 12 wide x 18 high x 16 deep. Depth varies by height as there is more at the top than the bottom due to the bodies taper. Also the drivers side loses a bit at the bottom as a battery is located to one side. It's accessible from the outside so no concerns making contact with stored items. Doors are lockable as is the big glove box. For trips people are adding mc sissy bar bags to the roll hoops. At this time no one has offered a trailer hitch for these machines thou there is at least one vendor is testing a prototype but hasn't marketed it yet.The vendor who built my roof top is also going to offer some sort of luggage capacity. Steve I'm happy you're enjoying the trike. I would have loved to have kept it but couldn't justify doing that due to garage space and income limitations. I have missed riding it too. Larry

Yep that's a good meet spot for the south east corner of Michigan on heading to Don's MD. Even the Ontario members have used that location to make it a rally point heading to Don's place. Hopefully we'll be there as well. We may have a conflicting schedule on Friday and may have to arrive late Friday night. If that's the case we'll also miss the evening meal at Q S& L. Larry

I finally had a decent day to take a couple pics of my new Slingshot. Currently I have just over 1k on the odometer and enjoying even mile of it. Yesterday we installed a roof top for extra shade on hot days. There may even be a luggage option for the top in the future on our road trips. Larry

With a Hannigan conversion kit you're still using the stock master cylinder. Definitely re-bleed the brakes and go from there. Larry

There's really only a couple things that could be happening here. One is you still have some air in the calipers or lines somewhere. Two would be that the master cylinder itself is starting to fail. Larry

I'm going to 2nd Rookie's & many others here statements. Although I sold my 09 Hannigan triked RSV last year and replaced it with a Polaris Slingshot I have no intentions of abandoning this great group of people or the forum. I've enjoyed way to much with the folks here and consider many family and even new folks friends. I'm looking forward to this summers meets to continue sharing time with new and old members. Besides I still have a 83 Standard that I'll need to gather info on from those here who know these years bikes better than I do. Larry

That's a great suggestion and one that I use no matter what I'm driving. Especially on a bike. So while not a new idea it surely is one well worth reminding folks cause it just may save their life or an accident. Larry

Alright you trouble maker. I get in enough trouble without getting blamed for stuff I didn't do. Just for the record Joyce was up on a step stool in the kitchen, got off balance, & ended up on the floor. She was in enough pain we decided she best see the Docs. She got special delivery to the ER vie our local fire/ rescue. Eventually after getting a shot to ease the pain and a couple X-rays the Doc sent us on our way home. The diagnosis being a badly bruised hip. Two days later she's getting around some but hurting still. This too shall eventually pass. Larry

Today Joyce and I are celebrating our 48th year of marriage. Boy it sure don't seem like its been that long thou we did raise a couple of great kids and now have two grandkids who are pretty grown up as well. Courtney well turn 21 soon & is completing her 2nd year of collage while Brandon will graduate high school next month and will be heading for collage himself next fall. Old man time waits for no one so we best enjoy what time our Lord allows us on this earth. Looking forward to many more together. Anyhow Happy Anniversary Joyce. Larry

Yep that was one enjoyable area to ride in during the VR rally. Unfortunately for me I didn't get to ride with the group much as I was nursing a bad back with pulled muscles. Hope to get back out that way again. Larry

I like this version of reverse trike, more so than the Can Am's due to so much Wing stuff out there. BUT at that $32k + cost the Slingshots at $20-$24k are a better bang for the buck. When one looks at costs of a conventional mc trike you're looking at $24k and up into those $30k numbers depending on make, model, & year of mc & trike conversion. I believe we'll be seeing a lot more of these reverse trikes in the future & even more of the new wave of "auto cycles". Larry
