Another big Thanks for Skid, Leslie, Josh and Jordan. You all did a mighty fine job for a 1st time planned event of this nature. Joyce and I got home this afternoon since we decided to stop overnight in Columbus on the way home Sunday. Going thru a couple of very heavy T-storms sort of took the fun out of riding so we just called it a day. It was a real pleasure to have met new & old friends again and the area rides were great. We'll look forward to Skid-In II if there is one. Larry

Sorry to read this about your bike Randy. I really admired it while at Vogal last year. Good luck with following thru and getting compensated for your loss. Hopefully you'll not be out of pocket expenses. Still it's pretty depressing to see your sweet ride treated like curbside trash. Larry

Thanks for the correction HGWT. Larry

I'm giving a heads up here that I'll be on vacation from June 20-30 so won't be able to fulfill any orders till after I return home. I'll be at Skid's WV Rally later in the week so could be able to bring any orders with me there if you are there as well. I will fill any orders till Wednesday 18th thou. Larry

Love your grill as well. Taking care of your health is first and foremost. You're customers will still be there when you're ready again. Hope you have a successful surgry. Larry

I would suggest adding some Ride-On tire sealant to the tire. That way if the screw hole did indeed develop a leak later then the sealant will do it's job and plug it. Just insurance in my minds eye. I do use this product and have full faith in it in my bikes tires as well as just adding some to my mc trailer today. Larry

VT I took off the entire rear tail light and turn signals when I converted to my trike. What do you need? Larry

Similar to the Can-Am Spyders but better looking IMO. Would like to test drive one too. With high gas prices I think we'll see a lot more of these type vechicles in the near future. Folks who wouldn't normally buy a two wheeled mc will be attracted to these and have for the most part the same ride experinces of being in the wind. Larry

You can wire it up same as we do for the Ventures. Location of horn and relay may be different but that is all. That and wire colors would most likely be different too. Either do a seach here on wiring or shoot me a e-mail and I'll send you wiring instructions I include with my horn brackets. Larry

Don you truly are blessed with such a wonderfull, understanding family. Larry BTW: I enjoyed you repeating your story here while getting your hair cut.

Ron the kit I used is made in Britsh Columbia, Canada by Tri-Wing. http://www.triwing.com/ Great company to deal with IMO and will take care of any questions or problems right away. JerryM has the same body on his RSTD too. In fact both bikes are "05's". Two other companies offer trikes for the Ventures - Hannigan & Champion - but those are fealer or factory conversions. Tri-Wing is the only one selling kits for the do it yourself folks. There is no differene for rider or passenger as to room as that stays the same. The bike will be longer after the conversion, 10-12" I think. Anything else you want to know I'll be happy to pass along what I learned doing this conversion. Larry

No problem Brake Pad. This one holds 24 cu. ft. but lose some of that with the spare tire inside. It's more trailer than I need I hope. Like you I'm sure the wife will find enough stuff for her to pack it to the top. Larry

Like everyone else says here it is us, the attendees, who owe Don & his family all the thanks. I brought along my son on his Suzuki as well as having a good friend from Pa meet us at Don's. Being as this was the first VentureRider.org for both of them they were quite impressed with the goings on. At any rate they and myself had a great time. My only regrets were not having enough time to meet and chat with everyone. It looks like next year I'll be getting there earlier and staying longer or overnight. There was just so much going on at once it was hard to keep up. Thanks Don, Eileen, & Dylan Larry

Sweet looking 1st gen there for sure. Had a lot of tender loving care put into it. Both by those who did the work and who helped otherwise making it a realty. Hope Jeff enjoys this one for a long time. Larry

OK folks I recieved a couple of e-mails concerning the departure time. Kickstand up (departure time) will be at 8:30. Anyone wanting breakfast should arrive early enough to have breakfast and be ready to go. Matter of fact if it appears everyone who have said they're coming is there we may even leave before 8:30. We'll see on that at the time. See ya all in the morning. Larry.

I bought one off e-bay that's rubber on inside and leather on outside. I'll have to look up the info later as well as post a pic. Mine has conchos and red piping on the edges. Larry

I've only seen one out so far and it was parked with some other rocket riders. A dealer near by is carring them as well. Don't know if they've any/many yet thou. Larry

Now you tell me Brake Pad. To late now as I'll just keep this one. Larry

quote: Larry I was thinking about taking 75-south to 420-south to 20-south/east to 303-east to Hawley road. This way it's 135 miles. This way cuts out most of the freeway. What do you think. Al Sounds good to me. Never been on that route before so no idea what road is like. Let's wait and see what weather will be. If we get a late start then might be best to hit the e-way to make up time. Looked at the route on my MS map program. It's almost a straight shot to Don's once you get off 2-80 Larry

Oh that's already been thought of. Just havent had time to get-er-done yet. Just finished making the hitch, bumper and cooler rack. Larry

JT just remember one thing here. The folks on this site are & will be pulling for you and your wife.I pray you'll soon be seeing more highs than low on the roller coaster of a ride you're on. May the Lord in Heaven see fit to bless you all in these trying times. Larry

Posted a few pics of the new Ion trailer I bought last week. Been looking for a while at various makes, models & styles. Loved this teardrop style from the get-go but wasn't sure about pricing. While checking around I found a local dealer who just happened to have a demo available at a price I couldn't refuse. Here's a couple of links to web sites for those who may be interested. --- http://www.jemanufacturing.com/ http://www.golittleguy.com/cms/component/option,com_zoom/Itemid,77/catid,31/ Larry
