  1. http://roadstercycle.com/V-Max%20Pictures.htm not your typical trike
  2. Yep I make a hitch for the Slingshots. Its half the costs or more of the commercial units available. Strong, simple, & efficient just like my RSV hitches. Larry
  3. That'll be great Touch. My feeling is the same for out of area drivers but what do I know? Common sense is my thoughts but we know how that goes some times. Definitely looking forward to the rally. See ya there, Larry
  4. Interesting news Tooch. With the rules you've posted above it appears they'll be more classified as an auto cycle like many states are doing here in the US. I see one problem with the rule concerning pulling a trailer. What about visitors from the States who tow a trailer or even those who tow with a Can Am? Are they going to be ticketed / fined? Do you have a link showing these new rules? Larry
  5. Its really up to you and your lovely wife whether you want to host this event. You know people will come if its posted and low numbers may be a blessing too. Do what you feel is best for you guys I say. Larry
  6. By all means you really need to take a decent test ride on one to see if you fit good on it. Depending on how long legged you are there are foot pegs that can be added but no matter what you get you'll be spreading your feet apart. May or may not bother you but you won't know till you ride a Wing.
  7. I want to John but being so close to the International I'm not sure if we can swing it $$$ wise. I just took a big hit in the wallet last week replacing our furnace / AC units. Not ruled out entirely but won't know till later if we can swing it. Larry
  8. Welcome to the Slingshot world Gary. After having mine for over a year now I know I made the right decision buying ours. Ya I still miss my 09/ Hannigan trike at times but the comfort in the Slingshot overcome having any second thought. What year is yours? 2015 or 2016 year model? No real differences between the years thou. Polaris has been addressing a few bugs in the early 2015 model so the 2016's should be trouble free now. Have fun with it and hope we cross paths this summer. I plan on going to the International and Mike's Root Beer run. Also the Canadian rally in Ontario, some of CowPuc's Hot Dog meets, and Don's MD, and who knows where else we'll end up. Larry
  9. That's not nice Eck. Quit trying to scare us like this.. Myself I don't do ladders much anymore. I can get into enough trouble on the ground.
  10. Sorry to hear of Don's set back. You both are in my thoughts and prayers. Good luck for Don getting healed properly. Larry & Joyce
  11. Reminds me of my 09 when I had it. Beautiful bike you have there.
  12. Sorry for your loss Don. May she rest in peace. Prayers for all. Larry
  13. Question on logging in? When I had Win 7 I didn't have to log in with a password on each startup but after installing Win 10 a password is required to open the pc. Is there a setting I can set or is this another improvement (?) of MS? This is for my desk top so only wife & I use it. Larry Oh and thanks SilvrT for that link on VueScan
  14. Happy to hear you & Becky had a good & safe trip.
  15. Good to hear the operation went well. Now get healed & healthy before we do those hotdog runs we're planning.
  16. Goes to show nothing is ever free. either you or someone else pays
  17. Bikes I have pics of that I owned, had a couple Harley Sportsters, a Allstate scooter, and a couple Honda Dreams from 65 as well. 01 Suzuki Volusia 05 RSV 67 BSA Spitfire 01 Volusia dressed up 66 Honda Super Hawk 305 cc Hawk clean up time Daughter sitting on the BSA
  18. I've found that due to slight variations the rod is rarely straight when inserting the rod into the frame tabs. It's really not a problem and actually a benefit as it tightens the adapter to the frame. Proper instructions: turn handle forward (level), then bend the rod enough to get a slip fit for the left side tab (kickstand side), turn handle 180* so its facing rearward. That should tighten the adapter to the frame. Larry
  19. Didn't put the oil in the bike already did ya? Larry
  20. Its an easy job to pull the oil pan. I would do that if other methods fail on finding the plug. Oh ya no need to remove the motor from the bike either. Good luck, Larry
  21. Thoughts & prayers for Linda and family during this time of sorrow. I'll miss talking about trikes with Jonsey. He'll be missed by many of us for sure. RIP Jonsey
  22. Even I had forgotten about removing the adapter. Thus my warning in the instructions. On the rod I could have shortened it, but left it as is once I found out the side stand wouldn't close all the way. Consider it a backup safety. Larry
  23. Prayers offered up for Jonsey. Wishing him the best dealing with this health issue. Larry
  24. Southeast Michigan -- 0 snow. Flying Fool has his machine tuned just right now. Bout time the south is getting their share for a change
  25. Hit that nail right on the head Bobby. Like you I've seen a lot of what you've described, even been involved in some of those example. Folks who have even drifted to other branded rides still call this place home, myself included. I'll say one thing for sure you can't beat being a part of this great site and participating with the folks here and at any of the meets, get-togethers , or rally's. I look forward to continuing meeting members this coming riding season. Until I get back on the road everyone be safe out there. Larry I'm not an original member, close thou as I joined up May of 05 when I first got my Midnight.
