Thanks for covering my back guys. Yep Ken still kicking here and not going anywhere soon I hope. Larry

I bought a pair of them yesterday while attending the G-daughters hockey tourney. Was going to post this up tonight but Gary beat me to it. For $10 you can't go wrong. That's a $30 savings since they normally cost $40. Larry

How does the speedometer pick up work on ( say) a triwing trike?
Carbon_One replied to rounce's topic in Trike & Sidecar Talk
On my Tri-Wing the speedo sensor is mounted on top of the axle just over the flange on front. The flange has a set of notches machined in it. I don't know off hand how many or what size they are (will check tomorrow). The flange is also tapered to match the angle of the sensor so that the senors end is even with the flange and having a consistant gap there. I'm not even sure without checking what the gap is either but I'd think it's at what yamaha calls for with the stock two wheeled set up. Deffineately you've got a screwed up system there and I'm supprised it even gives a reading on the speedometer. Oh ya any kind of erratic response from the sender will cancel out a cruise control setting. I'll dig up some more info and pics tomorrow if you want them. Larry -
Having had a FFl for over 16 years I totally agree with Rental guy on all he says. I no longer have the license as it just got to cumbersome in dealing with the Feds and their mountains of paperwork. I had been dropped-in inspected twice with no problems on my part. I finally realized that having that license was restricting me more than common folk. And I can't tell you the relief I felt when I gave em my books. Besides by this time in life I was getting away from the shooting sports thou still having a strong connection to my gun club. Criminals will always have access to guns and won't worry the least about what laws they break in aquiring them and most certainly won't be filling out those forms like we all do. Larry

Don't Try this Kiddies. Not nice Border Guards.
Carbon_One replied to mrich12000's topic in Watering Hole
We've been back and forth to Canada many a times and thus far all have gone smoothly. This past weekend the customs guy asks where we're going, we tell him, and off we go. Basicly the same question crossing back into the US the same day. Only once as a teenager my brother and I was asked to go into the customs office on the Canadian side. That paticular time we were doing a mc trip loop around Lake Huron. Camping along the way and all. They got all the info asked to their satisfaction and off we went having a great ole time. Of course this happend back in the late 60's. I'm very much aware that todays world is nothing like it was 40-50 years ago. I'll continue crossing back and forth as long as either goverment will allow me as I have too many friends over that northern border. Larry -

No patent as cost is more then I'm willing to pay. I only advertise them here at VR and the Delphi forum RSV & RSTD site. If I was setting up a website and advertising them all over, prices of the adapters would increase, so by doing this the way I do I can keep prices much more affordable for the members here. What profits I do make also help supplement a small pension & SS. Larry -
Pretty well done and does get the info across. I liked it Larry

Lift for 2008 Venture

That drawing has all of the old demensions and I've completely changed it around for ease of use. I only made a few of them using those measurements when I completely revamped the adapter. Yea it'd work but the new improved model is so much better IMHO. Most folks want the Freestanding model anyhow by at least 20-1. Larry -
Sounds like a good plan there if we don't make a connection on the road. I'm planning on going to BongoBob's NY Meet & Eat this coming weekend. We'll most likely cut across Canada getting there as well since it's shorter. Don't know if time is a factor or not as we'll be leaving Friday sometime. No matter you take care of "Annie" on your end till your're ready to send her packing. LOL Woukld love to take "Annie" across the Big Mac bridge. She's love looking thru them grates on it. PM me whenever. Larry

Comfort Inn has my vote as well. Management there treated us very good I thought. And only a short hop to the Friday evening gathering at the Quaker Steak & Lube. Larry

I use a hanging gas furnace called Hot Dawg made by Modine. It's a 45k unit and heats my 20x40 garage nice. Hooked up to a thermostat as well. Its vented so no moisture or fumes. Larry

Hope Yamaha doesn't see this or we'll never get rid of the cassettes. Larry
