  1. Home Depot and Lowes carry them Larry
  2. Guess you'd call that a rude wake up call. LOL My guess is the driver have the cruise control set on and seeing as it's on a freeway probably doing at least 70 mph or more. Good thing there wasn't anyone else in the vechical. Larry
  3. Pics we need pics Oh have fun too Larry
  4. Hey maybe we could do that at Don's MD next year. Only problem is it might agitate the pond monsters. Larry
  5. hahaha That's going to leave a mark. Larry
  6. Talk about having a death wish. Sure was excepting to see him get squished . Larry
  7. Besides what Squidley & Goose has said you can drop in a V-Max differential and that'll put the power band back where it's needed. You'll add about 500 rpm at 70 mph doing that. Hannigan trikes use the 3:73 gearing (same as the V-Max) and Tri-Wing uses a 3:42 gearing which is what I have. I am considering opting for a 3:73 gearing this winter but undecided at the moment. As Squidley says I generally have to downshift to keep the engine bettween 3 & 4 k to keep it happy on hills. Oh the trike weighs in at an additional 400 lbs so I'm hauling another 200 over you. Fuel econemy does take a hit but I can get anywhere from mid 20's to mid 30's depending on whether I'm towing my trailer and sppeds being run. Hope this helps, Larry
  8. Show em these pics & links
  9. Or you can get this one as well. http://www.repairmanual.com/online/official-1999-2010-yamaha-xvz13-royal-star-venture-factory-service-manual-lit-11616-12-60/ I use the book myself as it's easier using it in the garage. Larry
  10. Thanks for this link. I may order a pkg of them to put on my lift adapters. Kind of dress them up a bit. Larry
  11. You guys running those Metlezers are really really pushing your luck. If you value your life you'll put something else on right away regardless of what the thread life looks like on them now. At the speeds PGunn was running he's very lucky that tire didn't blow. Larry
  12. Too bad you're not closer or I'd check them out for you. Maybe another member nearby could look at them for you if you don't feel up to the task. Or get it up to Muffinman's shop. At least with him doing the work you know it'd be done right at a fair price. Larry
  13. Hurt my back over the weekend so may not make it depending on how it heals. Currently the bike is parked and only riding I'm doing is in the easy chair. Larry
  14. Not much better here either. I pulled a muscle in my back couple days ago and can hardly move without pain. Needless to say the scoot is parked till I'm feeling better. Bummer too cause I missed Kevin's shore line ride and may even miss the Flint M&E next weekend. Oh and keep that bug ya all have at home I don't need that on top of my aliments. Larry
  15. Loved watching that. Great story there. Larry
  16. I've complained many times at those toll booths to no avail. Now that I'm three I just ignore it but sure used to get interesting at times. Especialy when it had been raining. Larry
  17. Glad you found the problem even thou you ended up with egg on your face. LOL Now hit the highway & enjoy that trip this weekend. Larry
  18. More then likely he's become the squeeze. Larry

What? No seat? No thanks not with my bad knees. might be fun thou for a short ride. Larry
  20. That's just plain nuts. As said before NO way. My stomache was doing flip flops just watching that film. Right now that would 1750 higher than I ever intend to get. Larry
  21. Or put it up on a jack using my lift adapter. Perfectly level then. Larry Shameles plug
  22. LOL well I was in a hurry so just shot the pic where I last parked the bike. In front of the trash can and trailer. Larry
  23. Made them myself. Have had serveral requests for them and at this time have been contemplating building a few sets up but that won't happen till my riding season is over as I don't want to take these off just now. I also want to build up some sort of fixture so as they can be duplicated easier rather then doing one set at a time as I have for this set & one I made for B2Dad's trike. I'll post up a article once I'm ready to presue this project. Larry
  24. I'd go with the Works shock and never look back. The extra expense would be worth it IMO. The shock is very easy to change as well so depending on what a dealer wants to do the job you could save big $$$ doing it yourself. Maybe convince the dealer to give ya a big discount off the price of the bike & use that towards the shocks replacement costs. Larry
