  1. Well since ya put it that way. Ya I guess so Larry
  2. Vic used a Tri-Wing body but fabed up the running gear himself. Correct me if I'm wrong Vic. Larry
  3. Well done Vic. I know you've been working on this project for a while. Glad to see it finished as I'm sure you are too. How well does the reverse work? Larry
  4. poor kid for sure. he'll likely be a pancake before getting home. As to the biker with apes that's just outrageous. It wouldn't be illegal here in Michigan. State law says 16" from grips to top of drivers seat. Thou it's not enforced much except for a perhaps State police. Larry
  5. I replaced the stock levers for the ones sold at JCW. I think they do come back a bit futher then the stock ones do. Due mostly to the flatness of them and possibly the curve of them. I'll check measurements tomorrow. I do wear a large size glove so haven't really had a problem like some of you folks. I also agree that these bikes should have adjustable levers on both sides. Like many others here I had a Suzuki Volusia with the adjustable levers, neat feature. Larry
  6. Smart choice Kat. You guys will really enjoy that ride. I had an 01 for 5 years prior to getting my RSV. Have fun & be safe Larry
  7. I never owned a bike with a windshield till I bought a Suzuki and put one on it. For me it was all about that certain comfort level without feeling beat to death on long rides, especially on the highway. Currently I have a extra tall Clearview w/vent. While I would prefer a shorter shield to see over, my pillon passenger says otherwise. So it's all about keeping momma happy too. Even with a windshield/fairing combo I still feel plenty of circulating air. It's just not blasting on me constantly. Larry
  8. You wouldn't necessarily need to toss it in a bag. Just flip it over so that the decal is on the bottom out of view. Larry
  9. If that bike runs as good as it looks you did well indeed. It's a keeper for sure. Larry
  10. Looks good to me Boss, now that the flood is over. LOL Larry
  11. If that's the bolt that also holds the front of the tank in position this this is the part # - 91317-06035-00 The other screw is a plastic push in type. I couldn't find a part number for that one thou. You should be able to take the right side screw to a local hardware store & get a replacement Larry
  12. Ya I saw that too and was going to send Don a post/pm but had to run for a doc appointment. I'm sure Don will catch and fix that gremlin or is it one of Boomer's pygmies? Larry
  13. Well Annie we have spoken so rest easy on this topic now. You have plenty enough other things on your plate to think of between now and when you arrive. Larry
  14. I would agree with the others here. Once you have a handicap license plate, placard, or sticker then any and all states will reconize it. Even when crossing the borders between Canada & the US. I know in our experince going from state to state or into Canada we've never had any problems when parking in a handicaped parking space. Our cars has the handicap plate and sometimes on the bike I'll use a placard. Personally I think most leo's wouldn't bother you if you have a proper plate or whatever showing you qualify for parking in handicap spots. Larry
  15. Well that's a start at least and once you get that all important 2nd opinion you'll have a better idea of what needs to be done to get you back to where you don't have this problem anymore. Wishing nothing but the best to you. Larry
  16. Good thing she had her Guadian Angel with her today. Cars can be fixed or replaced. Much much harder to fix up or replace loved ones. Wishing her no futher problems as well. Larry
  17. Wow another B-day already??? Well we won't ask how many this makes. Have a nice day. Larry
  18. Mine get run day or night but I did install a relay & switch in the circuit so I can shut them off when parked and idling. My low beam is set up the same way so if both switches are off only the parking/running lights are on with the bike running. I run the spots even when I have high beam on as well. Usually this is only at night on a country road. Larry
  19. My vote is to leave it as is. Larry
  20. Ya spill the beans here now. Larry
  21. Hey Annie just bumping this up for ya since I was looking at the itinerary you posted a while back. Times drawing near and pretty soon it'll be a go for you & Alan. I'll see you guys at Don's and again cross paths at the International rally. Larry
  22. Congratulations on all 3 life changing events. Ya I would say you're on your way to being classified as an old fart. LOL But don't worry too much about that, just enjoy that growing family of yours. Larry
  23. Here ya go Ken http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?threadid=58370 Larry
  24. Sorry to hear of your mishap but at least the Hubby passed his tests. Congrats to him. Now you can start palling for your next test. Larry
  25. My bet would be a clogged up converter as well. An easy test would be to disconnect the converter in front and then do a test drive or run the engine to see how it preforms. If it runs normal then problem solved. Back when cars first started using catalyst converters people were clogging them up by running regular leaded gas instead of unleaded with much of the same results you are experiencing now. Larry
