  3. I have used Rubber Lubricant before to install carb boots very easily and not pinch any orings. You can get a lifetime supply of bead-lubricant/rubber lubricant XTRA-SLIK from Oreillys for $12.00 gallon. This stuff is slipperier than gorilla snot mixed with owl S%$!. The good part is after a while it dries out and helps to seal whatever rubber part (tires, carb boots, etc) you were trying to install.
  4. The 'Busa is too bent over for old fat guys to ride very long... Someting in a "Sit up and Beg" style is easier. That is a fact. I do like a water cooled shaft drive V-4 better than an aircooled belt drive tour bike. Well, if they ask me I could tell them exactly what I would buy. Less Multistrada and more tour oriented, but keep the Watercooled V4 and add a shafty drive.
  5. I quoted ALL of this because you have it ALL correct! And...BTW, when I first read the article, you are right, the first thing I thought was ," Oh..Puc is gonna love this!" Peace Prosperity Health & Long Life To You!
  6. Texas is under the same order however, we can have alcohol delivered to our door along with our burritos.
  7. Does a sit-up-and-beg, touring-oriented bike like the Multistrada really need an 1,103cc V-4 that has already proven capable of pushing out well over 200 hp in the Panigale and Streetfighter? Of course not. Do we want such a thing anyway? Oh yes. Long live the V-4 https://www.cycleworld.com/story/bikes/ducati-multistrada-v4-spied-in-testing/
  8. Ohhh you are so right. I could spend a few hours here. Thanks! (The KM to MPH button is at the top of the TIRE section)
  9. Arf Arf Arf!!! This is the best! Thanks Puc!
  10. You're right. I was completely guessing on the rear cylinder deactivation part on the Yamaha. But, I'm sure it can retard timing and richen fuel even if it is not specifically mentioned.
  11. I am pretty sure the bike knows how hot it is running... just doesn't want you to know. Since it has rear cylinder deactivation, I bet it can also dial out timing when it thinks it is hot, and maybe even rich-en fuel mixture...
  12. Like our beloved V-4's. Although... I have been too lazy to actually use it.

  14. Batman runs Shinko 777 series tires on his new Bat-Bike If it is good enough for Batman, then the Shinko 777 is good enough for me.

  17. Good luck finding radials in 15" sizes. You will be running a belted bias tire in the end just to get the load ratings.
  18. For what it is worth, I no longer use T6 after 9-2018 because the formulation changed to a NO S-Series Rating JASO oil. https://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?138309-Quicksilver-Oil-10W-40-amp-20W-50-JASO-rated/page2 see post number 17 There are also two types of T6, 5W-40diesel and 5W-30Gas-Multivehicle. I stay away from both of them. https://rotella.shell.com/en_us/products/full-synthetic-and-blend-oil/t6-full-synthetic.html https://rotella.shell.com/en_us/products/full-synthetic-and-blend-oil/shell-rotella-t6-multi-vehicle-5w-30-full-synthetic-heavy-duty.html I have tried other oils and found that anything with a rating of SM-JASO or LOWER made my bike shift better. I live in Texas and it is usually hot here. I use 10W-40 oil.
  19. I think that a 131 cuin Harley would just burn you to a crisp in Texas...
  20. I believe it has hydro-ah-lic valves too....
  21. Yup do that. Yup do all that Yep Yep This engine has a throttle position sensor. Do not lug this engine. Don't shift into 5th until above 60mph. Keep the engine speed up in all other gears as well. See chart below. You lose ignition advance the slower the engine is turning with a wider throttle opening. Keeping the engine lightly loaded, spinning freely, and a light throttle hand will get you maximum mileage. I get about 35mpg when I ride like a sane person.
  22. If your clutch is slipping replace the spring at least. Here is a documented with receipts, low mpg, on a high speed trip, with bike running great. https://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?109912-How-far-have-you-driven-on-Reserve-Fuel
  23. Factory speakers: Max 25 watts nominal 12 watts @ 4 Ohms.
  24. Yeah... I use Sesame as well. It rocks.
  25. Q&A works great. You would not believe the business it runs/still is running . Q&A for Windows is unstable. Q&A 5.0 is unstable, most backends that use Q&A use Q&A 4.0. You presume too much about my DB selection. I also use Oracle 5.0, Paradox 4.X modified , and of course... that Microsoft thingy.
