  1. Git rid of the wire. It is only used with the half disk clutch plate, "spacer"????? The circular spring seat and the circular Belleville spring (marked with the word OUTSIDE on it) are only used with the half disk as well. Git rid of them also. Without the half clutch disk, spring seat, and Belleville spring, be prepaired to have full clutch engagement on the last 1/8" of lever travel. I tried this setup and went back with the half clutch disk, spring seat, and Belleville spring because I liked the way it drove better. No clutch slipping and I ain't no easy rider.
  2. Black bike with whitewalls is good! Green bike with whitewalls is bad.
  3. I like the Shinko's and they are still serving me well. See here: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?107652-Shinko-777-Tires
  4. I change my clutch fluid twice a year or so. See here http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?97279-Baking-Clutch-Fluid-Exhaust-Heat-Shield

Carrie Underwood could sing a phonebook to me and I would be happy. Miranda Lambert looks like a fun bad girl especially singing ZZTOP.
  6. Look at part #11 . Maybe an oring on it. Isn't sold separately. Take it out and see.
  7. Just for safety's sake, I'll start gasping around any known electricians just to let them know that I am still alive and no "resuscitation" efforts will be necessary. Will wear a belt and suspenders from now on, just to make sure.
  8. I got the @Skydoc kit and did not replace the half disk once was all said and done. I would say to do this when the bike comes off the showroom floor with zero miles on it.
  9. My thoughts are with you and yours.
  10. Puc is telling you the truth. No "mucking" whatsoever.
  11. Check your rear end..... you know... on the bike. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?95242-To-Lube-or-Not-to-Lube-That-is-the-question I have ridden through rain that puts car washes to shame. Don't blow water towards the air filters though.
  12. I am using Hyundai Long Life antifreeze. I get it for $12 gallon (concentrate) from dealer I am in cahoots with. Any good non-silicate (GREEN) antifreeze would be my choice. I would not use the dex-cool stuff, although some have, as it is a different chemistry than what your 2007 has been gargling on for a while now.
  13. Just gonna have to start taking things apart. Look behind fins to see if there is a trail. Check below water pump taletell and see if you have a drip. Check your rad cap. check hose connections. Full cold is upper line on the tank.
  14. Oil pressure is much higher at RPM than at idle. At idle you are barely looking at 6psi. Yeah, I know it sounds better, but I would not go below 950rpm.
  15. Your Honda 15410-MFJ-D01 is the same filter as a Yamaha 5GH-13440-30 (40 & 50) which is the same as the PL14459.... Meaning you can use your current Honda Filters on your Yamaha RSV

  17. High Refresh Rate: You want something with at least 120HZ native refresh. Beware that they will try to overadvertise with words like "Aquomotion", "Smooth Motion" and stuff like that which will be double the actual refresh rate . Native refresh @ 120HZ is the absolute minimum you should consider. HDMI with ARC: High definition multimedia interface with AUDIO RETURN CHANNEL. This lets you output from your TV to a: Soundbar, Audio System, Multimedia Reciever, with just one HDMI cable in Dolby, DTS, 7.1 channel resolution in digital. Optical "SPDIF" outputs are no longer good enough. The legs on these TV nowadays are set at the corners to save the manufacturer some money versus the stand that used to be in the middle of the TV. With the stand in the middle, you could get a big TV and not have to have furniture as wide as the TV that the TV could sit on. No more. Now your furniture has to be as wide as the TV or you must wall mount. This is just something to think about. High Speed HDMI high speed 60HZ input with HDMI version 2.0 and HDCP version 2.2: HDMI version 2.0 is faster and will accommodate the next generation blu-ray 4k players. HDCP, High Definition Content Protection version 2.2 will enable you to watch the content. These two items "future proof" your TV. Back Light Full Array dimming versus Edge Lit. Full Array puts the LEDs directly behind the picture and can dim out in individual blocks (up to 72 so far) for higher contract and no splotchy screen during complete black. Edge Lit = thinner TV with some capability for block dimming. my current favorite is the VIZIO "M" series TV available at Wal-mart, Best Buy, and Sams.
  18. Can you no longer snick through the gears because you have to lift your foot so far to upshift? When you change gears does your knee hit you in the face because the shift lever has so much throw? Check out your ball stud mounts on your shifter. They are just bradded on and will wear more, and have more play, once they become loose. Just a few millimeters of play at the ball studs will make your shifter have a few inches of play. Mine was either bad from the factory, or has worn (I tap down one more time just to make sure I am in FIRST when coming to a stop). Shifter pivot, a $50 part was replaced by dealer under warranty. Now all is well. Click for video of ball stud unbradded from bracket http://v4biker.tumblr.com/post/137722185652/ball-joint-loose
  19. Dumb question... Is the fuel gauge working at all and are you really low on fuel?
