  1. Here is an idea for the next big project for those RSVowners who want to be able to set their CRUISE SPEED greater than 80mph. Do what VICTORY MOTORCYCLES did and install a ROSTRA CRUISE CONTROL module for less than $200.00. A RSV already has the:On/Off Switch, Set/Resume Switch, Clutch Switch, Cancel Switch, Tach Signalfrom Coils, Speed Sensor Signal from Drive Tube. You could use your FACTORYCONTROLS and no one would be the wiser. This would be the perfect project for @Freebird next project on his brand new – already blinged out – RSV. Notice I am volunteering you. Shown below is the VICTORY MOTORCYCLES parts list. Item #20is the CRUISE CONTROL module and VICTORY MOTORCYCLES is kind enough to tell isthat it is a ROSTRA module. Here is an advertisement on AMAZON where you can get one forless than $200.00 ROSTRA is located at http://www.rostra.com/universal-aftermarket-cruise-control-by-rostra.php
  2. i did mine in neutral. see here http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?10518-Clutch-Upgrade
  3. yikes. at 1/4 oz per weight that would be around 5oz. I'd have them rebalance them and calibrate their machine.
  4. your clutch pak will rotate to any position if you are in neutral
  5. Shown as #20 here for a 2012 RSV is the same part and they look kinda the same. Bet they are. Shows availability at my dealer (any Yamaha dealer) for $26.00
  6. here is a good read from power-sonic http://www.power-sonic.com/images/powersonic/technical/1277751263_20100627-TechManual-Lo.pdf it will open a pdf
  7. On the other hand... I like being able to buy my oil and filters (that are better than Yamaha filters) at the same store where I am every week anyway buying twinkies, catfood, beer, and underwear. (Let that mental image soak in for awhile). I don't like having to make a special trip out to the motorcycle dealer to buy a high price inferior filter that could ultimately cost me $15,000 or $20,000 if I saw some new motor-toy on the floor that I liked on my way out with the Yamaha brand oil filter in my hand. (Costliest filter ever).
  8. my Honda commercial hrc216 and my echo srm3000 are 28 years old and still going strong. both used "commercially" at the first 4 years of their lives.
  9. I am having really good luck with this Purolator filter. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?101114-Purolator-PL14459-Oil-Filter
  10. Michelin seems to have some definite thoughts about it. http://motorcycle.michelinman.com/advice/faq/general-information-precautions That is why they are marked "tube type" and "tubeless". Bead angle and sealing capacity.

  12. Yes, the Yamaha oil filter is a pricy piece of junk, and not widely available like an aftermarket filter, and I cannot get one 7 days a week. See here http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?96009-Oil-Filter-Comparisons-Hey-I-m-no-Engineer
  13. You will lose about 8oz changing the filter. New filter I am using is shown below. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?101114-Purolator-PL14459-Oil-Filter

  15. Just georgous. You 3 were made for each other!
  16. Go to Oracle and do some reading. The first step is always the hardest. The stronger and more memory your host system has the better your virtual machines will work. For instance, without degrading my host at all, I allocated 1gb memory and 32gb harddrive to Windows3.1 guest. This is the fastest Windows 3.1 you have ever seen run. Period. Running Windows 7-32 bit guest I gave it 2gb memory and 150gb harddrive and turned on hardware VX. It runs just as fast as the host setup. I wouldn't try doing this with less than an Intel 5 series or AMD A6 computer with twice the memory available you want to dedicate to your guest operating systems and in no event less than 6gb memory total on the 64-bit host.
  17. Oh yeah... Oracle VirtualBox. Google it. You will like it. Running Windows 3.1 For Workgroups below.
  18. Yur headlight looks like it has rocks in it and the headlight divider looks funny. Is it just me?
  19. Do you still make these. I didn't see them in the ads....
  20. Vid... Try Oracle VM VirtualBox. You can run XP, Windows7, or even DOS if you want, in a Window, under Windows10.
