  1. Ok, your bike is on a lift. Is your swingarm free to move up and down? That is what you need is a little up-down movement on the swingarm. SAFELY jack up the back end of the bike, while on the lift, another inch or so to give you the clearance you need. Do you have a drop out plate on your lift for the rear wheel? Same thing. Grease all the joints while you are there by the way. Page 7-66 of the service manual avail on here will help you out.
  2. No bolt is missing. I like all that is synthetic. I use 80W-90. It will all be rated GL5-6
  3. In this video he says... "you can adjust how much WHEELIE CONTROL you want independently from traction control..." Oh lawdy... just hand me my checkbook already.
  4. Well thank you. I like her purty when she lifts her skirt up. Here is a not so purty shot.
  5. @cowpuc advises to inject carb cleaner through the drains and let em set for awhile before tearing carbs apart. Search his posts to find exact article.
  6. If there is an oil spot where you park your bike at the location of your swingarm joint your shock is junk. Crawl under your bike with a flashlight and look at the shock. Push up on the rubber bellows. If it is oily under there your shock is toast. Should be DRY under there.
  7. Oh puc... can't you see... this one is so simple. @Mad_Dog is blaming his bike kickstand dragging the ground on a failed shock... NOT on his wife gaining weight. That @Mad_Dog is a sharp one.... (read in his post that his wife is on the bike at the time. dunno how to quote it) Sure is what I would do....
  8. I thought I was the only one that knew anything about the LS2 helmets. I like the fit of them all. I think the Breaker (plastic in the middle) and the Vector (fiberglass on the right) are the bestest fitting and at least in the top ten quietest helmets I have ever owned. Thinking about getting a Citation Carbon if they will ever paint the thing white or a decent graphic.
  9. I would look on this site for the service manuals. Then I would lube and adjust throttle cables to spec and probably replace the vacuum line from the pump to the solenoid unit. I would also adjust solenoid/throttle cable at the solenoid unit as it made a world of difference on my bike. Instant cruise lock and rock solid speed set up and down hills.
  10. This is on a 2012 but yours should be the same. The location is NOT the clutch cover. The bolt location is the right angle gearbox cover on the left hand side, I would not use teflon tape in the thin-wall aluminum hole. The copper washer used by the factory will do just fine by itself. On the site glass is a line at the top. It should never be above that line when the bike is level. Your going to hope that the bypass located at the top of the twinkiw is not used very much as it will fill your airbox with oil making a real mess. Do not fill the bike with oil above the top line located on the site glass and you should not have that problem.
  11. Sad... We are with you and your family...
  12. True... they also usually have less tread. But, I am thinking that you are going to see some 777's in person shortly. I believe you will find them very sticky and surely much stickier than you have had on there previously.
  13. The Shinko 777 series tire for the RSV is 130MPH continuous rated. Is that fast enough? The RSV doesn't need V-rated (150mph) tires. The 777 series tires also have a higher load range than the 230 series. Just go to the website link I sent you for Shinko and check it out yourself....
  14. Shinko 777 tires are what you want for RSV. Talk to your local dealer and see if they will match online prices. All the online guys get them from the same distrubutor, as your dealer would. Search my name for Many Shinko articles in here. https://www.shinkotireusa.com/product/black-wall-sr777-sr777-hd-tire/211908

  18. Here is my V65 with all the goodies on it. The V65 Sabre was a rocket ship and at the time Honda's highest horsepower production motorcycle. And a smooth one at that. I could really get into an Aprilla RSV4... if it had a shaft.
  19. My best sanging voice... "I shot some arrows in the blue some for me and some for you.... cause I really like the Vfourrrrrrrr toooooooo" Good Good Good!!!
  20. 2019 Top Ten Most Powerful Motorcycles. Don't mean to spoil the ending but the top two for real are... V-4 powered. This video shows how viable and adaptable the V4 engine really is. One manufacturer even abandoned their old engine architecture to start anew with the V4. Enjoy....
  21. We all appreciate you and the help you have offered others through the years. I am sorry you had to get out of the heavy bikes due to medical. Yes, round is a shape and I will enjoy that one with you. I will now try to figure out how to send you a private message. Wish me success.
  22. Sometimes I have to read things a couple of times to get them. "go real fast real fast" is a neat way to put that.
  23. Exactly
  24. NO... Lifetime dental plan.... to wipe that smile off n your face!!!!! Arf Arf Arf Arf..... :smile5::smile5:
