I have used sea foam in the past and will again but I am now using non ethanol gas which was partly the cause my problem. Thanks for the help. I can get regular gas where I live but will have to use ethanol gas when on a trip.

Well first of all thanks for the help. My bike is fixed. Found the pilot jets about 1/2 stopped up also needed two throttle cables but the biggest thing I took it to a shop in Petersburg to get the work done and he recleaned the carbs repair the choke cable and did a great job when he sync the carbs. Bike now runs great Idle is right where it needs to be and most of all it comes back to idle like it should. If you have a problem in WV and you are close to Petersburg WV Tri County Yamaha is a really good shop. 304-257-4420 They do a great job $65 labor rate. Again thanks for all your all's help.

Thank to each of you the throttle cable has been checked and the mech said it was ok I do have a new cable if I need it I will check again. I am wonder if the pilot jets were ever cleaned if maybe they are stopped up Just from what I have read on here

When I take it for a ride the RPM will stick at about 3000 RPM this is when I only ride it about 5 miles does the same when I ride it longer.
