  1. Dan - not entirely sure but I think 1st gen and 2'nd gen Ventures may use different hardware. Best to ask what year it was on. [emoji1303]

    73 and counting.......
  3. Yep, that's what I said.....had other "priorities" (translation: wife made plans)
  4. Gotta ask Puc [emoji848] It sounds like you DID Baldwin today ??? Just a staff meeting or...........[emoji322][emoji322][emoji322]
  5. Thanks for the offer bongo but as I stated previously, I'm completely satisfied with the ride I now have. [emoji1303] If I were 10 years younger, I would probably invest in a "real" trike, probably a Hannigan conversion. As it is, you know what they say about an old dog and new tricks. [emoji3]
  6. @stanG - GREAT job on the video ! :happy34: Good seeing you again and hoping we meet again soon.
  7. It's rumored they put something funny in the hot dog relish..... The attached video of @cowpuc and @Drews kinda proves the point as they sure did get their "boogie" on ! Judge for yourselves........
  8. Well another of Pucster's GM&EM events in the book today. As usual, the event was a hit with a great jazz band, good company and GREAT hot dogs. A few pics of the festivities attached: cowpuc partying down to the music. puc and Drews getting it on. Tippy with Mrs. mirider. Puc and stanG. having a serious chat. Drews gassing up for the ride home.
  9. Geez rickard - Why not tell us how you really feel. Who's arguing, I was just trying to help......Like they say - Different strokes for different folks
  10. @rickardracing - I suspect your father-in-law's Voyager is not set up right. In a year of use and thousands of miles I have yet to lift a wheel off the ground in a turn. I am aware of the negative traits of an outrigger kit but I am entirely satisfied with mine. @cowpuc - Nice write up on your thoughts and comparisons. If you think about it, the Voyager has IRS in effect as each wheel is allowed to float independent of the other and, if the pre-load is adjusted properly, will maintain proper contact with the road whether uneven surfaces or in a turn.
  11. OK all you members who said they couldn't make it on a week-day due to a work schedule, here's your shot. @cowpuc has heard your wishes and put together a saturday event for all to enjoy. Still amazed at the hours of planning and organization that man puts into these MG&EM events. Let's hope for a record turnout on this one.
  12. This is how we roll......Have taken several long trips with trailer fully loaded and as others have said, don't even know it's back there. I have an HF Tag-Along trailer which is about 150# empty. We load it up when we travel but have never weighed it loaded so can't comment on how much we're hauling, probably at least 200# including a small cooler, luggage, tools, etc.. I just know it works for us.
  13. Looking forward to our next gathering as well......
  14. Rest assured - there will be many more of these events down the road. Looking forward to meeting you at one......
  15. You know, I don't think anybody took any pics today [emoji848] That's a first for these events [emoji79] I was gonna do some filming on our ride, but too busy dodging seed shells [emoji1]
  16. @cowpuc - once again you outdid yourself on the hot dogs and entertainment at your latest MG&Em event today. :cool10: Even with such short notice, you did manage to attract a couple VR varmits and the after dinner ride was great. Looking forward to the next one and with a little more notice, maybe a few more varmits will show up. Also, thanks again for the help with the carb tune on Big Mac, she's never run better.
  17. They do look identical Condor but I was told I have the Standard kit with optional fender shields and lights. One of the best things I've ever done....
  18. As Condor stated, the "B" size is correct for both Gen I & II Ventures but the mounting hardware will be different. I lucked out with mine and got a "demo" unit that was installed on a Harley the dealer owned and saved substantially, but he had to order mounting hardware for my RSV. Not sure how much the hardware cost as I was given a package price installed. I see used units in this area going for around $2K.
  19. Born and lived my entire life in Michigan (mi) and ride every chance I can get.......hence mirider [emoji1303]
  20. Wow @cowpuc, just finished reading thru this thread and discovered your recent misadventures with your medical status. Sorry to hear you are still fighting off various maladies and hope you get back to the old normal self soon.....them hot dog events and are a waiting. Infinitely better to take a header planting flowers than riding Tweeks II however.
  21. I've had a Voyager kit installed on my RSV for a year now and don't really think the rake kit is a must. The steering takes some effort but you get used to it with the push-pull method and it only takes a lot of effort on a real sharp turn. There are those on the forum who will tell you it's not a real trike, and it isn't, but for the expenditure of about 1/5 the cost of a real trike kit, it does the job for me.
  22. And a good time was had by all.........
  23. Likewise Drews, got home about 4:45 with sunburned arms. Great to meet up again with you, @Carbon_One, @bluestar99 @cowpuc, and finally meeting @ragtop69gs. Hope to do it again real soon. The hot dogs were great and "Elvis" put on a good show.
  24. Will try to hit Baldwin about that time tomorrow.....look for the black and tan RSV with "training wheels" sitting by the road. If we miss ya, I know where it is. Gonna be a :scorched:day !
  25. Yeah Fool, I see your point. Our grandson moved to Beloit recently and when we visit later this summer we definitely are going by Lake Express. When he was in central Wisconsin last year, the Ludington ferry worked out fine. Since I don't ever get up at 3am for anything anymore, I will stick to missing that hassle around Chi-town. PUC - You crack me up........
