  1. Congrats!
  2. Hey Jeff, you will have my prayers and best wishes! Once you have a 'good' heart, will you stop with all this nasty 'cold' hearted stuff you do every winter?
  3. Hey I remember checking out the tag-along with the backwards box! I wondered if it was intentional or not, makes sense why you did it.
  4. Yes, thanks. I already repacked the bearings, switched to LED lights, put eyebolts in place of the four mounting bolts, rubber hose on the leaf spring slider bolt, and shimmed the coupler. Going on a trip soon, so I will probably mount the spare underneath and add some red/white reflector tape around the trailer, but I probably won't have time to come up with a small cooler rack. I put about 40 miles on two-up towing the trailer and with two of my bags of construction tools in the trailer for weight. Pulled real nice. "Hardly knew it was there" as many have said. I've seen it stated that the trailer is only rated for 55mph and some have thought it is due to the small tires. The tires that came on mine are "N" rated which is 87mph.
  5. New carbon_one hitch and tag along trailer!
  6. Glad you are OK Don! (And thanks for MD!! But, it doesn't always rain, does it??) (see the guy is happy even tho it rained!)
  7. A win for the gear!
  8. I took only a few pics. Here is my little slice of the beautiful Nelson Acres Campground: Here are a few bikes of some of the early arrivals on Friday. A selfie with me, John (Adventurer08) and Sandy in the gazebo during lunch. Here is the Michigan Rain Riders gang gearing up under a hotel canopy before the wet ride home on Saturday. From left to right are John, Sandy, Randy (ricardracing), Scott (Cowpuc), and Jay (ragtop69gs) I had a good time, met some great folks, safely endured an adVENTURE-ous ride home, and looking forward to next year but better yet hooking up with some of my new friends for some rides this year, too!
  9. Well thank God the last of my riding group has made it home safely! Now that I know you made it, I will go to bed!
  10. Wow Randy, you too? I came in the door and said HI then asked for pizza! Glad all you guys (and Gal) are home safe so far. Say prayers for Puc he's got a long way to go in the cold/wet/dark!
  11. Home at 9:20. Glad I had a spare pair of dry gloves to switch over to for the last 30 mins!
  12. Hey Cha!!
  13. Ready???:rotfl: And now I've got to find the fake eyeball inserts for my glasses that make it look like you are awake during a long speech!
  14. Is this the one where they steal your kidney?
  15. Sorry, bro! Dogs are great, almost everyone should have one.

    Rain bibs?

Well I guess I'll have to be careful or end up returning them; I ordered them this morning from Amazon cuz the $ was good and so I could get them Thursday. Going to MD rain or shine!
  17. Hey! I'm trying to work over here! All this awesomeness is very distracting!
  18. So I have a Joe Rocket mesh jacket with a removable rain liner. I'm thinking these Frogg Togg rain bibs might be a better choice than just rain pants? That way there won't be a middle zone open where rain could get between the jacket and pants? Any drawbacks or experience with these? Price is good, too. (some reason Large is cheaper than Medium!) http://www.amazon.com/Frogg-Toggs-Advantage-Black-Medium/dp/B006ZBPNKU/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1432607829&sr=8-6&keywords=frogg+toggs+rain+gear+pants#Ask
  19. Thanks for posting this advice! No sense of everyone having to learn stuff like this by trial and error.
  20. Winner! One of my top entertaining flics! "Welcome to Earth!"
  21. It could be had for $200, but I am not going to bite right now....it would need leaf springs, fenders, lights, a spare tire, and a lid or some sort of top. It was hand built by a real craftsman, though. Very sturdy and quite light. (all aluminum except for the coupler, removable cedar wood sides, and axle) It even has a tilt/dump hinge. And yes, it was used behind a garden tractor.
  22. Yay! I was waiting to see if you wanted to join them too before I committed us. I'll still meet up with you locally then ride down to exit 15 if ya wanna.:biker:
  23. Do you look like this with all them lights? (Bonus points to first one who knows where the pic is from)
  24. Yeah, that's where I was going to start. Take the two screws out of the switch control module on the handlebar, and see what's inside. The parts breakdown only shows the whole assembly, not what's inside. I'm holding off on the fairing until I have time to take it apart, check wire connections, install passing lamps, and install new windshield all at one time. (unless the new windshield comes in before MD, then I might just slap it in before the trip to Oberlin. And yup, been putting dielectric on things I fiddle with.)
