  1. KiteSquid has a great way of doing it without money changing hands. Check here http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=24973 This way, the sender pays for shipping fees and everyone gets to watch ONCE. I don't have anything to share but would be very interrested in watching the "ride like a pro" series. Cheers
  2. This is awesome offer. I would be happy to try it. I have been thinking of trying it.Tx for the offer
  3. LOL....never thought of that. I guess there are still some cages here also with red lens on turn signal. I was just too focused on bike and never thought of 4 wheeled vehicles. Cheers
  4. The one I posted has a removable cord......That is the one I own.
  5. Thanks Goose for this heads up. It would be bright enough it it was pointing directly in the lens but since it points upwards, I feel it is not quite bright enough. As a brake light it is very good and bright. I also have a 15" LED bar under the trunk which is very bright as well. I am also looking at getting a replacement panel for the turn signal that will act as Tail/Brake/turn signal all in one. This fills the whole cavity of the turn signal. Thanks for this info.....but red turn signal lenses!!!!! isn't that illegal? Good point also though. Thanks also to hale374 for the link. Cheers
  6. Page finally loaded in spite of the FireWall So no price change. Cheers
  7. Where could I get one of those? I have a new LED spinner tail light but it is red and doesn't show very well with the red lens. I was thinking of replacing it with a clear one. Thanks
  8. I got mine from http://www.sierra-mc.com/categories.asp Good service and fast shipping. I can't connect to the site at work behind a firewall but last time I checked the price was still the same.
  9. Next time it dies, take advantage of the Road Side Assistance and the warranty. They will come and pick it up and take it to the shop. If it won't start at that time, it would be the best time for them to get it and troubleshoot it.
  10. Here is a chrome stebel http://www.cyclemaxohio.com/inc/sdetail/32712 This is the one I am getting.
  11. The BuddyRich cable allows you to use the blue tooth phone paired to the Zumo with existing wired Headset. The only other way would be to get a blue tooth Headset and that would be way more then the $40 ish for the BuddyRich cable. Those who have it love it.
  12. I have been thinking about getting one. I guess you just made up my mind for me. Glad it worked out well for you.
  13. That is the exact same I use on my 3/4 helmet and it reaches fine. Of course, different helmet could fit differently but for mine it is great with some room to spare. I just love mine and for $59.99, you just can't go wrong. I adjusted the ear piece so they sit closer and more centered to the ear and the sound quality has greatly improved. I don't mind listening to music in the headset now, even for fairly long periods of time. I am sure you will enjoy it.
  14. I picked up one of these for mine. Works great. Cheers
  15. Ventureprof already beat me to it while I was searching for it. Sorry
  16. I found the Tech Article but it is from another site. Kudos to Ventureprof for this. 'Fix for missing rear PTT button" I guess I didn't loctite mine enough because the passenger PTT button worked itself off somewhere between Spearfish and Sioux Falls. Here's a $1.12 fix that required one stop at an ACE hardware: #2 round-head screw (3/8 inch long). This is an SAE screw, not metric (Clarion sub-assembly?). ! I think the thread is a 52 or 56 (can't remember - but ACE carries only one thread in a #2 screw). 2 #2 washers and a nut (from the same bin). (All of the above came from a drawer labeled 'subminiature machine screws'.) In another bin you can find a black screw cap for a #4 screw, and a clear 'base' for a #4 round screw (not the one for a countersunk or 'recessed' screw). PIC#1 You slip the screw into this base (washer on each side) and secure it with the nut (lock those threads with something!!!). Screw this assembly into the bike until it snugs (lock those threads with something!!!), and snap the black plastic cap onto the clear base. The button is a really tight fit on the base, so don't stop until you hear/feel it really snap into place. PIC#2, 3 and 4
  17. As stated by divey, try the warranty if you are still covered. If not, I am sure I saw a tech article on a cheap way of replacing it C/W part number and where to get them. If I can find it again, I will post it. Cheers
  18. Lately I have done pretty close to 40 mpg but that is riding solo at 60 to 65 mph and no rabbit start/stop. I also started using acetone in my gas. That seemed to improve my mileage some. Next I will use some sea foam and see if that helps any.
  19. All I can say is WoW. Looks really good. I am a big fan of Black/Yellow, this certainly makes me like it even more.
  20. I would guess you are talking about the front tire? I am looking at venoms at my next tire change. Nice to know what I can be looking forward to.
  21. Tx Buddy. I was going to order one but I guess I'll wait until I have a phone that will work with it. Cheers
  22. I also have the Baron 1 1/2" risers on my '06 midnight. Easy install however, I did have to re-route the cables. In a hard right turn, the cables were just too tight and pulling. It only took a few minutes to re-route them. All is now well. I also lowered the front end but not because of the risers. Only because I am a bit vertically challenged and couldn't/wouldn't use the leveling kit which raise the rear of the bike. I prefered lowering the front end instead. I have the shrome ignition switch cover on my RSV and it touches and slightly marred it but it is no worse then the stock one I had before. It touches about the same and will not affect the turning radius of the bike. Of course, different bike.....different experience. Cheers
  23. I am just a bit confused on the use of this cable. Is this strictly so one can make a phone call using a bluetooth phone? Or does it have another use? I don't have a bluetooth phone and was wondering if it would be of any use to me to get one of those cable. Thanks
  24. Channel 29 but also 1 for truckers and such. When are you coming through New-Brunswick?
  25. I also have a height issue. I lowered the seat by 1 1/2" and added a gel pad to compensate the loss of foam. This took care of my reach to the ground. Then I lowered the front end using the article in the tech help. I lowered it by 1 1/8" and the handling is fantastic now. Total cost: Seat and gel pad = $250 Lowering front = Free thanks to this great site Well worth both mods. Cheers
