  1. steve, i have run avon venoms on the front for many years. no noise, good mileage, and traction. i switched to an avon rear tire in june but after 15,000 i have ordered a new dunlop touring elite II because of a slight whine i have with the avon rear. glad to hear you had a nice trip. jim

  3. have not filed my flight plan yet. leaving jacksonville monday am. headed for wichita. planning on going north thru georgia, carolinas,and tennessee. would like to go thru vogel and cherohalla skyway. looking for a scenic route north or west from let's say knoxville. two lane only (no dirt). randy,lewis,any help on eating places , campgrounds would be greatly appreciated. thanks, jim

  5. haven't tried that yet. but i know if you don't put the plug back in the fill hole on a goldwing you will ruin a new pair of levis in less than two blocks. jim

  12. my problem was caused by the starter switch not making the proper contact. when the starter button is depressed the lights go out. when it is released the lights come back on. mine were not. a flick of the starter button, they were back on. it still happens from time to time. jim
