  8. gary, i took a trip to alaska in '96 on my bike. took the marine highway from prince rupert bc. to haynes, alaska then rode north to fairbanks and pionts beyond. returned via the alcan to vancover and down the west coast. the ferry was a very interesting part of that trip. here is a link to the ferry info http://www.dot.state.ak.us/amhs/ and pm me if you need any particulars about the trip. jim

  17. i have owned two pairs of hd boots in the past 15 yrs. bought them when i rode a harley. i found the first pair to be so comfortable there was no second guessing what the next pair would be. and after wearing these boots almost daily for both working and riding they are getting kinda ugly looking. so this morning i ordered my third pair of harley boots, you know for church and weddings and stuff. jim

  20. at 12,000 i was in the middle of the ocala national forest headed south out of jacksonville and couldn't find a dealer. and yes, a burn out was the last thing i did before i replaced the tire. jim
