HELP with Air Wings
Kc9ojn replied to Kc9ojn's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
The guy I got the bike from spent alot of time on it, lots of custom pinstriping and such as well as some things like this that I have not seen on the 1Gs, this being my 2nd one I have loved them for a long time. But yes I may buy 2 sets of the lower. The way I broke this one was a real V8 moment -

HELP with Air Wings

Nope there the first I called. -
Well I broke one of my air Wings:bang head: and can't find the company that made them. I searched the net and found a company but when I got to describing what I had they said Nope not us. So I am going to reach out to the smartyest Guys I know. I glued it for now but man I want to get one that matches the other side. The uper wings have the V4 logo on them. <!--url{0}--><img src=[/img] <a href=http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o190/techee28714/20150318_145052.jpg' alt='20150318_145052.jpg'>

Lol as I did not know how much I would use a cam I was thinking a $15 score was existing. I know there are waves and such. But again it was 15 bucks. And now I am looking to go with a higher frame rate and some shielding.

Du oh Ya he did say 86, model change was 85 if I remember. I also have a set of carbs on my 88 parts bike. There in better shape but still will need work. I am not 100 % I want to let them go but I hate so see a loved gen 1 sitting.

I have a set off my 84 I may be willing to part with. They will need some work there not in bolt on condition.

Well I got my beautiful 88 at the end of the last season so I did not have time to wrench on her much. I limped around knowing she could run much stronger then she was. I have an 84 in the shed.( I will be selling this spring sometime if anyone needs parts) My 84 could pull the front end up if I was not careful, I have owned it for about 15 years so I know what these old girls can do. I had some time today, so I dug out my Sync Pro I got for Christmas. Hooked it up and wow the thing was way out of line. It also had the Mod that hooks the vac lines together (I don't remember what that's called). Well what I discovered was number 2 was so out of line it probably could have sucked a golf ball through a garden hose. With the mod, the #1 and #2 vac lines were hooked together with the line that goes to the computer. It was pulling so hard it fowled out the plug in cylinder 1. So I replaced the plug ( replaced all them back in Oct.) and synced up the carbs and WOW that's what I remember.

I don't want to over step by answering so I am sorry if I am but the spirit of the "game" is to have fun and get out and ride. So I am sure as long as it is a motorcycle of some flavor your welcome to join the fun.

So I have rode my scoot a couple of times this week and it was in the 20's, Had the carhart bottoms on and it was a nice ride. The temp gauge came up to operating temp just fine. It got almost to 50 today so of course I jumped on the scoot and with no kids and wife was gone I figured I would go get some shopping done. So got out there avoided the mad cars and shoppers at the mall and on the way back home the temp gauge didn't move. Not a thing bike ran fine but no gauge. So I got on the site and looked some things up and as I was checking for wires popping off and grounding the gauge and it jumped to the top. I left the bike running and hmm it came up to op temp just fine. All I can Fig is that it was cold enough to keep it down on the scale as I was riding home but man it was nice. I will have to say Christmas shopping is almost fun when you can ride. Just stay out of the way of the 4 wheelers, There Nuts!!!!!!
