Nice work Don, keep it up people are talking! Thanks.
  2. That makes sense. A compressor would be nice though.
  3. Our deepest sympathies and prayers go out to you and your family! Take care Puc.
  4. there are several listed for the 2nd gen ventures, I just thought it may be nice to have something "on board" to inflate suspension and tires if needed.
  5. Will lowering the front fork tubes one inch (in the triple tree) with OEM links in the rear achieve the same results as not lowering the forks and adding leveling links? I would like to maintain or lower the seat height. Seems to me the geometry is equal with the benefit of a lower CG.
  6. I was perusing ebay for venture stuff and came across several RSV air compressors. I don't think my bike has one so is this an option and what is it for? http://www.ebay.com/itm/00-Yamaha-Royal-Star-Venture-XVZ1300-AIR-COMPRESSOR-/130919530138?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e7b697e9a&vxp=mtr
  7. Hope you both heal well!

  9. I have done this with coke instead of water, the acid helps "eat" the rust but the real trick is to keep it waxed to hold the rust back.
  10. I was getting ready to be a supporting member, should I wait for the upgrade or will it not make any difference?
  11. Wish you well and heal well!
  12. What you say is spot on Puc, but if someone fires up their loud bike or car or lawn mower 4:30 every morning in the cul-de-sac they will have to deal with the neighbors but if enough disrespectful riders affect cages the cager will form a bad opinion of all riders thus the cager may not give respectful riders the leeway that they deserve due to the cagers negative experiences. That is the way I read it anyway.
  13. The way I read it he was speaking of drinking and riding and acting juvenile while on the bike thus tarnishing our reputation.
  14. I would be interested in any parts you will not use. Checked the butterfly valves, easy to see.
  15. I think you should be able to see the butterfly valve move through the inlet. I will look at the ones I have and get back to you if I'm wrong. I will document what I come up with for adjusters. I would rather have an actuator though, want to sell yours?
  16. Looking good Don. I just picked up a used set of peacmakers for the RSV, mufflers and tips olny so I need to devise some sort of manual actuation system. The fishtail samsons look and sound great but there are times I just want to stuff a sock in em.
  17. We have used the rain gear as windbreakers, maybe throw a sweat shirt in the bag for extra warmth. We are already lugging them around so it doesn't really take up extra space.
  18. Check the link below, I have used this unit for several years and still working. https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/strobe-controllers/brake-light-strobe-module/195/
