I got the IRS call. Caller ID showed number was from Seattle Washington. I told the guy to please hold a minute. I came back on the line and told him I had an agent with the IRS on the other line so please go ahead and tell me why he was calling. He told me, "you are a smart ass." I said you are a sand n****r. He hung up. I reported the call to the Treasury Department, but doubt they will do anything.

Yes it is sugar. Carbs turn to sugar. Eating fruit is loaded with sugar. It doesn't matter where it comes from, we are killing ourselves with an overload of sugar.

How much do you pay for FULL coverage insurance on your 2nd gen?
ediddy replied to VentureFar's topic in Watering Hole
As you see from this post, every state is different. The company that is the lowest cost in one state may be the highest in another state. All these post about what someone is paying is useless unless it is in your state. -
There have been many medical studies that show people who died from a heart attack or stroke died because of inflammation of the cardiovascular system, not cholesterol. What causes inflammation? SUGAR. Keep eating ice cream, cake, candy, drinking sodas and we will be reading about your obituary on a post to this site. I'm not trying to be ugly but just giving you the facts. It's nothing to be taken lightly.

Hey Mike G, Nationwide/Victoria didn't sell to Titan they just changed the name of Victoria to Titan. Nationwide sells insurance through Independent Agents through Titan. A Nationwide agent is what we call in the insurance industry a "captive agent." They can't sell with any company other than Nationwide. -

Hey rickardracing, In my 42 years as an insurance agent I have never seen a homeowner policy that would cover your motorcycle. Every homeowner policy I have seen excludes any coverage for motor vehicles licensed for road use. If they were covered under a homeowner there would be no need for a motorcycle policy. If someone with AAA told you it is covered you need to request a letter from the claims department confirming your cycle would be covered under your homeowner. Also the majority of the cost in a cycle policy is the collision coverage. If you had the bike in storage it would make more sense to delete the collision, since you are not going to be riding, and keep the comprehensive coverage. -

This rate is about what you can expect. It's not out of line. -
A guy called yesterday to insure an Elio. He has already made a deposit on one. I had never heard of an elio but you can go to eliomotors.com and read about it. As of now, I can't find an insurance company that will insure one of these. Progressive has the rates and coverage set up but they haven't gotten approval to insure yet. On of the unanswered questions is do you have to wear a helmet and/or have a motorcycle license. Someone that checked into the Georgia law says they don't think you do but the law is vague. I wouldn't want one of these but evidently a lot of people do.

I don't believe anything yamaha says. I don't think they know what they want. I will never buy another yamaha. Their customer service used to be great but not now. If you call yamaha's customer service line you can't talk to anyone that knows what they are doing.

Yesterday a dealer called me for an insurance quote for a prospective customer. An 18 year old single male with an at fault accident on his record. This is the crazy part. The 18 year old was wanting to buy a Yamaha R1. Why would an 18 year old want a 1000 cc crotch rocket. He would probably be dead in two months. When he got the rate it probably changed his mind. Nationwide had given him a quote of $11,000 per year but I was able to save him some money. My rate was only $10,700 per year. Then his dad wanted to know if he could put the bike in his name and not list his son as a driver. I wanted to say are you crazy. Why would anyone in their right mind want to do that. Instead the dad ought to be telling the son that he needs to get a less powerful bike. If I would insured the bike and not list the son, when the bike was totaled and the insurance company denied the claim the father would be wanting to sue me and cuss that mean insurance company.

Trouble starting my RSV 07
ediddy replied to retiredgolfer's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Bike has been at dealer for over two weeks. Service manager is going to send the new radio back to clarion for them to check it out. They don't know why bike won't start with radio connected. -

There must be a problem with the 07's. My friend has an 07 and I posted about his problem. Bike wouldn't start, dealer put new selenoid on, then radio wouldn't work. Dealer replaced radio, $1,400. Bike worked fine for a few days and now it won't start unless you disconnect the radio. Dealer has had bike for 2 weeks. The heat light and temp light come on when it won't start. -
Rode my bike to work this morning and was forty miles from work. After I passed all the gas stations my gas light came on and I still had 30 miles to go. After the light is on for a while my bike will sputter and I switch to reserve which is supposed to have .9 gal left. This morning the bike never sputtered, it just kept running. I was holding my breath when I pulled into a gas station. My bike held 5.377 gals. I don't think I have ever been that low.
