  1. Just curious if anyone is going to the Shine in Lapine bike rally here in Lapine Alabama. It's a little rough but usually pretty fun! Go search shine in Lapine and it will pull up their website. Warning graphic nude photos!
  2. Don't let my post scare you off!! I'm just a super paranoid person about my bikes. I want them to never break and last forever! Lol!
  3. Yep just started doing that. I turn it of about a mile from home and she cuts off about 10 seconds after I pull into the garage.
  4. I posted about having a hint of gas in my oil and talked about how I cleaned the carbs. My bike also has 31k on it. If it is my thread you are referring to just know when I bought the bike it had been sitting out in a barn for a very very long time. So I am just going through the motions of getting it back to tip top shape. My Harley was an 03 and had a carb. I never had to pull it. Then again I rode it at least once a week. I prefer carbureted bikes as they are easier to work on to me.
  5. Guys these answers are great! Another thing I love about riding is packing the bags and taking the wife for a "romantic" get away.
  6. During my oil change I had a hint of gas during changing. They oil wasn't watery and still seemed to have plenty of slippery goodness. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. About 6 months ago the carbs were cleaned thoroughly but I didn't replace the needle seats or the needles. Float levels looked good? Wondering if I need to pull the carbs and check the float levels and needle seats again.
  7. Just seeing how different riders enjoy their ride. I think the thing I love most about riding is trying to get the machine to the utmost exceptional condition and then test riding. I love wrenching as much as riding!!
  8. Thank you!!
  9. Anybody know where the negative cable is grounded to the frame on the 2nd gens? Thanks
  10. I'm 5'10" tall and I'm at 235. Over the last year I have lost over 70-75lbs. I was weighing a whopping 306lbs. I am a very large framed guy. Now everyone tells me I look like a body builder. Lol who would have thought there was muscle under that insulation! Keys to eating healthy and weight loss 5-small meals throughout the day! Good fruits! Low fat grilled meats like fish and chicken breast Exercise!
  11. Well I'm in Alabama as well and I have been to barber for the pediatric brain tumor ride. Wonderful charity and ride. If you guys get a chance to ride south to Troy let me know.
  12. Man those are some good looking bikes. I almost bought a road glide but went with the more dependable longer lasting less maintenance better looking lower cost Venture! All jokes aside I will own a road glide one day to keep the miles off my Venture.
  13. Eusa1 is a great guy! He has helped me out countless times!! Not only is he very talented with the diamond cut work but he is a jam up mechanic as well! Fins are in my future as well!!
  14. Just read a thread about the passing lights. I have a hid headlight. Where did the led passing lights come from? I'm guessing they are 4" or 4-1/2"
  15. Just seeing what your single best purchase for your 2nd gen has been. No you can't say the bike or the babe sitting behind you! Mine is probably the Hagon shock.

  18. It's the ground contact or horn switch. I plugged the spade to the + then ran a separate ground to the battery's - post. Horn worked just fine.
  19. Ground is at .52vDC Power to horn was 10.52VDC and battery was 12.52VDC
