Cheeze, just finished up one B**chy TOUGH day, that happily ended up in successful fashion. But... THEN we read about next week's Forecast out West of us! Which means it's coming OUR way, shortly thereafter. IF there is a 'Thereafter'! Think we'll just stay in bed - wake us when it's over.~ Rgds, WRIDR.

Most of this stuff is beyond our 'expertise' but... IF there'll still be a Tank involved, we've never been happier than after we installed an 80 gallon Uber-Tank. Yeah, initial higher cost, but Lordy the Peace of Mind is priceless. Rgds, WRIDR

...from one of the more recognizable Drone Vloggers, a guy named "Captain Drone". Now lissen; this Dude is a bit of a 'Character' (stated charitably). The intent with this clip is to give we Canucks an overview on what the new regs will mean to the average Cdn Drone Flyer. In our opinion, he does a decent job covering the most immediate issues... despite mannerisms which you may find a bit unusual. We can't vouch for his legitimacy, but in fairness he's been around for a 'long time' in Drone Time, lives in the Nation's Capitol, and seems to be fairly well connected with The Industry, plus some of the Political Animals. Oh man, we FEEL for you on THIS ONE! We've lived in the Boonies for the last 23 years, loving every minute of it. With both of us in our mid-70s, and some serious Health Issues complicating things, our Kids began pressuring us to move 'into Town', and 'reachable' in a hurry if need be. (It takes 20 minutes for our closest Kids to get here in an emergency.) So we 'Caved', and started the process. Got as far as 'Ready to Sign' for a luvly home 2 miles away from 'Help If Needed'. Realtor pulls out an 'OPTIONS' binder similar in size to the NYC phone directory, and says: "What color faucets do you want in the Mud Room?" See where this is/was going? That's as far as he got. A year later, we're still sitting 20 minutes away from Emergency Help, in our Happy Home. As for The Kids; as soon as the question: "Who's helping clean out the Attic?" popped up, they quickly realized the best option was to Ride it Out right where we are. Hope you aren't facing the same sort of decision!~ Rgds, WRIDR

U.S. Folks familiar with what happened when Them That Can decided to licence and regulate our Guns will easily understand why we knee-jerked upon hearing this news tonight. It WILL cost us MONEY, and Restrictions will probably grow at a healthy rate. Perhaps our best hope is that They go overboard off the top, and the Industry Backlash forces Them to back off to some extent. Not sure the Industry is big enough, or adequately organized to accomplish this. We fully support sensible regulation. From past experience, we aren't holding our breath. Rgds, WRIDR

...our 6 pm News tonight revealed as of early June (June 9th?) Canadian Droners will be hit by a deluge of additional regulations, and restrictions. No time to assess yet, but we'd hazard a guess they'll pretty much align with current U.S. laws; including possession of a Licence - AFTER passing a Test, clearly id'd registration info placed on the Drone, etc. It had to come, but still a shock after the Freedom enjoyed to date. Welcome to 'The Club', Canadian Droners. (Sorry for The Hack, Don.) Rgds, WRIDR

DECKS!!! The First Call came in about three weeks after we signed off. That was 1990. If we started counting the 'Friends' who 'needed a LITTLE help building their New Deck, or reno'ing their Old Deck, we'd need an adding machine. Best advice: when you Retire... MOVE! FAR AWAY. We eventually did. Anybody need a buncha T-Shirts? Rgds, WRIDR

Man, ya gotta luvvit! Designer Clothing to the Max! Matching Color Ensemble: Jacket and Shovel; a new Norm has been set. Hurry up and shovel before the rest melts.~ Rgds, WRIDR.

Forgive us: in a perverse sorta way, this was a LOT better than it had any right to be. Your 'MAJOR Mishap' is History; without any significant damage to yourself, the bike (obviously loved) looks salvageable, PLUS there's plenty of time to set things right, and SERIOUSLY enjoy the entire 2019 Riding Season. Most important action required at this point: back in the Saddle, and RIDE!!~ By far not the least important: Congratulations on some very impressive Riding Skills, bringing that Bike to a stop in far better circumstances than could have been. Rgds, WRIDR

Geepers Don, not even a solid Dark Rum, like 'Pussers Navy'? Been around since the Brits began sailing Boats - every hand received a daily Dopple to keep their spirits up. In those days, you'd need a real healthy Dopple; accommodations being a bit 'sparse' - essentially a hammock and pail, not sure about a toothbrush.~ Rgds, WRIDR

Woe is me! (Which is what The Lone Ranger said to his new horse Isme). Rgds, WRIDR

well I miss placed my hammer. But I found my _____ __Suspenders! Which is a very comforting thing, with Winter Winds now creeping up to my B___. Rgds, WRIDR

Hey Pucster? What year is that 'Vintage Deere 172'?? We had one of those little Beauties back in the late '80s, but had to give it up to deal with our newly (then) acquired, uphill 900' driveway and Home in Prince Edward County, Eastern Ontario's best kept Secret. Nevertheless (HATE typing that word), it manfully tackled and defeated all 900 feet of that Monstuh Driveway... with only a front-mounted BLADE!!~ However, Once wuz Enuff for this Old Pharte.~ Rgds, WRIDR

With apologies for sneaking in on your American Thanksgiving, we have TONS of stuff to be thankful for. For starters, we are thankful just to BE HERE, having been diagnosed back in 2006 at age 64 with terminal Prostate Cancer. We were given five years tops to live. That's been an adventure all by itself, beginning with being the 'Poster Child' of "North American Clinical Trial PR78" thanks to an initial PSA of 12,697! 'Testosterone Blocker' treatment dropped that number back to nearly 0.0 several times. One 'Secret' to our 'success' is simply ignoring the B*gger, and we'd really appreciate no further discussion on the issue here. Back on topic: Over those years we've followed this Site almost from the Get-go, being an avid Biker with 20-odd two Wheelers on our roster, one at a time. And one of the things we're MOST thankful for is the daily distraction created by Don's on-going efforts with VentureRider.org. There are only two links we consistently check out each evening on the 'Puter. One is our local Fishing Forum: "Quintefishing.com", which has become quite famous in its own right thanks to The Bay of Quinte's awesome Walleye Population. The Other is You Guys. At 76 now, and hurting from Treatment Side Effects, we can't ride as much. BUT we do so vicariously EVERY night, thanks to Don and Fellow Riders on The Forum. Hope you Folks have a safe and happy Holiday Weekend. We're right there with you!~ Warmest Rgds, WRIDR

Heheheh...you Guys are something else! Migawd, even lured Administrator/Boss Man Don 'out of the closet'!! Keep it up; nice to have a 'Breather' every once in a while. Some absolutely beautiful work here; kudos to all. Personally, we're hiding in the Bushes, waiting for 'The Dronies' to pop back up. We KNOW you're out there. Rgds, WRIDR

One thing's for certain; they'd only do it once. Recovery from Road Rash takes months of pure agony, then more months. And no, we haven't.~ Rgds, WRIDR

Hey Don, have you decided where she sits for the Winter? We KNOW you have room, but wondered if 'the Right Place' has already been figured out? Basically we know Jack Schite about TTs, but the thought occurred it would be awfully nice if Shrink Wrapping could be done on something that large. For decades we carefully tarped our boats, but no matter how 'good' a job was done, Every Single Year we were out there in horrible conditions trying to put things back together. Once the Trigger was pulled, the Peace of Mind each time big winds came up was sooo sweet. Just sayin'. Regardless, we've spent a lotta hours returning to gaze in awe at your beautiful acquisition. Hope you have years and years of enjoyment, AND zero occurrences of dreaded "Two Footitis"!~ Envious regards, WRIDR

Heheheh... we LOVE you Guys! How many Forums, particularly amongst their Purists, would go absolutely NUTS over a frick'n 'Gun-jack' like this one? However, we seriously doubt there'll even be a murmur on ours. And you gotta love The Pucster, who darnsure doesn't need a Gun Safe. HE needs a Vault at a High Security Stronghold akin to Fort Knox! Thank Gawd he didn't NAME each weapon! Uh... Puc? You haven't, have ya?~ How many times have we seen Newcomers mention how awesome our Forum is, compared to other sites? Here's another perfect example why. Long live Don! Rgds, WRIDR

WOWZY WOW WOW WOW!! Prayers Up for all my/our Hurricane Michael riders!!!

The worst may be very well 'yet to come'. Next up - after power restored, and some degree of normalcy returns, are The Insurance Companies. Apologies for possibly offending any fellow Riders in that Industry, but they will be tightening their belts BIG TIME to attempt ANY degree of Cost Control with a storm that size. It will be quite some time before Victims get satisfaction for their Claims, and undoubtedly large numbers will be less than satisfied with the results. Claims on these things are IFFY at best. Even if a claimant receives compensation, rates for the following year(s) will climb significantly, based on personal experience. Rgds, WRIDR -
THAT is one absolutely awesome, head-snapping Scoot!! And... the gas tank is WHERE? Rgds, WRIDR

Ah, Man; the Dreaded 'Tree Climbing Tale'! FWIW: we have TWO of those T-Shirts, both times with running Chain Saw in hand. Fortunately we hung on to both saws, and let The Bod take the hit sliding down the Tree. Amazing how much skin gets lost during one of those adventures. Can't remember the one Tree's name; something like 'Shaggy Bark Hickory' - it was definitely the worst. Recovery is NOT quick. We probably won't be shooting for a Third T; now 75, with Missus promising Death as additional incentive. Rgds, WRIDR

Going to Colorado with an aching in my heart, on the Venture.

Disclaimer: offered despite a Time Lapse of 30 years or more. Hopefully others familiar with the area can correct us if wrong? From what we recall on Rides thru there, 'Cutting West' quickly sets you in some AWFULLY big hills - as in: The Rocky Mountains, or whatever they're called that far South. Think you'd likely find stuff more to your liking East of Denver. Regardless it's all gorgeous Turf, but... pretty rugged on the West side. Rgds, WRIDR -
Oh, yeah! Recently joined another Forum as a result of a new-found fascination with Droning. Signing up was virtually a necessity, due to our lack of knowledge on the Hobby. Low Level Droning is relatively new, and the best website is only a couple years old. So... on-line we go, and the FIRST link opened quickly turns into a *issing Match between two very active members (in good standing!), and kept getting nastier 'n nastier. We couldn't believe the Administrator(s) let it go, but they did. A few days later, in a 'soft' discussion on Public Relations (ie: Flying Over People), somebody made a sensible comment on the issue, and we chime in with: "In OUR opinion... etc." (Old habits die hard for elderly Editors; 'Royal We, or Our', being one.) Some guy immediately fires back with: "Which Group do YOU represent???" Sadly, we need all the info available, so need to stick with it. Thank you so much Don, for spoiling us rotten!~ Rgds, Wordpecker

Thanks MUCH for the guidance regarding the Map for Provinces/States visited! We're close; not sure it will appear yet, but the Provinces Map is created. Now only a matter of time while we stumble around with final fixins. Hopefully nobody gets deleted or renamed while we stumble - apologies in advance Don, and/or any others.~ Rgds, WRIDR

Okaaayyy... (thanks for the TERRIFIC Tip!), we made The Provinces Map, and saved it where we stuff stuff. Now... 1) Where the heck is that "Personal Signature" thing located (on our Profile page?) to add the map to it??? 2) Also; is there a 'North American' map so we can add those states too? Rgds, WRIDR
