  1. I really don't think you will have a problem but as stated keep a good watch on the tire pressure. You may also want to inflate the front shocks to max (7 psi) and the back shock 57 psi. It is very easy to do. Buy a GOOD "suspension" pump. Progressive suspension makes a good and accurate pump that won't let any air escape when removing it from the valve stem. I think the air in the shocks will really help with the added weight. Steve
  2. Lisa and I tried a couple of headsets and decided on the J&M. The boom on the J&M is more heavy than others we tried. They don't move around like thinner booms. The sound for the intercom was good and very little wind noise with the large wind sock on the interstate. When we first listened to music with the headset I found it horrible. It was tinny. I adjusted the treble way down and added more bass and the sound improved a great deal. I would purchase another J&M headset in a minute over any other headset we tried. Steve
  3. I "think" it is like SeaFoam. People use it for there boats but I have never heard of people using it for their bike. What do you need it for??
  4. Hey Brad, I will be going to bike night in Kitchener this Tuesday night. If you are available I will see you there. We park over on the far side of the lot. I will send you my cell number. If you are not coming give me a shout and I will run out your way when it is good for you. Thanks...Steve
  5. Anyone in the Guelph/Kitchener area with a headset available Sunday so I can set my mind at ease? I will buy the coffee. Name the time and place. Steve
  6. SD you may be right. Both MICs were broke when we purchased the IMC's. The dealer requested two more MICs. I wonder if they are not the right ones. I should meet with another Venture rider and let them plug in. I hope it is just the MICs. Everything else works fine. The roger beep on the CB, the hissing through the headsets when I turn the IC to full....just no sound coming from the MIC's. Seems odd that both don't work so it must be the wrong ones when they replaced them.
  7. Put the volume on the IC to 20 and still nothing. We can hear the radio, the CB, but the IC don't seem to work. 5 pin is correct?
  8. Running out to the garage to turn the volume to MAX. Be back in a minute.
  9. According to the owners book the talk button is only for the CB. I did try pushing it but still not hearing each other. When we do try and talk the music does "not" cut out. Should it?
  10. My wife and I finally got our headsets and here is what happened. Purchased IMC HS-G30 for the 07 RSMV 1. We can both hear the music in both speakers but we can't hear each other. 2. Volume is turned up for the units front and back on the intercom setting. 3. Are we not doing something wrong? We may need to meet with another venture rider in the area and let them plug into my bike to see if it is the headsets or the intercom. Any help is greatly appreciated....Steve
  11. Common battery myths: • Storing a battery on concrete will discharge it quicker- Long ago, when battery cases were made out of natural rubber, this was true. Now, however, battery cases are made of polypropylene or other modern materials that allow a battery to be stored anywhere. A battery’s rate of discharge is affected by its construction, its age, and the ambient temperature. The main issue with storing on concrete is that if the battery leaks, the concrete will be damaged. Steve
  12. This is a myth. Modern day batteries are "Not" drained by leaving them on the floor. Steve
  13. I use a tender and never had a problem with any of toys. If the battery is still under warranty I would have them replace it and not try to bring the old one back to life. Are you sure the tender is working given that this is a newer battery and is left on the tender? And why are the cells so low?
  14. I have been using Plexus for minor scratches and find it works great. I use it on my full face helmut (for my sportbike) and all scratches go bye bye. Steve
