    Hello pegscraper i used a gray prImer when i was doing the prep then when i painted it i used a light gray sealer before i put the paint on. the yellow went on frist becouse it would take a lot of yellow to cover the black. the yellow dose not cover very good. so you have to use a lot of coats to get it to cover real good. then after i put the yellow on i let it set over night. then i went to tapping up the yellow to put on the black. the stripes and yamaha on the trunk are painted. after the back went on i removed the tape and paper and clear coated it all. i used 3 coats of clear. i am glad yor like. it i went to the yamaha dealer tue after work and the salesman said he never saw a yellow one before i told him it was one of a kind he liked it also.     Hello to answer some questions the bike is a 1999 and yes that is a cobin seat and passanger back rest unfortantuly i did not get photos of the speaker upgreade i made it by hand with fiberglass filler and body filler i was not sure how it would turn out but while driving it today i can her the rear speakers now more then i could be for.     Hope for a fast recovery so you can get back riding i had a simaler thing happen to me last year but not with my rsv a freind has a hd and would not start so he asked if i would help him push start it after many trys no luck but as i was about to get on the rsv to get a trailer to put it on and my wife was getting on the back i felty faint next thing i knew i passed out and she talked me into going to hospital had i had two blocked arterys going to my hart and had stents put in i was feeling fine but had his hd not broke down i still may not have know i had a problem so get cked it is worth it kevin wisor rsv jax fl

    hi all i am about to have my 99rsv put back togeather this weekend after painting it before i put the wheels back on i want to put new greese on the splines and axels . what is the best or correct greese to use for this when it is back togeather i will post photos thank you kevin wisor 99 rsv jax fl

    hello all as you may know i just repainted my 99 rsv when i was doing the prep wprk to paint i modifde the reae speaker housing and put 5 1/4 " speakers in the back i am still reassembling the bike hope to hwve done this weekend in between the xmas decerting i will post phots when done now i do get better sound from the rear speakers but i will know more when i take it out for a test drive kevin wisor 99 rsv jax fl

    Hello all i will post photos when back togeather im also painting the wheels black i didnt think the gray wheels would look right i have the frt fender and fearting back on i am working my way to the back i also modafide the the rear speaker housing and will have 5 1/4 speakers in the rear didnt have time to modify the frt didnt look like much room for anything else there kevin wisor 1999 crsv jax fl

    Hello all i am in the middle of repainting my bike. This weekend i will have it all primed and water sanded to put paint on it. I will do that the folling weekend i will be going yellow and black and repainting the wheels black . I didnt think gray would go with the yellow and black then the long process of re assy i hope i remember how it gose back togeather. While its been apart i have a lot of accorys that were a wiring night mare i took them re wired them to a aftermarkit fuse box now the mess is gone when i am done i will post photos i am painting it myself i use to paint for a living but has been a while since i painted anything hope it turns out nice kevin wisor 1999 rsv jax fl

    Hello all last nignt i went to pull my frt rear wheels but was unble to get the bolts loose on the axels i will have to get a impact wreanch to brake them loose i just had new tires put on and thay must hve used one to put them on with is the somethin i should worry about being over tighten or not worry at i know i do not want them comming loose but i did not know if over tight would hurt any thing thank you for your thoughs on this kevin wisor 199 rsv jax fl
