The inventor of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle, Arthur Davidson, died and went to heaven. At the pearly gates, St. Peter told Arthur, "Since you've been such a good man and your motorcycles have changed the world, your reward is, you can hang out with anyone you want in Heaven." Arthur thought about this for a minute and then said, "I want to hang out with God." St. Peter took Arthur to the Throne Room and introduced him to God. God recognized Arthur and commented, "Okay, so you were the one who invented the Harley Davidson motorcycle?" Arthur said, "Yep, that's me." God said, "Well, what's the big deal in inventing something that's pretty unstable, makes noise and pollution and can't run without a road?" Arthur was apparently embarrassed, but finally he said, "Excuse me, but aren't you the inventor of woman?" God said, "Yes." "Well," said Arthur, "professional to professional, you have some major design flaws in your invention: 1. There's too much inconsistency in the front-end protrusions; 2. It chatters constantly at high speeds; 3. Most of the rear ends are too soft and wobble too much; 4. The intake is placed way too close to the exhaust; 5. And the maintenance costs are enormous!" "Hmmmmm, you have some good points there," replied God, "hold on." God went to His Celestial super computer, typed in some key words and waited for the results. The computer printed out a slip of paper and God read it. "Well, it may be true that my invention is flawed," God said to Arthur, "but according to these statistics, more men are riding my invention than yours."

Long hard 24 hrs,, my Dad passed away an hour ago,
kensattitude replied to cowpuc's topic in Watering Hole
I feel your pain. I lost my dad in 1972 and my mom in 2012. I don't know how close you were to your dad, but there is always a void. I have been with out him twice as long as I was with him, his place in my heart is just as big as it ever was. He wasn't around for his grand kids, never got to see them. I am lucky, I play with mine everyday. -
$2.50.9 in Carrollton, KY at Murphy USA w/o Wal Mart gas card.

I enjoyed the ride, thanks. -
Sounds like a great idea, are you a mobile service or do I need to bring it in for your professional detailing? Also, do you do pin stripping? Don't forget the chrome.

If you are building one like the one you pictured in your opening post, have you thought about putting a lift bar in the center of your dolly. http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=park+n+move+cruiser+model&FORM=HDRSC2 Park N Move has some for larger motorcycles with center stands and some for the ones with only a kick stand. Kinda neat.

Hope you got a chuckle, but on a more serious note, have you seen this one for your needs. http://www.kmsdirect.co.uk/magento/index.php/motorcycle-motorbike-motor-bike-garage-mover-skate-wheel-dolly-1250-lb-capacity

I hate being cramped in my work area, you know, spaces so tight that you have to go outside just to change your mind. So, with that in mine, here is an idea for this winter.... http://www.bing.com/local?lid=YN941x16064865&id=YN941x16064865&q=Cudahy+Self+Storage+Cudahy+WI .....to store everything that isn't motorcycle until you get your projects completed. LOL your center stand dolly sounds like it will work just fine and for the material price, not bad.

I picked up the lights on the sides of Tour Pack from Advanced Auto. They are not duel intensity, just piggy-backed to the wiring to the low side of the 3rd brake/tail light on the Tour Pack. I drilled a 1/4" hole in Tour Pack, inserted a 1/4" grommet and sealed it with black silicone from the inside to keep the water out.

I was a bit disappoint with the tail lights on my conversion, so I gave it some thought about what kind of lights, size, and where to mount them so it wouldn't look like a pimp wagon but I can be seen. I started shopping and ended up with 2 new light sets on the front and 3 sets on the back. Thinking on pinstripes on the back end to break up the single color just a bit. https://www.flickr.com/photos/126852147@N03/

I always called it Tail Light License Plate, and it happens that I have one still attached to my rear fender and don't need it since the conversion. Held it up to my tag and it was lower than the body. Tried to put some LED bulbs in it when on my RSV, ran it for a week and put stock bulbs back in, didn't like them.

Just got back from a trip to the Tail of the Dragon with my youngest granddaughter, Ali. We had one wonderful time thanks to motorcycle mike+ and his lovely wife Shirley. Ali and I spent two nights at the Dragon Pitt Inn and BBQ while Mike and the misses stayed in Robbinsville. We met up Saturday morning at Deals Gap and he took us on a loop that was about the best ride I have been on in a while. He is a GREAT ride captain, and any where he wants to lead, I will follow. Excellent scenery, the right amount of stops, and about the easiest new friend I have been around in a long time. Ali and I thank you for the most enjoyable day and hope to travel with you again.

Any tricks to put Diamond R armrests on Hannigan RSV Trike
kensattitude replied to kensattitude's topic in Watering Hole
Your household sounds like mine..........TOO MANY CHIEFS AND NOT ENOUGH INDIANS. Today I waited till my son went to bed, daughter in law took my Explorer to Dry Ridge, and granddaughters went to school. Shop/garage is much quieter when spectators are not around because sometimes my Navy language slips out and I don't have to explain what I just said. -
Since Carbon_One sold his "test" trike and has nothing to fit his armrests to, I broke down and got a set of Diamond R armrests. Some of the body is in the way for a direct approach like removing saddlebags, so, do any of you know any tricks to get these things bolted (don't plan on using screws) on. I have thought of using radiator clamps to attach them to the grab handles then removing from the trike and drill from reverse. Any suggestions will be accepted.
