Riding was great down here Sunday. I got 200+ with 2up and SHE WAS THE ONE WHO WANTED TO GO! What a deal! 70+..........great weather for late January

Carbon One's lift adapter is what I would recommend. I use it to wash, repair, and maintain my bike. I would never jack it up without it. I use the ATV lift from Sears and the two work great.

Kbran, do you have a link to help me find one?

Quite an ordeal for them. Glad to hear all is well with them for the most part. Sounds like someone is looking out for them.

I have them on my 07 anf no problems. I opted for the risers instead of Flanders bars mostly because of the extra cost of new cables if I changed bars. I wanted to get the bars back to me a little more and it does make quite a difference. I still want to go to the Flanders bars but I am waiting till later when I feel I should replace the cables, then I will invest in everything. PS, I rarely turn the handlebars too much to the left or right so it is not an issue.

As always, my friend Lowell, I wish you the best. Best roads, best weather, best views from your travels, and A Happy Merry Christmas!

I bought a three piece bag and drilled holes in the windshield to keep in place. Works great to keep my MP3 player, sunglasses and other items I use often while riding. Look at my gallery to see pictures.

Roadhand is because I work for the Texas Department of Transportation and started out (years ago) collecting traffic data throughout the state. I was describing my job one day to my dad and he called me a roadhand. Seemed to fit even though I did not actually work on the roadway. Was my CB handle, back in the day of those, and it seemed a good fit on my bike as well.

I have 7000+ on my 07 and I have not noticed any whine when traveling at any speed. I did have the dealer place additional grease as I did hear a dry sound a low speeds when I had less than 1000 miles on it. Buy one. You won't regret it.

Stebel air horn bracket
Roadhand replied to Carbon_One's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
As I am waiting on my bracket to mount the horn, I seem to be getting confused as to how to wire this. I want to replace the OEM horn with the stebel but my question is..... Is there another horn located inside the farring? If so, do I have to do anything to it or can I just replace the horn behind the drivers right floorboard? Suggestions are appreciated -
I think you would like the one from DiamondR. Look at the pictures of my bike. I know you do not have the pillowtop seats but they make a nice one for you style seats. Jim

RSV lift frame adapters - improved model
Roadhand replied to Carbon_One's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I just received mine and it works great. Glad to be able to get both wheels off the ground at once. I would strongly recommend to anyone with 2nd generation.. Thanks Larry -
The dealer installed the passing lamps so I believe they do run off the headlight circut as well. (just a guess on my part) but I will check with the Yamaha dealer and see how they wired them. I would have thought if the upgraded headlight bulb was drawing too much it would have blowen the fuse within a couple of days (hours) It has been 4 or 5 hundred miles since I changed it. Also since it is an 07, I was hoping I would not have too many problem but this is one I do need to fix as soon as possible.

I had to replace my headlight fuse this evening. went ot start it for a little ride just after dark and no ligghts. No headlight, tail light, no passing lamp lights. I replaced the 15amp fuse and all seems well. I did "upgrade" my headlight several weeks ago and had no problem until today. Anyone else have any thoughts? I sure don't want to take off and have it go out in the middle of a night time ride. I will carry a couple of extra fuses but now I am going to worry until time passes some.

When you state you "plugged my AIS" would you explain a little more about that. I have a 2007 RSMV and am new to this bike. Thank you in advance for you help.

I though about the "crown" in the road as well but if it was the crown, the bike would want to go right. Think about it, the 2% or greater slope of the roadways drain to the right. I will check the air pressure in the forks, check the tires, and also the wind deflectors that came standard. They both look equal but I was thinking if one was set a little different, it may be a cause. I once was thinking it may be from the power being applied from the engine to the rear wheel as the driveshaft is on the left side but it sound from ya'lls replys that no one else has this problem.

My new RSV rides like a dream. I do notice if I would loosen my grip on the bars, it seems to want to go left. As I have not had this bike for long (only 2000 miles) I was wondering, It this a tendancy of the Venture?
