I've seen a number of people report uneven rear brake pad wear. I bought my '05 RSV used and it passed state inspection only 2500 miles ago, so I wasn't expecting any brake issues for a while. I was dismayed when I started hearing grinding in the rear brakes. When I checked the pads, the inner was down to metal and the outer had 3/8" left. It seems that the caliper is sticking. Has anyone got Yamaha to cover the caliper and/or rotor under warranty? The bike has about 17k miles on it.
The rotor is only slightly scratched, should I replace it?
