I recently bought a pair of E-3s for my Goldwing the best prices I found anywhere were from http://www.tiresunlimited.com/default.htm Their phone number is right out in the open on the front page: 1-800-628-4737. This makes 2 sets of tires I've ordered from them and I've gotten very good deals and superior service and shipping. autopilot

Remarkable! We're all over the map on this aren't we? There's a couple of you that I HAVE to believe have a phenomenally well developed sense of humor. Dihydrogen-monoxide is good alone or with modifiers like tea or coffee or even cola syrup. I like mine filtered and bottled. Dihydrogen-monoxide is DMHO is H2O. Can you say WATER?! When water is broken down is where the differences lie. Approach it one way, you get plain old hydrogen and oxygen. Use a little different process and you get 2H or HH. 2H is NOT the same thing as hyrdogen per se; it is not injected water or vaporized water; it IS referred to by many as Brown's Gas although there's some differences of opinion on that. While the process used to get it is similar to electrolysis, it is NOT the same. The end product is NOT the same. The properties of the gas are distinctly NOT the same. Hydrogen doesn't cool when ignited, nor does it implode. I agree with the comment to do the research. Brown's Gas, alternate energy sources, HH, over unity energy, hydrogen, water for fuel are all fair to use as search terms. You can also read a little at either of these sites. They aren't dedicated to HH alone, but there are a number of articles on HH and related subjects to give a person a better Idea what they're dealing with. http://www.rexresearch.com/1index.htm http://befreetech.com/suppressed_inventions.htm http://www.eagle-research.com/ humbly submitted autopilkot

Nitrogen filled tires
autopilot replied to geresti's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
It's really odd that you mention that..I just today had my truck in the dealer for some needed attention and they had brochures about the use of N2 in tires. I would expect to get the same identical response out of motorcycle tires as truck & car tires. More stable pressure, better fuel mileage (not so much, because bike tire pressures are usually watched closer anyway), being inert you wouldn't get the interior degradation from oxidation (may not be a big benefit with this one either since we generally only get a few thousand miles out of tires anyway); I would guess though that temperature stability would be better with N2. And it might be worth a point or two on the wow-meter in discussions . But, seriously, though....cost isn't too bad...I just don't like the idea of running to the dealer when I need some. Then there's the matter of the compressor in the corner of the garage. I need to use it for more than footballs and basketballs............................ I am curious, though; since you use it in your truck tires...what differences have you noticed since you've been using nitrogen? Personally, I think helium would be much better! lower weight, better flotation, a LOT more fun tailgatin or when ya get a couple of beers under yer belt. Just mash the valve and play donald duck for the girls, till yer head hurts! or ya pass out:whistling: autopilot -

Gary, I am once again humbled by your personal strength and grace under such circumstances as these. Like many others, I would like to meet everyone here. Some more than others, and YOU, Gary, you, most of all. The commentaries from those folks here that have known Leslie and yourself, speak volumes to me about the kind of person she was and that you are! I hope to someday shake your hand, give you a hug and be able to walk away saying "I know that guy. He's a good and decent man............a friend; I know him and through him, I knew her". There are no coincedences in this world. Everything happens for a purpose. I thought my good fortune was the bike and the deal I got on it. Were it not for needing an information source relating to the bike, I wouldn't have been here. Looking across the membership postings, my arrival here, it appears, was the beginnings of some very good fortune, indeed! Steve R. (the autopilot)

I've seen a lot of his stuff. Admittedly the guy has skill, but what a jerk...He'll pull up right in front of the police station and smoke the rear tire just to tick 'em off good so they'll come after him. Don't ya know he gives his folks nightmares! But according to one of the little vids, the cops arrested him and confiscated the bike.....Got him while he was giving an interview bragging about his exploits. autopilot

Hey Pilot, Do you have a different link for that? The file info says it's a .php file, rather than a bmp file and my machine's not wanting to display it. No big deal if you don't, it's just that after Popeye's comment, I'm really curious to see it! autopilot

Got a set with 7200 mile off my TD. I sent you a PM. I have some pics as I was preparing to put them in an ad or on ebay. I have placed an ad, with pics, in the classifieds here on VR.org since my initial response to your post. Take a look and let me know. For any body that's interested...I got a low mileage pair of Avon Venom X's just went up for sale! Ad with pic is now in classifieds autopilot

Kbay, Prayers up from me for you! Been there, done that with the cardiac Docs. Hopefully, it'll be something else entirely. If not, at least relatively low on the serious meter. Keep us aprised! Autopilot

That recipe sounds for all the world like "shepard's pie". I don't know the specific ingredients but it reminds me of a little family restaurant at a little town in GA, along the Intercoastal Waterway, where we stopped for the day when moving my brothers boat. They served it up in a big pan on a steam table, but man that was a seriously good eating dish. (actually dishes..I went back a couple of times; Hey, it was an all you could eat buffet, what can I say?) My mother used to make fruitcakes every year. I never understood why. No one every ate them or even admitted wanting them. She eventually switched over to my favorite...nut rolls. I gotta go get a snack. autopilot

There's nothing that sounds like a 'Wing or a Valkyrie with pipes. Sounds positively wicked! My TD with the Cobra Dragpipes sounds great (to me), but those extra 2 jugs make for some real happytunes. IMHO! autopilot

I just realized, looking at Z Factor's post, that my post may have given the impression that the VOX came with the headsets at $100 apiece. NO! I'm adding those separately. I still feel like it's still a good deal for a very good quality, modular helmet with the flip-down internal sun-shade. Sorry for the misleading wording in my original post. My bad! autopilot The helmet I really want isn't available in the states yet. http://www.reevu.com/images/silverthumb.jpghttp://www.reevu.com/images/frthumb.jpg Yeah, rearview built in! www.reevu.com

If your getting a 3/4 with a full shield like that that pivots close to the ear, why not just get a modular? You get the protection benefit of a full helmet plus the ability to flip either the shield or the entire front of the helmet. I picked up 2 from VOX. They have the separate tinted, flip-down shade and weren't but $100. Got them for cold weather and ridin the Wing (headsets, intercom, etc.) http://www.sterlingtek.com/voxfufaflupm.html http://images.channeladvisor.com/Sell/SSProfiles/82000038/Images/1/helmetcool2.gif One last comment. You spoke of goggles. I also got my wife a pair of goggles initially (I had trouble finding a suitable shield) They are made specifically for use with glasses. I got them from Motorcycle Superstore They are EMGO "Over The Glasses Goggles" and run $30 http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/3/11/96/3/Class/Cruiser-Motorcycle-Goggles-Eyewear-Mens-Riding-Gear.aspx

Well, it's a 100% volunteer force these days, so they both went in with eyes open. Takes a man, just for that. I am proud FOR you and though I don't know them, I'm proud OF them. Please tell them that an American veteran and fellow motorcyclist salutes them, thanks them and wishes them God-speed! And thank you, Sir, for giving me a chance to tell them. autopilot

Freezyrider, I couldn't agree more about the getting old thing. My middle finger on my clutch hand triggers. I sorta mangled my index finger and took off a chunk of thumb a couple years ago in a home improvement episode and still have issues hanging on to the grip (or hammers or glasses or coffee cups...I guess that's why we get 2 of them.....of course it goes without saying that if I bang up the other one I'm really screwed.. .......or hammered). The hand does get a little sore after a while though, especially if I'm riding around town having to shift a lot. If it gets bad enough I'll put an Autclutch on the RSTD and forget about it! Pretty nifty actually! If interested....http://www.efmautoclutch.com/harley.shtml Page has video clips and a line item for V-Max & ventures. autopilot

Shoot, I thought every body knew what passing lights was! It's them little orange color blinky lights. My motor cycle drivin rule book says I have to turn 'em on every time I pass some body! That is right ain't it?.......What do you mean no?.......but those are drivin lights, or fog lights!........That don't even make sense!....You can't make 'em blink on one side or the other and besides they're the wrong color! They're supposed to be orange in front........besides, I'd have to just about climb over the handlebars to flip that little switch on the side of the left hand light off and on and off and on all while I'm passing somebody .....why would I even consider doing that?? It's hard enough doing it when it starts getting dark as it is! You know how many times a day I pass people? Well it only gets dark once! La la la la la, I'm not listening to you! You're just trying to confuse me! Look at what on the Yamaha web site?............................................................................................ Ahhhhh........Ummmmm.....aahhh.........yeah, but I still do the orange blinky lights when I pass, right?................... Never mind! humor (such as it is) brought to you by autopilot

Wow is just a deficient expletive..that's all I can say. The Lord indeed had His hand in there keeping you two safe from serious harm. If you do intend pursuing the tire issue, don't let the insurance company get away with the bike before you get all the tire data off the actual tire. I have seen a circumstance where the purchase date info didn't jive with the tire date code by over a year! A month or 2 maybe, but not a year. autopilot

Yeah...the mound behind the bike is the RIDER that didn't make it inside either! OR!! "bike & me go party. me drink too much. bike drink too much. me not think too good...me tell bike don't come inside till bike take dirty shoes off.....me sorry, me so sad.....me don't deserve friend like bike." OR HEY, You know how this stuff goes. We just partied a little, honest. I didn't know she would follow me home, much less sit outside all night! Man, I always pick the wackos! OK, so maybe I did massage her headlight a little. JEEZ!........It's not my fault!!! Honestly, I'm not sure I want to know the real reason that bike is sitting there like that! Steve (aka Autopilot)

This will take a little explaining, but please bear with me; it's been a long time coming and if I don't tell someone who will appreciate it, I'll bust! I got my '98 RSTD back in May, after about a 25 year dry spell of being without. As luck would have it, I didn't even get to ride in the spring because of hernia surgery, followed shortly by a minor heart attack and stent surgery. When I finally got the OK to do things again, I wanted to get W/W tires and pipes put on and I had to get it lowered before I was going to attempt going anywhere. I also wanted to get the 8k service done way early so I'd have a good warm & fuzzy. Finally got all that done and started getting some time on the bike to get my "sea legs" back so to speak and have spent the last couple of months regaining my proficiency (to MY level of expectation). My wife of almost 40 years never rode with me more a couple of miles (and only one time at that) on either my Bonneville ('69) or Suzuki ('82) back in the day. Well, it seems she has a yen to ride now. She got herself a neat little leather jacket and the cutest little bitty engineer boots I've ever seen. A friend was getting rid of his Harley and his wife gave mine her helmet (used maybe 2 times), and we were pretty well set to go. She got a cold and was off the radar for about a month, then I had a less severe bout and a lingering sore throat, that finally went away. Which brings us to today. After she went for some last minute groceries for Thanksgiving, we donned our duds and took a perfect 75 degree ride through the country near here, for about an hour and a half. I almost cried. I love riding, especially out in the country. It is SO much more fulfilling and fun to have her ride with me after all these years. I can't imagine a better day (in this world) than today! She enjoyed the ride and the bike; I was ecstatic. So, when I give thanks tomorrow (today, now) it will be for a lot of things...life, love, God's blessings and yes..my motorcycle and the day before Thanksgiving, 2007, when me and my wife went motorcycle riding 2-up. M-m-m-m-m...Man life is good! Steve.R (aka autopilot)
