  1. Prayers away!
  2. I pray for your deliverence from these shackles, both physical & financial.
  3. How many did everybody else get????:rotf::rotf: I couldn't help myself!
  4. There's a guy in Akron, Ohio (Akron Suzuki Works) I think his name is John Wilson. He's not a dealer, but he does restorations on 80s vintage GS Suzuki's. I haven't dealt with him personally, but he might be willing to share some info. or maybe shoot you a copy of a drawing or something. I was thinking hard about a GS1100L he sold on Ebay a few months ago, but couldn't work out all the details on my end. (like convincing my wife I needed a third bike) His number is 330 958-1825, if you want to contact him. (I got the number from the Ebay ad)
  5. Bob, not to be the rain on parade day, but: Einstein's Theory of Relativity relates to mass-energy equivalence (E=mc2). The statement "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction" is Sir Isaac Newton's 3rd Law of Motion.
  6. Might not be as bad if they'd try giving us what we want for a change!
  7. Prayers up..for continued good news and ultimate conclusion.
  8. RE: the short leg thing. Get a good pair of M/C boots. The thicker heels & soles should help...If you need more, have a local shoe repair place build up the sole and heel a little more. It doesn't sound like you need much to get flat-footed with the bike straight up. Obviously, you have the other suggestions about air pressure and seat modification as well. Take the course and practice, practice, practice!!!! Welcome aboard!
  9. Nah.....Duct tape!!
  10. Good grief, you have WHAT falling out of the SKY???? I knew there was supposed to be climate change going on, but REALLY, that's a bit much! Remind me not to visit in the cooler weather! I certainly wouldn't want to be caught in a s***storm! Under the circumstances, I don't think it would prevent it, but I think plugging your ears would be very much appropriate, although plugging your nose seems like a better idea. By the way, does this happen often around there? Wow! Dude, I am so sorry for you guys! I sure hope the winter's mild. (Yes, I'll be the one on the left for my badness)
  11. Best wishes on the surgery. Will say a prayer for ya! ...Fiberglass....that's kinda like plastic.....Ya know, you could put Venture graphics on that thing, airbrush a headlight on the front.......Hmmmmm! It could work. You could definitely have some fun with that (after a few weeks of healing time)
  12. We had been looking at this trip also, but as a package with air & ground transport from Myrtle Beach and back . The wife was doing the actual checking. But, that was before they clubbed our income with a mace, gutted it and SET FIRE TO IT. Whoa! Head Rush! I don't know what her thoughts are at the moment, but I'll certainly find out. I think we need to get away for a little while (actually that would be: SHE needs to; I want to)
  13. Very Cool Indeed!!!
  14. Sure hope it can be fixed quickly and inexpensively, whatever it turns out to be.
  15. Prayers away!
  16. You know the old saying........"One good turn(over) deserves another!!!!!":big-grin-emoticon:
  17. Sometimes drivel is a good thing! Good woman, getting back to a good weight, going to church again! Sounds like a plan to me. I hope all of it goes well for you.
  18. I appreciate the input. Thanks again!
  19. try anything that involves a squarewave! feels just like it looks.......even the memory hurts!
  20. AAARRRRRRRGHHH!!! Avast there, me hartys! A round of grog for all me mates. Yo HO HO and a dead man's chest. If ye say nary a word about the treasure, we'll keel-haul yer good fer nuthing hide, B'fore I run ya thru with me blade! arrgh!
  21. At least you won't have to worry about worms for a few months!
  22. I know this has been asked before, but for the life of me I can't find the right threads & posts. Did the search...no joy! Would anyone be so kind as to recommend a brand of brake pads for my '98 RSTD and a retailer or two where I can get them at the best prices. I don't play canyon racer wannabe or anything like that (not like we actually have canyons around here anyway) and I am generally not hard on brakes at all, so they won't have to be some special race capable part. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to have a source or two for rotors, while we're at it, just in case! Thanks in advance...
  23. www.f4customs.com A bit pricey, but darn near bulletproof and hard to scratch.
  24. I still have vivid memories of having to contain my desire to throttle my boys. I think a root canal would have been less painful at times! Say ahhh!
  25. Congatulations and best wishes to all. And don't you look spiffy??
