How can the gas drain from the tank, through the carbs and into the crankcase? The fuel pump is lower than the carbs.

I have a 2002 RSMV. The petcock has started leaking when I put it on reserve. I noticed it weeping a little a couple of months ago but didn't think too much about it since I rarely switch to reserve. I had to switch coming home tonight and when I came in the house I smelled like I took a gas bath. Can I replace the seals or do I need to replace the petcock? Thanks in advance.

I liked the e2's too. I ran them on my '85 Goldwing until I couldn't get them any more.

I seldom get out of 3rd until about 60mph. My around town driving is about 1/2 highway and 1/2 side streets. I do tend to twist it pretty good when getting on the hwy though.

What RPM's do you run at? I get around 30-32MPG in town, on the hwy. Doesn't seem to matter. I try to keep the rpms around 3-4,000.

I get right at 30MPG on my '02 RSMV. Sometimes a little lower, sometimes a little better.

ragtop68gs, those heat exchangers are probably still available. If they are what I think they are. But it would be cheaper in the long run to replace the furnace.

Hopefully uncledj can get you fixed up. That part is still available but it is expensive. List price is $535 and change.

Look at the pilot and spark control too. One style pilot will have three wires going to it. The other will have one cable. One type spark control is a small black box, the other is a large gray box.

Depending on what series it is, there are three types of pilot and spark control for this unit. The complete product and serial number will determine which you have.
