  1. Have you tried Dennis Kirk? They have a Michelin for the rear. https://www.denniskirk.com/tires/2013-yamaha-xvz1300tfs-royal-star-venture-s.mmy
  2. I didn't know about grapes being toxic to dogs but I haven't owned a dog for about 27 years. Before that though I had a dog most of the time. I'm surprised my kids didn't give our dogs some grapes when they were growing up.
  3. That British guy gets Chinese replacement engines for his. I think he has changed it out more than once since he has ridden it all over the world it appears.
  4. I've really enjoyed watching this guy's videos! https://c90adventures.co.uk/ At CT70 just popped up on Facebook Marketplace I noticed today. It looks like new. The owner said he bought it at an estate sale and it only has 300 miles on it.
  5. My son has been recording/mixing music for Beyonce' for over 10 years. She won 4 Grammys last night and my son who recorded/mixed her music was awarded 2 Grammys. This makes 4 Grammys total for him! Had to brag a little! Sorry!
  6. Seems to me that a master cylinder rebuild is needed and maybe a caliper rebuild also while you are at it.
  7. Recently, a Partzilla ad popped up on my computer for LED bulbs for motorcycles. Perhaps they are plug and play more so than others? I don't know. They claim to be guaranteed to fit. https://www.partzilla.com/search?q=led+bulbs&ui=typeahead
  8. I'm confused about the legal limit on lumens. I have read in some places that 3,000 lumens is the federal limit and have read other information that didn't agree with that number. So I'm cornfused. I noticed that the bulb in the link is rated 6,000 lumens.
  9. Lay z boy recliners are the best in my opinion.
  10. The things we do. 😅 Now if it was a motorcycle!!!!! or boat!!!!
  11. Beautiful bike! You got a great deal it seems to me.
  12. I've had 3 pfizer vaccines, the last was about 14 months ago. Don't know if that helped or not? My wife has had no vaccines and it appears to be affecting her about the same as me. She is 17 years younger than I. First time getting covid for both of us. She did get sick a few times during the epidemic but never tested positive for covid. I"m sure both of us will be fine in a few days. A nurse friend of my wife told her that the local hospital has two floors filled with covid patients!
  13. I went through the whole covid epidemic so far without even getting a cold. Monday, I woke up hoarse and coughing like crazy. Tuesday, I felt really bad. I took ivermectin both days. Wednesday I started feeling a little better. I tested positive for covid. Thursday I felt almost normal again with no fever. Today, I feel almost normal with some coughing. So, I guess a 78 year old man with health issues can survive the crap. My wife got it a couple of days after I did. I'd like to kick fauci's azz all over the county for funding the creation of this virus with taxpayer funds.
  14. The holidays are over! Now we can exercise more, lose weight, ride more, and kiss the wife more often!!!! Well okay, I can dream! 😂
  15. Thanks for the update. We'll be hoping for the best.
  16. I spent 3 yrs and 8 months in Homestead, FL just south of Miami working on the nuclear plant there and I love the weather down there. Winter lasts about 2 weeks and the summers aren't any hotter than where I live in Wilmington, NC, just longer. The water from about Ft. Lauderdale south is crystal clear and the fishing is fantastic. We spent lots of time in the Keys fishing and visited Key West many times. And there is a reef from about Ft. Lauderdale south past Key West that keeps the waves down, so it's a fantastic place to go snorkeling or fishing. Only thing about Homestead and the Miami area is that the crime level is higher than normal. That is when I got a carry permit for the first time. I'm the old guy in the photo if you couldn't guess😁
  17. Hey, time for a condo in Ft. Lauderdale, or the Florida Keys! 😃
  18. Hoping for the best outcome for your wife! Do some research on Vitamin K2, MK7. It helps the body use calcium for your bones instead of clogging your arteries. It has helped me a LOT. I can be much more active before feeling angina pains now. I started taking Doctors Best brand 100mcg daily and now I'm taking it 4 times daily. The stuff has really worked for me.
  19. The Venture has a fuel gauge and a warning when it gets low. When the light comes on and the gauge says empty, if the fuel valve is turned to ON, it will run out within minutes. So, I feel like it's best to leave the valve set on reserve.
  20. When my RSV says the tank is empty, it is about to run out of gas if it is set on ON. And there is a lot more than .7 gallons left when it runs out set on ON. I just keep mine on reserve so maybe nothing will collect in the bottom and hopefully the filter will take it out if there are any particles there.
  21. This is more like what I like in a retro bike. https://www.totalmotorcycle.com/motorcycles/2023/2023-kawasaki-z900rs 110hp, dual front brake discs, water cooling
  22. And hopefully the whine would be eliminated.
  23. Looks like it has the narrow seat of the old bikes too, ones that make your butt feel like it's going to break after about 30 minutes. Maybe the engine has balancers to reduce the vibration of the twin. I was toying with the idea of buying one of those newer Honda CB1100 retro bikes but after I sat down on one, I changed my mind. Update, I just read a review of the bike and the engine does have a balance shaft to reduce the vibration. It has about 50hp which might feel underpowered after riding a Venture. I love my 85 Kawasaki ZN700. It has a 74hp four, shaft drive, dual disc brakes in the front and a disc brake in the rear and it weighs the same as the W800. If it had a more comfy seat, it would be close to perfect. https://images.search.yahoo.com/yhs/search?p=kawasaki+zn700+photos&fr=yhs-syndic8-active8&type=sourceAUD1&hspart=syndic8&hsimp=yhs-active8&imgurl=http%3A%2F%2Fsuprememotos.com%2Fuploads%2Fpostfotos%2F1985-kawasaki-zn700-ltd-2.jpg#id=5&iurl=http%3A%2F%2Fsuprememotos.com%2Fuploads%2Fpostfotos%2F1985-kawasaki-zn700-ltd-2.jpg&action=click
  24. Nothing like being young and indestructible!
  25. Best wishes for a easy surgery and a great outcome!
