  1. If they insist on revealing who won, you'd definitely have to move to a secure location and maybe even hire a body guard if the win is unusually large. If your kids are young and you give them a lot of money, you may kill their incentive to do anything productive with their lives. Winning would not be all good. Or you could live like Beyonce and husband JayZ. They don't own a home. They live in hotel suites, LA in the winter, NYC in the summer, or Paris when they feel like it. My son records Bey and he goes with them most of the time. He records her wherever she is, even in hotel rooms because she is almost always working on a new material.
  2. I'd probably use that tire. They wear out quickly anyway if you ride much.
  3. Unless she's buttering you up for something???
  4. I feel for you guys in the north. I spent 2 winters in Nebraska, one in IL, two in upper WI, one in OH, one in NY on Lake Ontario, and one in PA while working temp contracts. The winter here at home on the southern coast of NC is unusually warm with the temp up to 60 today.
  5. It would be fun watching robot ridden bikes competing against human riders just to see the humans intentionally wreck the robot controlled bikes:big-grin-emoticon:
  6. Nah, the riding season is too short.
  7. That is the best lottery of all to win:173:
  8. There are so many huge Americans now that you never know about that!
  9. My annual physical is scheduled for Jan 25. The PA who examined me last year pursued other employment and I found out yesterday that my appt is with a lady doctor. We'll see how that goes.
  10. Only auto I've thought of recently that I would like to buy is that 2007 Corvette Z06 with 427 cu in 505 hp, 3,147lbs. with only 5,800 miles on it that my son thought about buying. He bought the new GT Mustang instead for less money. But, I'm retired. I can't rationalize spending $39k on anything that frivolous.
  11. Not about me! Both my bikes are worth less than the tires on just the truck!
  12. Where do people get the money to spend on crap like that?
  13. Sure is a beautiful rifle:big-grin-emoticon:
  14. I flipped the tv to Jay Leno's Garage one day and he was driving his 1919 electric car. He said it had 80 to 100 miles range on one charge. But, it would only go 20mph. So, electric cars have been around for a while. They still don't have the range of a gasoline powered car. They will become more prevalent I'm sure but I'm not worried about it. The internal combustion engine has been refined a bunch over the years and they are still getting better. Smaller direct injected turbo engines seem to be the way at the moment.
  15. It's a fairly small car, smaller than your G6 isn't it? If you can live with one that small, it probably is as nice as you will find, almost new and much cheaper than new. Me, I love the size, comfort and power of my big Dodge Magnum with the Hemi!! I'm retired also and I only drive about 7 k miles a year split between my 02 F150 4x4 and my 05 Dodge Magnum. My wife has an 2013 Infiniti EX37, the small crossover suv, with 10k miles on it and when we go on a trip, she wants to go in my Magnum that has 103k miles on it because it is more comfortable.
  16. My main resolution is to have the most fun possible this year, which includes riding lots more. Of course also the usual, lose weight, exercise more, blah, blah, blah:bang head:
  17. I'm like an old Buick, heavy and not as quick as the Mustangs, but comfortable:rotf:
  18. Mr. Condor, I apologize for irritating you. That was not my intention. When you posted the error, Chaharly was curious as to what engine the Mustang had and I was trying to help. Now, you have my curiosity up. Ford bored out the 289 cu in engine to 4" cylinders in 1968 making it a 302 cu in or as it later became known as, a 5.0L. The 289 was only made in 1965, 1966 and 1967.
  19. Where does the 289 HP number come from? The GT of that year 1994 was rated 215hp with 285 ft lbs of torque. The Cobra had 240hp and the same torque as the GT Do you mean 289 cu in high performance? The engines are 302 cu in. The 289 was phased out in the late 60's.
  20. Leaving the coolant in too long contributes to head gasket failure or so I've read because of corrosion.
  21. 5.0, most likely the 5.7 is a typo. I bought a 95 Mustang V6 3.8L 5 speed for son #1 . It felt fairly powerful I thought. It had good low end torque. Those 3.8L V6s tend to blow head gaskets which my son's did. I think the thermostat stuck closed and caused it to overheat and that did it. About the same time, my 95 Mark VIII Lincoln that had the 4.6L 32 valve DOHC engine had a stuck closed thermostat. It didn't get very hot and I replaced the stat without hurting the engine. Later on, I bought son #2 a 2000 Mustang auto with the 3.8L V6. I changed the thermostat to a fail safe thermostat as soon as I bought it. I think Ford had fixed the head gasket issue by 2000 though. There are lots of discussions on the web about 3.8L engines blowing head gaskets.
  22. The Cobra had a 32 valve DOHC 4.6L engine. They came out in 96. Ford never put anything larger than the 5.0 in the Mustang after 1973. Prior to 96 the Cobra had a mildly modified 5.0. And sometime after 96, a Mach I was offered with the 4.6 DOHC and the Cobra had a supercharged 4.6 DOHC
  23. No, it's either a 5.0 or 4.6 if stock. I don't remember for sure when they went to the 4.6. I think it might be 96?
